*Webinar* Building and critiquing your own design portfolio with Sarah Doody

As UX folks, we are often our own worst client! We’re great at creating awesome experiences for other people. But when it comes to our own projects, we get lost in the weeds and feel like we never make progress.

Listen, your UX portfolio is just like any other UX project you’ve worked on! To make an awesome portfolio, you need to get out of your head and make sure you’re designing it for the end user — the UX recruiters and hiring managers!

In this session, I will share 10 questions that you must ask to critique your own UX portfolio. You’ll leave with actionable changes and tweaks you can make to improve your UX portfolio so that it helps to showcase your UX process, communicate your skills, and give an authentic representation of who you are as a designer.

About Sarah

Sarah Doody is a UX Design Consultant, Writer, Trainer, and Speaker. She helps companies assess product ideas, understand customers, and design and launch products. For companies with a product already in the market, she helps optimize the user experience through metrics and research.

Sarah is passionate about helping people learn to think like a designer—through writing, teaching, and speaking. She created a popular weekly newsletter, The UX Notebook, and writes regularly for the design community. She also self-published her own book, How To Think Like A Designer. In 2011, she created the curriculum for and taught General Assembly’s first 12-week UX immersive. More recently, she created her own series of online UX courses including User Research Mastery and the UX Portfolio School.
