Job Description
The Red Gate Group is looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer with a passion for building intelligent, AI-enabled web applications that make a real impact. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of full stack development and artificial intelligence, contributing to cutting-edge solutions in support of mission-driven work.
As part of a collaborative, agile team, you'll help design and deliver modern, user-friendly applications that integrate machine learning models into scalable, secure production environments. This hybrid role is ideal for developers who are hands-on, eager to learn, and comfortable working across the tech stack—from responsive front-end UIs to robust back-end services and data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain full stack web applications with embedded AI/ML functionality
- Design RESTful APIs and backend services to support AI inference and data flows
- Develop dynamic, responsive UIs using modern frameworks like React or Vue.js
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deploy models using containers, microservices, and orchestration tools
- Apply DevSecOps principles to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable development workflows
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and E2E tests to ensure code quality
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in backend development with Python, Node.js, or Java, using frameworks like Flask, Express, or Spring Boot
- Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern libraries (e.g., React)
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models with tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases and managing data integration workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to secure or regulated environments (e.g., DoD, FedRAMP, HIPAA)
- Awareness of ethical AI, data privacy, and model explainability
- Agile development experience using tools like Jira, GitLab, or GitHub Actions
