This is a full-time exempt on-site position located in Oakland, California.

In your role, you’ll…

  • Build and maintain observability tools that provide insight and ensure smooth operation of our platform.
  • Optimize cloud resources to meet the performance needs of each service and decrease AWS spend.
  • Create documentation that is easier to find and easy to understand.
  • Improve our reliability, security, and quality of our cloud infrastructure with automation of processes including: configuration management, application/infrastructure deployment, and compliance/governance.
  • Proactively support production operations by building logging/monitoring/alerting functionality across our environment.
  • Be on-call and respond to critical site reliability issues.
  • Improve our on-call and incident management processes by encouraging deeper understanding, communication, and trust. 
  • Support developer projects by influencing design and implementation of infrastructure and site reliability features as well as providing technical guidance.
  • Support compliance efforts by promoting continuous documentation of our processes and involvement in audits.Build scalable workflows to automate build, deployment, and management of the Everlaw platform. 

About You

  • You have at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer platform or infrastructure engineer or in a similar role or at least 2 years of experience and a BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent coursework.
  • Due to federal contract requirements, Everlaw may only hire US citizens for this role.
  • For three of the five years immediately prior to applying for a position, you must: 1) have resided in the United States; 2) have worked for the United States overseas in a Federal or military capacity; or 3) be a dependent of a Federal or military employee serving overseas.
  • You have a passion for automation and tooling paired with effective scripting experience and experience building reusable tools.
  • You are proficient with Python programming.
  • You have good knowledge of algorithms and fundamental computer science concepts.
  • You have experience with Infrastructure as Code and container solutions to manage cloud environments (ex: Terraform, Ansible, Docker, etc).
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills that can motivate and move the team towards a common direction. 
  • You have experience with performance tuning and monitoring systems (ex: ELK, Prometheus, Datadog, etc).

Benefits

  • The expected salary range for this role is between $105,000 and $181,000. The final offered salary will be dependent upon many factors, including the candidate’s experience, skills, and interview performance. The base pay range is subject to change in the future.

Job Summary:

The DEEP&T Quality & Insights team is seeking a Software Engineering Senior Manager who has a true passion for solving problems and growing talent. This senior manager will lead a team that develops automation, processes, and infrastructure to ensure the quality of the backend API’s and data systems that support the Disney streaming service ecosystem. We are looking for an engineering leader who is excited to push the envelope and grow with our team. We are a fast-paced group that takes extraordinary pride in creating innovative, effective, and efficient test automation solutions using cutting edge tools and constantly improving upon them.

As a member of our team, you will strive to accomplish the following goals:

  • Motivating and managing multiple quality teams, building skills, and driving positive employee engagement.
  • Ensuring successful product launches and on-time delivery.
  • Providing strategic input on future initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of test automation frameworks, infrastructure, and associated execution environments.
  • Being a member of the larger Quality Engineering team, increasing quality through innovation, collaboration, curiosity and thoughtful debate.
  • Contributing to the successful implementation of solutions for complex technical problems across DEEP&T engineering teams, driving the deployment of Disney backend and guest-facing products at Disney Quality.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Manage multiple agile globally distributed teams of full-time and contracted engineers.
  • Set and manage team expectations and OKRs.
  • Report on project and team progress to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product, program, engineering, and operations on the quality delivery of supported products.
  • Drive the planning, design and implementation of both short-term and long-term projects.
  • Support budget and resource planning needs.
  • Successfully analyze and resolve complex problems, leading and coordinating across both internal and external teams & stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide managers, leaders and senior engineers.
  • Guide and direct a cohesive technical direction for the teams, supporting and performing code and architecture reviews when needed.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer and/or Electrical Engineering, or comparable field of study and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in software development or automated testing.
  • 7+ years of management or people leadership experience.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following programming languages: Node/JavaScript, Java, Python.
  • Experience with system and unit testing frameworks, SDLC tools such as Jira and Confluence, version control systems (e.g. Git), and CI/CD tools and pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Highly skilled in project management practices, leading quality teams, mentoring people and technology leaders, and setting technical direction.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to deliver project tasks on time.
  • Highly motivated, self-starting individual with strong verbal and written communication skills who can successfully communicate up, down, and across.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing or testing media streaming technologies and applications.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in mobile application development and testing.
  • Experience with developing applications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), leveraging standard ecosystem tools such as Kafka, Amazon SQS, and Kinesis.
  • Working knowledge of web accessibility fundamentals.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, and CI/CD systems.
  • Experience with test suite/case/run management tools (e.g., JIRA Xray, etc.).
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning tools and models, and their relevant application in software development and testing.

