About Paradigm

Paradigm is a mission-driven startup building a next-generation, AI-native case management system for criminal prosecutors. Our goal is to enhance prosecutorial effectiveness, promote fairness, and strengthen public safety by leveraging technology to improve case workflows and human decision-making.

We are a tech-first company that combines AI, data engineering, and full-stack web development with a deep understanding of the real-world challenges of criminal justice and public safety. Our founding team includes experts in legal technology, prosecution, and justice system transformation.

With funding and pilot jurisdictions secured, we are building out our engineering team to shape a scalable, secure, and ethical platform that drives meaningful impact in the criminal justice system. Our team will develop the platform alongside real-world users to ensure it meets the practical, everyday needs of prosecutors.

About the Role

Paradigm is hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to help build our core product and grow with our engineering team. You’ll be working across the stack, contributing to our FastAPI backend and Next.js frontend. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your skills and branch into areas like infrastructure, AI, data pipelines, or DevOps. We want to work with you and help you grow in the areas that excite you most as we build this application from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Product Development: Build, test, and improve our web application using FastAPI and Next.js with TypeScript.
  • Collaboration: Work with product designers, data engineers, legal experts, and AI/infrastructure specialists to shape features that meet real user needs.
  • Growth: As we scale, carve out a specialization that matches your tech passion, whether that’s product development, UX/UI, DevSecOps, or AI.

Who You Are

We are looking for a thoughtful engineer who wants to build things that matter and is excited to grow with an ambitious, collaborative team.

Important Note: We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every listed qualification. That said, we do highly value at least 2 years of real-world experience with both Python backend development and Next.js. If you bring deeper experience and would be a better fit for a slightly more senior role, we’d love to hear from you too.

Eligibility: For compliance, this role is currently limited to U.S. citizens who are currently residing in the United States.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development, including at least 2 years of on-the-job experience with both Python and Next.js.
  • Experience building and using REST APIs with authentication (OAuth or JWT)
  • Exposure to containerized development (Docker), GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in async or remote environments
  • Willingness to learn new tools, contribute to team culture, and take ownership of your work

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)

If you’ve worked with any of these before, that’s great, but if not, we’ll help you learn:

  • UI frameworks (Tailwind/Shadcn)
  • AWS services (like S3, ECS, RDS, Lambda) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
  • Security best practices in cloud environments or compliance-heavy industries
  • Applied LLMs or other AI systems in an industry or research setting
  • Familiarity with criminal justice systems, government software, or legal tech

Compensation & Benefits

At Paradigm we have built the kind of company we all always wanted to work for.  As an early hire, in addition to annual salary, you will have an equity stake in the company that offers tremendous upside.  Paradigm offers unlimited PTO and strongly values work/life balance.

  • Salary: $105k-$135k, commensurate with years of experience.
  • Equity: Company stock options, commensurate with experience and salary
  • Retirement: 401(k) plan with employer contribution
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Unlimited Sick Leave/Paid Time Off (PTO)

Zenith Health is building the Pregnancy Evidence Project: the country’s largest and most representative base of evidence for maternal and infant health, to empower pregnant women to have healthier, safer, and better informed pregnancies.

About the company

At Zenith Health, we’re building the platform to transform real pregnancy experiences into evidence - establishing a foundation for data-driven decisions, improved care, and better outcomes.

There are massive amounts of data points being generated in the real world every day, across the millions of pregnancies happening each year — ranging from medication usage and safety to symptoms and health complications — and we believe these hold the key to advancing maternal and infant health outcomes. In building the Pregnancy Evidence Project, our aim is to close these data gaps, ensuring that pregnant women have access to the data and evidence they need for informed and confident pregnancies.

We’re passionate about ensuring that every pregnancy question can have an answer backed by real evidence, not guesswork (read more on our vision!), and we are backed by Shaper Capital on our ambitious mission.

