Role Summary:

As a Sr. Product Designer, you’ll join a growing team of four designers, each owning a core area of the user experience. We’re looking for someone who’s not only a skilled practitioner but also a proactive collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments. You’ll be responsible for designing intuitive, scalable, and impactful user experiences, from research and ideation through to high-fidelity UI and implementation. You’ll work closely with designers, product owners, and engineers to shape solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct user research using interviews, surveys, usability tests, tree-testing, card sorting, and desk research.
  • Identify user needs, behaviors, and pain points to inform product decisions.
  • Synthesize findings into actionable artifacts: personas, journey maps, experience maps, etc.
  • Create wireframes, user flows, process diagrams, and interactive prototypes to explore and communicate solutions.
  • Translate research and strategy into elegant, user-centered interface designs.
  • Validate design solutions with end-users through iterative testing.
  • Partner with product managers to shape product direction and define user stories.
  • Work with developers throughout implementation to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Contribute to and maintain our design system in alignment with best practices.
  • Lead design sprints and collaborative workshops to generate and refine ideas.
  • Share key insights and learnings with the broader team, influencing product direction.
  • Provide mentorship and feedback to fellow designers, helping elevate design standards across the team.
  • Advocate for the user, challenging assumptions and proposing creative alternatives where needed.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3–4 years of hands-on experience in product design.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating UX thinking, UI craft, and end-to-end project involvement.
  • Proficiency in Figma for designing and prototyping.
  • Strong visual design sensibility and attention to interaction details.
  • Experience in creating user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Ability to conduct and apply user research effectively.
  • Comfort working through ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • A growth mindset, open to feedback, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in fintech, banking, or finance.

Our Interview Process:

  • HR / Talent Screen.
  • Phone Portfolio Walkthrough (1 hour).
  • Video Whiteboarding Session (1.5 hours).
  • Culture Fit Interview w/ CTO (30 minutes).
  • Onsite.

Location:

  • 73 Spring St, New York, NY, 10012.
  • In office (M-F) 9:00am-6:00pm.