The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $184,300 to $247,100 per year, in New York, NY and Seattle, WA is $193,100 to $258,900 per year, and in San Francisco, CA is $201,900 to $270,700 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Additional Information

You'll craft effective marketing strategies, competitive pricing, and provide technical training and support to Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Service teams. You'll also explore new products, partners and markets while enhancing existing ones, ensuring all products achieve and maintain profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the product's technical aspects, applications, and competitive strengths and weaknesses to effectively train and support and train the sales team and our customers 
  • Coordinate with Marketing to drive the creation of website and marketing content for use across digital and traditional channels 
  • (Sales Strategy?) Develop selling prices and pricing guidelines 
  • Provide timely support to sales with tools, technical assistance, training, and direct customer interaction 
  • Assist in closing orders when requested or deemed necessary to meet sales goals 
  • Evaluate market trends and needs to identify and develop or modify products to meet these opportunities 
  • Develop information on key suppliers, manage relationships with them, and work with Supply Chain to find new suppliers and develop additional sources for competitive products 
  • Collaborate with the supply-chain team to develop inventory strategies and manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory 
  • Lead in resolving customer complaints and Corrective Action Requests (CARs), ensuring quality service and customer satisfaction 
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., CE, RoHS, ISO) and manage documentation 
  • Direct product development through the Innovation process, creating product strategy and roadmaps 

Required Qualifications

  • Technical background in Product Management/Sales/Engineering 
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent working experience 
  • Strong technical knowledge 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Fluent in the English language 
  • Overnight and international travel (as needed)

We are seeking a highly motivated, career-oriented, and customer-centric Data Analyst to join our ESG Data Management team and begin an exciting and challenging career with Aristocrat. The position offers a unique opportunity to help progress the sustainability journey of a truly global games, entertainment, and technology company and position it to be an industry frontrunner on sustainability reporting. Working with a range of stakeholders across the business.

In 2021, Aristocrat committed to setting science-based emissions reduction targets, and these targets were endorsed by the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in 2024. This role will be responsible for collecting, configuring, and validating climate-related data to support our SBTi and mandatory climate reporting commitments. The role will also assist in collecting ESG data from across the company, as we expand audited sustainability reporting beyond climate data. Additionally, you will collaborate with our automation team to identify key areas for automation and support them in their automation strategy. You will excel in data acquisition, analysis, review, and visualization.

What You'll Do

  • Understanding business needs and showing flexibility in answering multiple types of questions with data. Ability to interpret and summarize complex data succinctly into high-level presentations
  • Extensive experience pulling and massaging data from multiple sources and analyzing it with a variety of tools.
  • Extensive experience in writing SQL scripts to validate database systems and for backend database testing.
  • Expertise in writing complex relational database queries and technical analysis
  • Experience with backend database and data migration testing.
  • Excellent understanding of Data Warehousing and ETL testing concepts.
  • Assist in the implementation of QA processes to ensure the correctness of data flowing through each stage

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Information Technology, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in business intelligence or an analyst role
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL, ability to aggregate, gather, and manipulate data. Python/R is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience with Tableau, Power BI or Looker
  • 3-5 years of experience with Google Cloud, Azure, or Snowflake

  • Design, deploy, and maintain GCP cloud environments across development (Dev), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), staging (STG), and production (PRD).
  • Implement and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring consistent infrastructure across all environments.
  • Prepare for and support future multi-cloud adoption (AWS and Azure).

