Join our dynamic and innovative team at Aristocrat as a Lead Developer, where you'll have the chance to create a significant impact! As part of our Montreal office, you'll lead an ambitious and hardworking group of engineers developing an exciting new mobile game. This role offers an outstanding blend of hands-on development and leadership responsibilities, allowing you to build the future of our core systems and features. What You'll Do
- Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code
- Provide technical analysis and documentation for new systems
- Mentor and guide game developers, offering technical direction and career development support
- Coordinate and negotiate with external team members across engineering, production, build, art, and QA
- Support sprint planning, technical prioritization, and roadmap execution
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to standard practices
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the development cycle
- Champion quality, scalability, and performance across all systems
- Partner with production to coordinate and deliver engineering deliverables on schedule
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in software development
- 2+ years in a leadership or management role
- B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science
- Experience with microservice architecture
- Proficiency in building CI/CD tools
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
- Dedication to streamlining development efforts and reducing Time to Market
- Ability to foster a positive and collaborative team culture
- Adaptability to respond quickly to changes in project scope, requirements, or market conditions
