What we need from you

PhD or MSc in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or a related field.

Experience: 10+ years of data science experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, managing teams in dynamic and collaborative environments.

Technical Skills:

  • Proven expertise in clustering, predictive modelling, reinforcement learning, and Bayesian statistics.
  • Experience in reinforcement learning and Agentic systems would be ideal
  • Experience in ML Ops and deploying machine learning models at scale.
  • Proficiency in Python or R, and familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Kafka) and/or cloud platforms (e.g., GCP or Azure).

  • 5+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams, especially with software developers, project managers, and other product managers.
  • 2+ years of experience leading platforms, GDKs, or other enterprise products, where the product and customer is technical in nature.
  • 2+ years of experience leading products that involve integrating new solutions within existing frameworks, and ensuring backwards compatibility
  • Have a technical degree in the field of software engineering or similar.

$132,825 - $246,675 per year

Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.

The successful candidate will own the employee relations tasks and actions, provide employee relations direction and guidance within an assigned region, serve as a contact for employee relations related initiatives, help navigate and resolve employee relations matters, provide policy interpretation and partner with internal stakeholders such as P&C business partners, P&C center of expertise, legal and compliance teams to ensure employee relations compliance with company policies and practices.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct thorough and objective investigations regarding, but not limited to, workplace issues, whistleblowers, disciplinary issues, complaints, and grievances.
  • Respond to requests, assist employees and managers, document findings, make recommendations, and drive appropriate actions to resolve complex employee-related matters promptly.
  • Partner with P&C business partners and assist managers in assessing, performing employee relations work, determining appropriate corrective actions, providing guidance and solutions, and mitigating risk across all employee relations scope of services and employee relations matters.
  • Ensure corrective actions are fair, consistent, and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, company employee standards, and expectations.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, produce metrics, and create reports with recommended actions regarding employee relations initiatives.

Develop documentation in response to employment-related matters and liaise with legal and business partners to prepare required documentation for employees, third parties, or governmental agencies.

  • Conduct exit interviews, surveys, and analyze feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Identify, create, maintain, and obtain approval for all necessary employee/labor relations policies, practices, handbooks, and procedures across Aristocrat.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelors Degree and 5-7 years of HR experience or related field or experience
  • Preferred 3+ years of employee relations experience
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of labor laws, investigations, conflict resolution, and employee relations best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively navigate sensitive matters and deliver clear messages
  • Working under minimal supervision, provide effective service, support, consultation, and resolution of complex ER inquiries and issues through the informed application of company policies, programs, procedures, and federal/state laws.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing solutions that cover everything – user needs, business goals, and all the nitty-gritty backend stuff that keeps our platform safe and secure. You take time to understand complex backend processes enough to deliver delightful user-facing experiences.
  • You will work cross functionally with Engineering, Product, Analytics teammates defining our Safety features.
  • You will create the flows, beautiful mockups, amazing prototypes, and help ensure it is implemented to pixel perfection.
  • You will present and communicate your designs to the team and the greater organization to build consensus around your concepts.
  • You will test, learn, and iterate on everything you do.
  • You will meaningfully contribute, maintain and commit to our Design System library.

What you should have

  • You have 5+ years of experience designing modern consumer-focused products.
  • You have a high level of skill at crafting high quality visual designs and have an eye for creating delight in every product experience.
  • A portfolio of work on which you were the primary designer contributing to high impact projects for both desktop and mobile.
  • You have meaningfully worked on, or with a design system.
  • You proactively form ideas and present them to your cross-functional team to develop strategy and roadmaps.
  • You collaboratively guide the vision for the product and achieve it through design explorations, documentation, and presentations.

Salary: $196,000 to $220,500 + equity + benefits

  • Design intricate applications spanning multiple services, APIs, and data stores

Notes

This role is offered as a full-time employee position within the United States, with a salary range of $90,000–$120,000 USD, and on a contractual basis in Latin America with a compensation range of $48,000–$70,000 USD. Compensation is adjusted based on the candidate’s location to ensure equity and alignment with local market conditions. Paid time off is offered to all of our team including those in contracted roles. Other benefits vary by location.

Your Role: 

At K1X, the Product Designer plays a critical role in crafting exceptional user experiences.
