Job Description
The Salesforce Technical Team Lead is responsible for leading the technical development team in designing, developing, and delivering Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives. This role involves technical leadership, architecture design, mentoring team members, managing project deliveries, code quality governance, and ensuring smooth integration with other systems.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers and technical resources (typically 2-5 direct reports).
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Salesforce technical solutions.
- Architect, design, and lead all aspects of development of custom applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs. Collaborate with other Architects and work together towards technical strategy for ATI.
- Manage end-to-end Salesforce project lifecycle including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Oversee code reviews, enforce coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with business collaborators, project managers, and other IT teams to define project scope and timelines.
- Facilitate standard methodologies and ensure compliance with Salesforce governor limits.
- Develop and maintain user documentation: design specs, integration diagrams, deployment guides.
- Stay ahead of Salesforce platform updates, new features, and recommend adoption strategies.
- Manage risks, technical dependencies, and provide timely status updates.
- Support integration with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
- Participate in release management and DevOps practices.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, IT, or related fields.
Minimum of 7+ years in Salesforce development with 2+ years in technical leadership.
Strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce APIs.
Experience in Salesforce architecture, integration patterns, and data modeling.
Proven team leadership and mentoring skills.
Salesforce certifications preferred (Platform Developer I/II, Certified Technical Architect).
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with complex Salesforce implementations in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Salesforce DX tooling.
Exposure to ETL tools, data migration, and governance practices.
Ability to work in onshore-offshore team models.
Strong understanding of OAuth, SAML, and Salesforce security features.
Willingness to work varied hours, supporting Australian and United States business hours when needed.
