Senior Director, Strategy and Corporate Development
How You’ll Make An Impact
Leads the ongoing corporate development and strategy efforts enterprise-wide and assists in setting the company's strategic vision and execution, with a specific focus on M&A. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing strategic business objectives. Drives critical strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability objectives. Evaluate and manage new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures. Responsible for overseeing the analysis of trends and developments in technology and formulating strategic courses of action to maximize Boomi’s leverage within the market.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Orientation: Needs to be able to work with leadership across the company to build a company-wide strategy. Must have the capability to develop a plan that incorporates the company's long-term goals and can also evangelize the risk/ reward tradeoffs. Will need to drive a growth strategy in markets that have already changed considerably and are likely to evolve even more rapidly. They will, therefore, need to demonstrate the ability to create a compelling strategy and narrative, drawing on insights from multiple industries and situations, link it to actionable initiatives, and deliver against it.
- Collaboration and Influencing: Boomi is transforming into an Integration and Automation platform of choice for upper-mid and large enterprise customers where our need and opportunity is most significant. To help facilitate this change, the company has been making strategic organizational changes to inject a culture that is even more fast-moving, exciting and client-focused. Candidates should be recognized as a natural partner to other leaders across the organization, influential among external constituents, and able to identify, negotiate and maintain long-term, productive partnerships. The support and involvement of key internal constituencies will also be critical to success in the role. Boomi is a global company where M&A activities must be aligned with the organization’s overall strategic goals, priorities and practices.
- Lead the strategic integration planning, due diligence, and execution phases of M&A transactions to ensure alignment with deal rationale and achievement of long-term business objectives. Beyond the initial deal, integration of the acquired company for quick time to value will be essential criteria of success for this role. Towards this goal, continually refining best practices for integration to deliver acquisition business cases will be paramount.
- Oversees financial analyses, long-range forecasting and analysis studies associated with potential business opportunities.
- Spot and creatively solve complex, cross-functional operational issues, often unique to each deal.
- Review results of environmental scans, organizational positioning analyses and other studies.
- Identifies, investigates, evaluates, and negotiates acquisitions/divestitures, licensing opportunities and strategic business alliances that align with the organization's long-range goals.
- Develops and delivers thoughtful, compelling internal and external communications that articulate the company's s and the Corporate Strategy Team’s value proposition.
The Experience You Bring
- Expert Qualitative and Quantitative Analytical ability.
- Excellent innovative and structured thinking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extensive experience leading M&A opportunity identification, deal structure and integration in Enterprise Software, preferably in Middleware market (minimum 10 M&A transactions)
- Typically, 18+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Typically requires 10+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience)

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position in our corporate headquarters in Chesterbrook, PA begins at $207,612. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
