It's time for another #MomsInTech Meetup!
Join MotherCoders, in partnership with Tech Ladies, for a night of learning and networking with fellow new parents in tech!
To help you navigate potential career challenges, our program will begin with some #RealTalk from a panel of experts, including Sara Mauskopf, CEO & co-founder of Winnie. This will then be followed by a career roadmapping workshop provided by Dr. Carol Langlois and Wendy Saccuzzo, co-founders of Empowered Tech.
At the end of the night, you'll walk away with an action plan tailored to your career goals, plus strategies for how to implement it. Topics covered in the workshop will include:
identifying themes in your career
identifying transferable skills and how they relate to what you'll do next
identifying your values and how they fit with your career
how to conduct informational interviews so you can identify what your dream job looks like
5:30-6:15pm | Sign-in + Eat
6:15-6:45pm | Panel Discussion + Q&A
6:45-7:00pm | Break
7:00-8:00pm | Career Roadmapping Workshop
Dinner is included as part of your registration fee. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have dietary restrictions.
Bonus: Kristal Robinson, founder of Kakery Box, will be donating dessert! (Thanks, Kristal!)
We know evening events are super tough for parents, so we're providing a $25 childcare stipend via Trusted for those who need it. Please send an email to email@example.com after registration and we'll reach out with details. We're also open to providing larger childcare stipends to those who need it on a case by case basis.
We may take photographs and/or video activities at the event for many purposes. Unless you let us know by writing in advance, you consent to your image being used in all marketing collateral and communications by purchasing a ticket to this event.
The purpose of these meetups is provide moms with opportunities to build the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to succeed in tech. However, everyone age 18 and over who supports the MotherCoders mission is welcomed to attend, including men, trans and non-gender-conforming individuals, as well as people who are not moms.
