What You'll Do
- Drive alignment on metric and benchmark definitions to ensure consistency across dashboards and analytical products.
- Compose and build data products that meet enterprise scalability, usability, and governance standards.
- Develop and maintain semantic-layer data models, summary tables, and reusable datasets for dashboards, reporting, and advanced analytics.
- Integrate and manage internal & external data sources, including market, customer, content, operational, and financial data.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Data Architecture teams to establish scalable, high-quality data foundations.
- Conduct descriptive, diagnostic, and exploratory analyses to uncover trends, performance drivers, and root causes.
- Support advanced analytics initiatives such as variance modeling, outlier detection, text analytics, forecasting, and predictive modeling.
- Translate complex analytical insights into clear narratives, visualizations, and business recommendations.
- Validate data accuracy and completeness across pipelines, ETL processes, and analytical layers.
- Write and complete complex SQL queries to test data transformations, metric logic, and model inputs.
- Coordinate with Project Managers and technical teams to plan and complete data development efforts, ensuring successful delivery of data products.
- Manage timelines, dependencies, and achievements for data releases and analytics features.
What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years as a data analyst in a data-rich environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data validation, and backend testing.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Azure, or Snowflake.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, QA testing, and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven success in collaborating across multiple teams and projects.
Preferred:
- Experience with visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Programming experience with Python or R for statistical or machine learning applications.
- Familiarity with text analytics, clustering, forecasting, or predictive modeling.
- Knowledge of data catalog tools (e.g., Alation), Fabric, Dataflow, or feature stores.
- Experience in building enterprise metrics catalogs or semantic layers.