By joining Zenith, you’ll be part of a collaborative, passionate team of people who are smart, nice, and can get things done. If you’re driven by a desire to make a tangible impact in women's health -- directly to patients and medical research alike -- and are excited to be part of a high-growth startup, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

As an early member of our team, you’ll play a key role in building and shaping our platform. You’ll interact directly with users, understand and be excited by our long term vision, and build a world-class product that helps to empower women with better resources and access to critical data during pregnancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain a robust, secure, and scalable event-driven, cloud-based platform comprised of a variety of front and backend integrations and services
  • Collaborate with our team to define technical requirements, set priorities, and drive the adoption of best practices in code quality and documentation
  • Understand and champion the needs of our users, advocating for best-in-class UX/UI, accessibility, privacy, and security throughout the product development process

About You

  • You bring 3-5+ years of experience building, maintaining, and supporting customer-facing full-stack web applications using cloud-native and DevOps best practices
  • You thrive in an early-stage startup environment: you’re excited to speak directly with users and customers, you’re ready for high degrees of ambiguity and a fast-paced environment, and are able to pivot quickly to take advantage of new opportunities
  • You have strong judgment, are highly proactive, and are excited to operate with more responsibility and fewer rules – no job is too big or too small
  • You are eager to actively contribute to building and growing a world-class engineering team and culture, and shaping Zenith’s success

Preferred experience

  • Prior startup experience, especially in a remote and/or seed-stage environment
  • Experience with server-side web frameworks such as Elixir Phoenix or Python Django/Flask
  • Experience with functional programming paradigms and languages such as Elixir, Python, or Clojure
  • Experience building domain-specific AI applications, based on the latest LLMs and RAG techniques
  • Experience with a variety of database technologies, including relational and NoSQL
  • Prior experience with healthcare technology, healthcare privacy regulations, and/or healthcare data frameworks like FHIR and/or HL7 is a bonus, but not required

  • Advanced programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience building globally distributed data systems and real-time pipelines.

  • Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and cloud computing (Databricks and AWS preferred).
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing architectural direction.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with unstructured or ambiguous datasets.
  • Commitment to data quality, testing, and observability.
  • Experience with both OLTP and OLAP data processing systems

Nice to have additional skills

  • Experience with energy market data or weather data sources (e.g., NWS, NOAA, Yes Energy).
  • Experience using dbt for transformations and data quality checks.
  • Collaborating with data science teams to build and productionize ML pipelines.
  • Familiarity with DataOps practices and CI/CD for data workflows.
  • Knowledge of real-time data technologies, graph databases, or unstructured data processing.
  • Understanding of power systems, grid operations, or financial aspects of energy trading.

Employee benefits include:

WHO WE ARE:

ActBlue is a nonprofit that builds tech and infrastructure for Democratic campaigns, progressive-aligned causes, and people trying to make an impact in order to fuel long-term, people-powered change. If you’ve ever given online to a Democrat or progressive organization, chances are you’ve used our powerful online fundraising platform.

We put power in the hands of small-dollar donors and help thousands of groups — from presidential candidates to environmental organizations — build grassroots movements. We envision a democracy where everyone looking to make progressive people-powered change can easily and effectively deploy their resources, energy, and creativity to shape our country and future. Each and every one of us, from the political activists to the tech innovators to the customer service pros, is fully committed to our mission.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will be a key contributor on a newly formed team focused on building innovative fundraising tools. Working full-stack with React, TypeScript, and Ruby on Rails, you’ll develop scalable, user-centric solutions that enhance donor engagement and streamline contributions. Your work will directly impact thousands of users, helping to shape the future of digital fundraising and empower fundraisers to drive meaningful change.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Guide and spearhead projects while collaborating with software engineers, product, and design to develop new features that provide actionable data to fundraising staff of political campaigns, progressive nonprofits, and more.

  • Architect, refactor, and improve our core systems using well-accepted design patterns in order to facilitate the delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable features.
  • Guide the design and execution of technical solutions, prioritizing high-impact opportunities while balancing effort, scope, and other trade-offs.
  • Advise and design data structures and APIs to support new features and refactors.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership through writing documentation, establishing effective monitoring, and fostering clear and audience-oriented communication.
  • Improve platform performance and maintainability through quality code, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Ensure product and feature quality through thorough PR reviews and QA testing.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture aligned with our values.
  • Receive support from your manager to grow as an individual and increase your impact on the success of your team and the progressive movement.

