We are on the lookout for aSenior Accounting & Reporting Specialist to join the Central Accounting Team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences. Ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and consistency of Delivery Hero’s financial statements and accounting records.
This role covers practical areas such as fair value and amortized cost accounting for financial instruments, provisions, IFRS 16 lease accounting, intercompany recharges, and accounting analysis of M&A contracts and related agreements, including hands-on involvement in group-internal mergers and system migrations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the company and its German subholdings in accordance with HGB.
- Compile IFRS reporting packages for group consolidation and collaborate closely with the Group Accounting team.
- Manage and execute month-end close activities, including accruals, provisions, and account reconciliations.
- Perform GL account analysis and reviews across balance sheet and P&L items, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Coordinate and support external audits, serving as a key contact for auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert in SAP S/4HANA for GL-related topics and drive continuous improvements and automation in accounting processes.
Qualifications
--------------
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, with at least 6 years of hands-on experience in general ledger accounting. Experience within the headquarters of an international group and/or a listed parent company is required.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge under HGB and a solid understanding of IFRS, including practical experience in preparing statutory financial statements under HGB and group reporting packages under IFRS.
- Sound understanding of period-end closing processes (period open/close, dunning run, FX revaluation, clearing of payment items, etc.).
- Solid experience with SAP R/3 or S/4HANA; experience with OneStream for reporting and consolidation is an advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail – you Dive Deep to understand the numbers.
- Proactive, reliable, and hands-on – you take Ownership and are not afraid to get involved in day-to-day operational accounting.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
