Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Product and Engineering to lead our tech services team. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, product development acumen, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software and product engineering, the ability to manage and lead a team of 20 developers, and a track record of delivering high-quality tech solutions. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our company and drive innovation in our product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 20 software engineers, PHP developers, and .NET Developers to develop, implement, and maintain our tech services.
- Work closely with the product team to define product strategy, roadmap, and timelines.
- Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Oversee all aspects of product engineering, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Use Agile methodologies to manage projects and ensure timely delivery.
- Utilize tools like JIRA to track and manage projects effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment between business needs and tech solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our tech services remain competitive.
- Drive the technical vision and strategy for the company, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
- Implement best practices for software development and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in product or software engineering.
- Proven experience leading a team of software engineers and developers.
- Extensive experience with PHP, .NET, and other relevant programming languages.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience using project management tools like JIRA.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong technical acumen and ability to understand complex technical concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality tech solutions on time and within budget.
