We are on the lookout for a (Senior) Director, Central Controlling (all genders) to join the Central Controlling team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences by providing critical information that supports the headquarter functions’ financial decision-making, enhances transparency in actuals reporting, and improves accuracy in planning activities, including forecasting and budgeting.
Your mission:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and cost monitoring processes for the Company’s Central organization for commercial, marketing, product & tech and corporate functions
- Form meaningful partnerships by collaborating closely with C-Level executives, department heads and cost center owners to align financial plans with operational goals
- Act as the strategic partner providing actionable insights to management, focusing on financial performance with oversight over P&L, Balance Sheet, Free Cash Flows and KPIs
- Deep dive and disseminate complex financial information to share with the CFO, VP Finance Insights and other C-level management through multiple touch points including Monthly Performance Reviews or ad hoc requests
- Define the Controlling function of the future built on innovation, challenging the status quo and secure efficiencies by promoting the adoption of new tools, automating processes and exploring opportunities to leverage AI
- Provide a bridge connecting financial data with operational realities of the business, ensuring that financial insights inform operational decisions
- Ensure financial process excellence and compliance as it relates to the timeliness and accuracy of month end closing and planning processes; as well as liaising with external auditors during quarterly and annual audits
- Closely collaborate with Finance Insights, Group Accounting, and Tax teams to ensure holistic financial oversight, adherence to IFRS and Management Reporting guidelines and integration of critical processes across Global Finance teams
- Verification and validation of IFRS balance sheet recognition of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting of Intangible Asset capitalization, accruals, deferrals, pension provisions and goodwill, in collaboration with Group Accounting
- Mentor and develop a team of financial professionals, empowering them to deliver high quality analysis
Your heroic skills:
- 12-15 years of progressive experience across FP&A, Controlling, or Financial Reporting teams
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or any related fields
- Proven ability to develop and execute a team strategy as well as develop/coach talents
- Demonstrated excellence in financial analysis and financial model building. Hands-on with ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
- Strong faculty to build relationships and communicate with peers, subordinates, executive management & other critical stakeholders.
- P&L, Balance Sheet and Free Cash Flow management and/or analysis experience
- Aptitude to motivate teams in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment with competing deadlines
- Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to work with a high degree of autonomy
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
Nice to have:
- MBA or professional designation CPA, CA, ACCA preferred
- Experience in the Big4
- Experience in a technology company or high-tech environment
- Experience with reporting and consolidation tools (e.g. Onestream, LucaNet)
- Experience with planning tools (e.g. Anaplan)
