Salesforce CPQ Lead
Overview:
Boomi is looking for an analytical, motivated leader to join our team as the Salesforce CPQ Lead. The Salesforce CPQ Lead is a critical member of the Salesforce Operations team reporting to the Director of Salesforce Operations. In this role you will own the Salesforce (Steelbrick) CPQ product. You will bring deep Salesforce administrative knowledge, and work closely with end users across the globe to analyze business requirements, implement solutions and optimize our environment by leveraging CPQ functionality. You will serve as the CPQ subject matter expert for our other CPQ administrators and partner with the Salesforce development team to deliver top-notch functionality in our CPQ instance. The Salesforce CPQ Lead is highly engaged with our sales, operations, renewals, partner and product teams providing front line support and expertise to the user base. As the CPQ leader, you will work to understand and resolve user issues, create and configure products, manage Conga, troubleshoot quotes and contracts, manage large scale CPQ projects, and provide best practice guidance and streamlined processes for our Salesforce users.
Position located in India, and must be available to work during Eastern Standard Time hours.
Responsibilities include:
- Expertly guide the CPQ team in managing and solving CPQ Cases from Boomi’s global user base
- Identify business requirements and translate them into CPQ solutions, leveraging best practices and minimizing the need for custom development
- Introduce automation to alleviate manual processes
- Work with the product team to determine the best way to create new product SKUs utilizing configurations, features, product rules, pricing rules, discounting, groupings and approvals, then set up those products for our multi-currency organization
- Scope and document CPQ functional and technical requirements for Salesforce developers
- Analyze CPQ cases, user feedback, and current implementation, and then identify areas for system and process improvements
- Own and manage Boomi’s Conga implementation, including creating templates and implementing Conga Orchestrate
- Create user documentation and provide training
- Work quickly and efficiently to solve time-sensitive problems, especially at month end
Essential Requirements:
- 8+ years of Salesforce administration experience with at least 5+ years of CPQ experience in products, pricing, quotes, amendments, subscriptions, contracts and renewals
- Advanced knowledge of CPQ features/objects/definitions including price rules, product rules, summary variables, QLE configuration, discount matrix, tiered discounting, approvals, etc.
- MDQ Products experience
- Demonstrated experience leading technical projects through requirement gathering, solution design, implementation and support
- An in-depth understanding of the capabilities and constraints of CPQ & Salesforce architecture coupled with a good understanding around sales processes
- Conga experience
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Certified Salesforce Administrator
- Certified CPQ Specialist
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or a similar discipline
- Proven track record of implementing and improving CPQ usage at a SaaS company
Desired Requirements:
- Knowledge and experience with a SaaS company and understanding the complexities of ARR, renewals, and amendments
- A passion for building scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform
- A proven ability to translate ambiguous business and product requests into requirements