WHAT YOU BRING:

Here is a non-exhaustive list of things we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years, or equivalent, of professional experience working with teams and delivering projects.
  • Experience leading the execution of large projects involving multiple engineers, and complex and ambiguous requirements.
  • Experience in Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL as well as significant experience developing and maintaining server-side web applications.
  • Ability to optimize database queries for improved performance and efficiency.
  • Track record of collaborating effectively with fellow engineers to develop abstractions and patterns that make it easy to build reliable software.
  • Eagerness to explore, refactor, and optimize legacy code.
  • Team-oriented mindset, receptive to feedback, and skilled in constructive idea exchange. You keep the end user in mind and enjoy hearing feedback from your teammates.
  • Comfortable working with a distributed team of remote colleagues.
  • An inclusive, generous working style: You like to mentor, collaborate, and elevate your team by supporting your peers.
  • Passion for personal and team growth.

OUR ENGINEERING VALUES:

Your Role in Our Journey

Wine Enthusiast Companies, the leading full-service provider of innovative products for the wine lifestyle, is creating a new position for an Industrial Product Designer to help shape the visual identity of our expanding Wine Enthusiast branded line of wine storage and accessories.

You’re a designer who understands that great products aren’t just beautiful—they tell a story, solve problems, and elevate everyday experiences. You think across systems and categories, and you know how to bring concepts to life with precision and purpose. You're excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of a legacy brand through thoughtful, elevated design.

At Wine Enthusiast, we’ve spent over 40 years building a portfolio of wine lifestyle products—from cellars and racking systems to bar furniture, glassware, and accessories. We’re now investing in the next chapter of our in-house branded line, and we’re hiring an Industrial Product Designer to help create a cohesive visual identity across it all.

This is a new role and our first dedicated in-house industrial designer—you’ll serve as the primary design lead for our branded products, with the support of outside design partners as needed. You’ll have real ownership of the creative and technical process, from concept through production, and play a key role in setting the tone for how our products look, feel, and function.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Be Uncorking

  • Own the full industrial design process—from initial concept and prototyping to final factory approval and in-market launch
  • Design and develop original products for Wine Enthusiast’s branded line, including:
  • Wine refrigerators and wine storage units
  • Wine accessories (glassware, corkscrews, wine bags, etc.)
  • Custom and modular racking systems
  • Wine and bar furniture
  • Create a consistent and recognizable design language across product categories
  • Produce concept sketches, CAD renderings, technical specs, and factory-ready files
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Creative, and Marketing teams from ideation to launch
  • Work directly with our manufacturers to review samples, troubleshoot development challenges, and ensure final products meet design intent
  • Participate in calls and reviews across global time zones, including occasional early morning or late evening meetings
  • Travel as needed for factory development, sampling reviews, and product onboarding
  • Contribute to packaging and brand presentation to ensure products resonate across digital and retail touchpoints
  • Stay informed on industry trends, materials, and finishes to support innovation and commercial viability

This role reports to: Vice President of Product

Qualifications

The Perfect Blend (What You Bring to the Table)

  • Industrial Design Expertise: 5–10 years of experience in product or industrial design within consumer goods, home, or lifestyle categories
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in SolidWorks, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools such as KeyShot
  • Brand Thinking: Ability to build and apply a brand-aligned visual design language
  • DFM/DFA Expertise: Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles, with the ability to adapt concepts to real-world production constraints
  • Collaborative Spirit: Strong communicator who works well cross-functionally and with international manufacturing partners
  • Executional Rigor: Experienced in managing the full design process from concept to production
  • Trend Awareness: Keen understanding of design trends, user needs, and commercial dynamics
  • Global Collaboration: Experience working directly with international factories, managing development and communication across time zones, including flexibility for late-night or early-morning calls when necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with international vendors and sourcing partners
  • Background in refrigeration or electronics manufacturing
  • Experience with physical prototyping tools and mockups (e.g., 3D printing)
  • A love of wine and the lifestyle around it
