Job Description
The Director of Market Planning will manage a team focused on market research, modeling, and competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions across product portfolio and market strategy. This role combines thorough research methodologies with sophisticated analytics to deliver actionable insights on market size, growth trajectories, customer segmentation, and competitive positioning.
What You'll Do
Market Research & Insights
- Build and complete primary and secondary research initiatives to understand market dynamics, customer behaviors, and emerging trends.
- Analyze and synthesize data from 3rd-party research reports, industry publications, and direct engagements with research partners.
- Develop market entry assessments and opportunity sizing for new jurisdictions and gaming segments.
- Maintain a knowledge repository of market intelligence for internal partners.
Market Modeling & Forecasting
- Build and maintain detailed TAM/SAM/SOM models across jurisdictions, segments, and gaming classes (Class II, Class III, VLT, Routes).
- Forecast casino openings and expansions, including impact on slot supply and replacement cycles over 3–5 years.
- Update models quarterly for an 18-month to 5-year horizon.
Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor competitor portfolios, roadmaps, install trends, and unit performance using 3rd-party data, public disclosures, and customer insights.
- Forecast competitor hardware and game launches, translating into expected share shifts.
- Deliver quarterly SWOT analyses on competitor content, hardware, and portfolio positioning.
- Serve as the single source of truth for competitive positioning, share, and forward projections.
Regulatory & Legislative Awareness
- Partner with Government Relations to assess the impact of legislation and regulatory changes on market opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in market strategy, analytics, or product planning within gaming or adjacent industries.
- Proven track record to build sophisticated market models and forecasts.
- Strong understanding of gaming segments, casino operations, and regulatory environments.
- Outstanding analytical, communication, and collaborator management skills.

Pay Range
$193,058 - $358,537 per year
Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
