Full Stack Developer

New York
Engineering, Information Technology

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Ship entire services from end to end: route handlers, provisioning on our edge infrastructure (compute, storage, SQL, vector, KV, streaming), dashboard pages, SDK namespace, docs
  • Build the AI orchestration layer: an MCP server and agent tooling that can provision and wire Harakumo services from natural language
  • Own reliability: tests against the live platform, migrations on edge SQLite, observability, and incident response
  • Talk to developers, write docs and examples, and turn feedback into product

What you bring

  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript and real production experience with Next.js (App Router) and serverless or edge runtimes
  • Comfort with SQL and data modeling; bonus for SQLite, Postgres, or vector databases
  • Experience integrating third-party platforms (payments, cloud APIs) and designing clean public APIs/SDKs
  • A bias for shipping: you have launched things, and you can show them
  • Bonus: MCP/agent tooling, developer-tools or infra background, open-source contributions

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and early-team equity (discussed in the first conversation)
  • Remote-first, async-friendly; quarterly in-person in NYC
  • Direct ownership — you will be the architect of several services, not a ticket-taker

How we hire

  • Apply on this site. Every application goes through the form on the role’s page. Email and LinkedIn messages are not reviewed.
  • Show, don’t tell. Sign up at harakumo.com, build something small with the SDK or CLI, and link it. We read code before résumés.
  • One conversation. 45 minutes with the founder about what you built and what you would build here.
  • A paid project, if useful. Optional: a scoped, paid one-week project on a real service. Then an offer.

The same steps, for every role, are on the careers page.