CI/CD Pipeline Automation

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate software delivery for mobile game platforms.
  • Ensure seamless deployments across all environments by managing automated testing, artifact storage, and environment promotion workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD failures quickly to ensure continuous delivery.

Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using Grafana Cloud.
  • Analyze and respond to system performance metrics, ensuring optimal resource utilization and application stability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement preventative measures.

Security & Compliance

  • Enforce access control policies using Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

On-Call Support (1 Week per Month)

Tes connaissances et ton expérience seront essentielles à la conception et au développement de produits logiciels infonuagiques à haut rendement en appliquant des principes d’ingénierie solides, une discipline opérationnelle et une automatisation avancée à la plateforme. La clé du succès du groupe DevOps réside dans l’engagement des équipes, contribuant au développement et à l’exploitation de jeux et de services qui atteignent les objectifs de fiabilité.

Gestion de l’infrastructure

  • Concevoir, déployer et maintenir les environnements infonuagiques GCP tout au long du développement (Dev), des essais d’acceptation par l’utilisateur (EAU), de la préproduction (PPROD) et de la production (PRD).
  • Mettre en œuvre et optimiser l’infrastructure en tant que code (Infrastructure as Code ou IaC) à l’aide de Terraform, en assurant une infrastructure uniforme dans tous les environnements.
  • Préparer et prendre en charge l’adoption future de systèmes infonuagiques multiples (AWS et Azure).

Pipelines et automatisation de l’intégration continue/du développement continu :

  • Créer et entretenir des pipelines d’intégration continue/de développement continu en utilisant GitHub Actions pour automatiser la livraison de logiciels pour les plateformes de jeux mobiles.
  • Assurer des déploiements fluides dans tous les environnements en gérant les processus automatisés d’essai, de stockage des artefacts et de promotion de l’environnement.
  • Dépanner et résoudre rapidement les pannes d’intégration continue/de développement continu afin d’assurer une livraison continue.

Surveillance et intervention en cas d’incident

  • Mettre en œuvre et assurer la maintenance des systèmes de surveillance, d’alerte et de consignation à l’aide de Grafana Cloud.
  • Analyser les indicateurs de performance du système et agir au besoin, afin d’optimiser l’utilisation des ressources et la stabilité des applications.
  • Effectuer une analyse des causes fondamentales pour les incidents et mettre en œuvre des mesures préventives.

Sécurité et conformité

  • Appliquer les politiques de contrôle d’accès au moyen de la gestion des accès privilégiés et du contrôle d’accès basé sur les rôles.
  • Appliquer la gestion régulière des correctifs dans l’ensemble des ressources infonuagiques afin de les harmoniser avec le cadre de sécurité NIST.
  • Veiller au respect des politiques de sécurité interne et des normes réglementaires externes.

Soutien sur appel (1 semaine par mois)

  • Participer à une rotation de soutien sur appel de sept jours une fois par mois pour répondre aux incidents d’infrastructure infonuagique critique.
  • Documenter les incidents majeurs et les transmettre à un niveau supérieur, au besoin, afin de réduire au minimum le temps d’arrêt des applications critiques pour les revenus.
  • Effectuer le dépannage après les heures de travail et appliquer les correctifs d’urgence pendant les interruptions de production.

