We are seeking a Technical PMO Partner to join our Technical Project Management Office (PMO). Your main role is to guarantee the successful coordination, governance, and strategic implementation of multiple initiatives and projects within a portfolio. You will collaborate with team members, senior leadership, and multi-functional technology teams to align ALABs' strategic objectives with the technology business unit portfolio. Lead all aspects of technical project managers, implement standard methodologies, drive positive change, and foster continuous improvement in technical projects. Outstanding critical thinking, technology expertise, operational excellence, and project management skills are crucial for achieving successful project outcomes.
Reporting to the Technical PMO Leadership, the PMO Partner is embedded in our Technical PMO organization while supporting ALABs' objectives. Join our journey to build technical teams and optimize tools and processes for a new operational excellence function.
What You'll Do:
Successful operational excellence for technical delivery demands a few critical duties in the role:
- Lead and be responsible for a team of technical project managers, ensuring effective prioritisation for strategic, operational, and technology initiatives across the organization, including ALABs.
- Lead regular development portfolio/initiative reviews to evaluate project performance, risks, and issues within ALABs.
- Lead and improve tech-related change projects, focusing on successful adoption of new systems, processes, platforms, and tools with a human-centric approach.
- Lead and mentor the project managers, advocating for technical delivery standard methodologies, process refinements and scalability, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement (e.g. Agile, DEVOps, etc)
- Contribute to the development and implementation of PMO capabilities, modernizing toolsets, and processes aligned with the PMO framework and methodology (e.g. Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Smartsheet, etc)
- Act as a point of escalation for the project manager team, manage partner expectations across technical projects, resolve conflicts, and address concerns in a timely and proactive manner.
- Stay informed about industry trends, AI/ML, cybersecurity, cloud, as well as advancements in methodologies related to project management, argument development, and change management for complex initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to technical governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements across projects and ALABs initiatives.
- Provide guidance and career development to project managers, fostering their growth in project management practices and leadership capabilities.
What We're Looking for

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Software Development, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of proven experience, leading technical/strategic project intake, discovery, and organizational change for multiple initiatives, and being responsible for the operational excellence of PMO functions.
- Experience in leading and developing a team of technical resources/project managers. Support the hiring and evaluation processes for technical project managers, ensuring alignment with organizational & development goals and project collaborator needs.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, aligning operational charter objectives with the business's goals, delivering tangible results, and continuous process improvement.
- Subject matter authority in project management methodologies, frameworks, and standard processes, with proficiency in both Agile methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and traditional project management practices.
- Proficient in PPM and reporting tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, and Tempo.
- Knowledge of systems architecture, systems platforms, SDLC processes, and cybersecurity principles.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with partners at all levels.
- Ability to lead multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Experience in reporting RAG/RAID status, risks, issues, and resource utilization to partners and leadership.
- Travel expectation is up to 10%
Preferred Skills and Experience

- PgMP, PMP, CSM, or other industry-specific certification is preferred.
- Experience in the gaming or entertainment technology sector.

Pay Range
$91,700 - $170,300 per year
Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
