Job Description
Sr. Director Product Management – IV Compounding
The Senior Director of Product Management role will report to the Vice President of Centralized Medication Management and will drive forward the product management of the IV Compounding portfolio which is a combination of robotics and cloud-based software.
This role will lead a team of product management professionals to drive the strategy and execution of the product roadmap. This is a position that requires an individual with extremely strong product management leadership experience, the ability to unify a cross-functional team behind a common vision, proven ability to communicate to company leadership, and a background in product management for portfolios consisting of both devices with integrated hardware / software and SaaS products. Regulated medical devices expertise is preferred, but not required. The position is a US-based, remote position.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategy, definition and execution of a new integrated hardware / software product
- Will work closely with project and program management to ensure timely execution against the project plan to ensure the product meets release deadlines.
- Manages a team of managers and individual contributors.
- Will lead the strategy and overall definition of a prioritized roadmap based on delivering a deeply compelling, outcome driven offering
- Responsible for executive-level presentations to Sr leadership describing the product vision, strategy, and associated client needs
- Effectively identify and manage cross-team dependencies.
- Build effective relationships at that matter at leadership levels of the organization with engineering, design, QA, Omnicell Internal Domain Experts, Sales, Implementation, Supply Chain, and many others.
- Requires the ability to communicate a high-level client value-based vision for the product, as well as to get down to the next few levels of detail and how we will accomplish the execution of that vision.
- Develop relationships with customers and prospects, gather and understand customer feedback on existing products and products in development and conduct effective interviews to better understand the context, pressures, complete understanding of the problems they need to solve to deliver the right solution.

Required Knowledge and Skills

- Product management experience delivering software using agile methodologies; ability to leader and drive an agile approach, ideally with edge devices
- Experience building strong relationships with leaders across engineering, other product management functions, design, sales, operations, and clients
- Effective leadership skills and ability to listen, communicate, mentor and motivate teams
- Ability to ideate solutions to complex business problems
- Ability to translate strategies into clear and measurable milestones and objectives that lead to timely delivery of integrated solutions
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years of product management experience in integrated hardware and software solutions
- 5 years of product management leadership experience. Experience must include direct people management
- Effective leadership skills and ability to listen, communicate and motivate teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or master’s level degree preferred.
- Experience managing regulated medical devices.
- Experience managing robotics-based solutions.
- Experience developing SaaS products in combination with edge devices.
- Pragmatic Marketing (or similar) certification
- Deep Product management experience focused on integrated technology products
- Experience in the healthcare field
Travel Requirements:
- This position is 100% remote enabled from any US location
- This position requires up to 30% US based travel
