We are on the lookout for a Working Student, Hero Support to join the Hero Support (People Operations) Team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

You have a passion for administrative People and Organization work and would like to gain practical experience in People Operations? Then join our team as a Working Student - People Operations (Hero Support) in Berlin.

You will gain insight into all operative, administrative activities of people management and get to know and support the entire employee lifecycle. You will also work in a global environment and learn more about German labor law.

  • You deliver and execute common and transaction-based services for the People Operations team, e.g. creation of employment confirmation letters, reference letters, vacation letters
  • You are responsible for maintaining and reviewing tasks for our employees in our HRIS system (Workday)
  • You coordinate and perform regular employee data checks to ensure compliance and pre-payroll data readiness (e.g., maternity and parental leave, new hire data)
  • You will play a key role onsite at our Berlin office in maintaining our team’s document storage room, as well as incoming and outgoing documentation (e.g. scanning and filling documents and post mail) as well as assist our team member with everyday or special ad-hoc tasks
  • You review and update our internal and external knowledge bases in alignment with the Hero Support team as well as contribute to the continuous enhancement of operational efficiency.
  • You will support with organizing team events, initiatives, workshops and gain exposure to other People teams’ work  (e.g. Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Employment Law)

Qualifications

  • You are currently a Bachelor/Master student in Business administration/HR/similar
  • You are quality-driven, a fast learner with superior attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to work independently, swiftly, and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • You are characterized by discretion, team spirit, and flexibility, and you embody the “Employees are our Customers” mission in your daily work.
  • You are interested in learning more about German labour law
  • You have C1 English and B2 German level written and spoken and ideally bring an additional language as a plus
  • Nice to have: You bring a high level of technical curiosity and system orientation (our tools include Jira ticketing, Confluence knowledge base, Workday HRIS)
