Job Summary
Interns gain experience in a specific field through guidance from coaches, mentors, sponsors, and their immediate supervisor, completing previously assigned daily tasks related to specific goals, attending meetings, and development opportunities. All interns complete a project related to their job responsibilities and career interests and present this live at the internship's completion.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Assist with analyzing current project management processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Data Analysis: Collection and analysis of project data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
- Project Scheduling: Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, ensuring that timelines are realistic and resources are allocated effectively.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in projects and assist with developing mitigation strategies.
- Resource Allocation: Work on optimizing resource allocation across various projects to ensure maximum utilization and efficiency.
- Documentation and Reporting: Assist with preparing project documentation and reports, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed of progress and issues.
- Quality Assurance: Assist with quality assurance activities to ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards.
- Benchmarking: Benchmarking project performance against industry standards and best practices.
- General Support: Support the PMO team with any administrative duties as needed.
Job Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
- Ability to quickly learn new applications and software
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
Education And Experience
- Pursuing a degree in a related field to internship
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to verbally communicate and exchange information
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