Collaboration et amélioration des processus

  • Collaborer avec les développeurs de jeux mobiles pour comprendre les besoins en infrastructure et fournir des solutions DevOps personnalisées.
  • Suivre le cadre de travail Kanban pour gérer et hiérarchiser les tâches, en veillant à la clarté des flux de travail et au respect des délais de livraison.
  • Identifier et mettre en œuvre des améliorations de processus pour améliorer l’efficacité opérationnelle et la fiabilité du système

Ce que nous recherchons

  • Expertise des outils Terrafom, Go-Lang, Java ou expérience d’un autre langage de programmation
  • Expérience et connaissance de la conception et de la pratique d’intégration continue/de développement continu
  • Infonuagique public, de préférence GCP, mais AWS et Azure conviennent aussi!
  • Expérience des principes de conception d’architecture infonuagique et de la certification Cloud Architect
  • Expérience de la création solutions d’infrastructure en tant que code à l’aide d’outils tels que : Terraform, Azure ARM Template, Cloudformation - un impératif
  • Expérience des outils et méthodologies d’intégration continue/de développement continu tels que : Jenkins, ArgoCD, CircleCI, etc. - un impératif
  • Mise en œuvre pratique de l’intégration continue/de développement continu dans des environnements complexes.
  • Expérience avérée dans un environnement de production - un impératif
  • Solide expérience de la mise en œuvre de grappes Kubernetes de qualité production avec environnements conteneurisés et microservices (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Expérience de l’utilisation d’outils de gestion de la configuration (Chef, Puppet, Ansible - un atout)
  • Solide compréhension des technologies de mise en réseau axées principalement sur la mise en réseau pour les nuages
  • Expérience des solutions de maillage de services telles que Anthos, Istio, Consul – un atout
  • Expérience des outils de surveillance et d’analyse des registres comme ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, etc. - un atout

Product Madness est à la recherche d’un responsable de l’assurance qualité qui sera responsable de voir à la qualité de ses applications mobiles. Tu travailleras avec les équipes internes et externes mondiales pour soutenir les diffusions régulières de caractéristiques, de contenu et techniques, du concept au lancement, tout en assurant les niveaux de qualité les plus élevés grâce à l’utilisation d’une variété d’outils et de processus.

Ce que tu feras

  • Superviser la création, la maintenance et la mise en œuvre de séries de tests dédiées et de cas de tests associés.
  • Donner l’exemple par des tests pratiques et examiner les rapports d’autres testeurs tout en maintenant un carnet de demandes bien tenu et priorisé en coordination avec le producteur.
  • Tenir l’équipe de projet et les parties prenantes commerciales à jour sur la progression des étapes, les priorités et les obstacles au moyen de rapports d’assurance qualité quotidiens.
  • Veiller à ce que votre projet soit de la meilleure qualité possible, tant en matière de réduction des défauts que de convivialité.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le soutien à la clientèle pour enquêter, documenter et, au besoin, exercer des pressions pour résoudre rapidement les problèmes en direct, en plus de comprendre les lacunes potentielles et de les combler.
  • Appuyer la formation et le mentorat d’un plus grand nombre de membres débutants de l’équipe, y compris ceux basés à l’étranger.
  • En respectant la vision du responsable de l’assurance qualité des applications mobiles, harmoniser les processus d’assurance qualité avec d’autres projets et fournir des commentaires et des suggestions pour les améliorer si nécessaire.
  • Collaborer avec le responsable de l’assurance qualité des applications mobiles et le responsable des tests techniques pour soutenir l’intégration et le passage aux tests automatisés en utilisant cette méthode pour renforcer l’efficacité des tests.
  • Fournir des rapports de lancement, des plans d’essai et divers autres documents aux intervenants clés.
  • Surveiller régulièrement l’état de l’application au moyen d’outils, comme New Relic, signaler les tendances et faire des recherches, le cas échéant.
  • Collaborer avec le responsable des tests techniques pour saisir les données mensuelles des IRC techniques à discuter avec l’équipe de projet.
  • Aider le responsable de l’assurance qualité des applications mobiles à atteindre les objectifs de l’équipe pour l’exercice financier en prenant en charge et en suivant les objectifs de performance clés individuels et les objectifs et résultats clés de l’organisation.
  • Avoir une bonne connaissance du cycle de vie du développement de logiciels et du cycle de vie des mises à l’essai des logiciels.
