Senior Power BI Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power BI Developer to join our dynamic Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI development, including Row-Level Security (RLS), CI/CD pipelines, and integrating with Azure Analysis Services (AAS) and Tabular models. A solid understanding of Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousing platforms would be highly advantageous. The role will involve designing, developing, and deploying complex BI solutions while ensuring the scalability and security of data models.

· Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models that meet business requirements.

· Row-Level Security (RLS): Implement and manage RLS strategies to ensure data is accessed by authorized users only.

· CI/CD Pipelines: Build, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Power BI solutions, ensuring smooth version control, testing, and deployment processes.

· Azure Analysis Services (AAS): Leverage AAS and Tabular models for the creation of scalable, performant BI solutions.

· Data Modeling: Develop and maintain complex data models (both in Power BI and AAS Tabular models), ensuring efficiency and data integrity.

· Snowflake Integration: Work with Snowflake or similar data warehouse platforms to create efficient data pipelines and integrations.

· Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (data engineers, data architects, and business stakeholders) to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.

· Performance Tuning: Optimize data models and queries to enhance the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards.

· Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, reports, dashboards, and deployment processes.

· Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to other Power BI developers and assist in building a high-performance BI team.

Technical Skills:

· Power BI Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including advanced features like RLS, DAX, and Power Query.

· Row-Level Security (RLS): In-depth understanding of RLS implementation to ensure data security across different user groups.

· CI/CD Pipelines: Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines for BI reporting solutions.

· Azure Analysis Services (AAS): Strong experience with AAS, including working with Tabular models for complex BI solutions.

· Snowflake (Nice to Have): Exposure to Snowflake data warehousing platform, understanding of how to connect and integrate Snowflake with Power BI.

· SQL Skills: Proficient in writing optimized SQL queries for data extraction and transformation.

· Data Modeling: Experience in building complex data models using Power BI, AAS, and/or other tools.

Soft Skills:

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical collaborators.

· Ability to work in an agile environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

· A proactive approach to learning new technologies and continuously improving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

· Experience with Azure.

· Microsoft Power BI certification or equivalent is a plus.
