What You’ll Do
- Ensures delivery of data-related features, stories, and enhancements as per the agreed timeline and quality standards, as recognized by the product manager.
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of how insurance carriers and MGAs use data, analytics, and AI-driven insights.
- Produces well-defined product requirements with measurable success criteria, focusing on data models, integrations, and analytics capabilities.
- Research and define data product requirements for analytics and AI solutions built from insurance policy and transaction data.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends in data-driven insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and developers to define and refine data pipelines, APIs, and analytics features.
- Translate complex data insights into user-friendly product features and interfaces.
- Assist in formulating and executing the data product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Define user stories and acceptance criteria for data-driven features, ensuring clear alignment with carrier and MGA use cases.
- Prioritize the data product backlog, balancing customer needs, regulatory compliance, and technical feasibility.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re looking for someone who:
Can work remotely or from an office.
Your experience should include some or all of the following:
- 2+ years product management, data analytics or engineering, or 4+ years transferrable experience (non-PM/Eng) with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Solid understanding of product management principles, with a focus on data and analytics.
- Ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights and product enhancements.
- Experience with writing user stories and defining requirements for data and APIs.
- Experience with SQL, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker), and data pipeline concepts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in storytelling and articulating data value.
- Bachelor’s degree in the areas of Data Analytics, Information Science, Computer Science, or related disciplines

- Understanding of insurance data (policy, claims, underwriting)
- Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Science teams to build AI-driven products.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and product management tools such as JIRA
