Purified tap water, food and beverage production, massive data centers, and advanced manufacturing facilities all depend on industrial software that can't go down. As a Software Solutions Engineer I, you'll be the person customers call when something breaks, working through root causes with them in real time.

This role is part of Inductive Automation's national expansion into our brand-new Columbia, Maryland office. You'll work alongside the engineers who built our Software Support Services division into the best in the business, and you'll collaborate directly with colleagues at our headquarters in Folsom, California. You'll also get to know industrial automation from the front row, working with end users and system integrators who are building the future of industrial tech. This is a full-time role with on-site work required Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Whether your background is in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering/Controls, you’ll help bridge Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT).

You’ll like this job if:

You love connecting the dots between a timestamp, a cryptic error message, and a weird software behavior. You see a complex failure as a puzzle, and you won't walk away until you find the root cause. You're also patient and warm with people, even when they're stressed. You like working as part of a team with both colleagues and customers, in an environment where everyone steps up to help where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Solving hard problems. Owning complex technical cases: writing and debugging different coding languages, tracking down root-cause architectural issues across platforms, and navigating issues spanning multiple layers and different technologies.
  • Working directly with customers. Helping customers and system integrators by phone and email, whether they're technical or not, and keeping them informed while you work.
  • Getting very good at root-cause analysis. Building diagnostic skills that will serve you for your whole career.
  • Documenting as you go. Keeping clear records of ticket progress, issue breakdowns, and resolutions. They become the knowledgebase articles of tomorrow.
  • Leaving your fingerprints on Ignition. Proposing enhancements, advocating for fixes, and partnering with Software Engineering to shape future releases. The more you master Ignition, the more your ideas drive the roadmap.
  • Growing with the work. Level I is the start of a path through the Senior Software Solutions Engineer role, where you'll take on the toughest cases and help train the next engineers in.
  • Getting Ignition Certified. Completing Core and Gold Ignition certifications funded by Inductive Automation before touching a live customer system.
  • Be part of a global team. Collaborating with colleagues at our Folsom, California headquarters and Australia branch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics, or equivalent hands-on experience with SCADA systems, PLCs, or industrial control networks is required
  • Comfort writing code (Java, Python, etc.) and SQL queries
  • Familiarity with relational databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.) and how tables relate
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS; command line skills are a plus
  • Comfort troubleshooting live alongside customers
  • Confidence learning unfamiliar subjects on the fly
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to listen, acknowledge frustration, and steer a tense situation toward a solution
  • Must be able to work on-site, Monday - Friday from 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Not required, but preferred:

  • Customer Service experience
  • Experience with PLCs (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Omron, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, or industrial networks
  • Experience with Ignition or other SCADA/HMI platforms

Senior Software Engineer — Brand Safety & Agentic AI

Employment Type: Full time Employment Contract

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer — Brand Safety & Agentic AI to join our Safety & Compliance team and help build and evolve CreatorIQ’s AI-driven brand safety platform. This is a backend-focused role responsible for developing scalable services, APIs, and data-processing capabilities that power brand safety workflows across large volumes of creator and social content.

SafeIQ helps brands identify potential risks, assess suitability, and make better-informed brand safety decisions. The system supports historical analysis, pre-campaign evaluation, and ongoing monitoring while keeping humans in control of final review and decision-making.

You will work with event-driven and serverless architectures on AWS, large-scale data pipelines, transactional databases, AI/ML processing systems, AI agents, and agent-ready APIs. The ideal candidate is a strong backend engineer with experience building distributed, data-intensive systems. Full-stack experience is a strong plus.

In this role, you’ll get to:

  • Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs that power CreatorIQ’s Brand Safety and Safety & Compliance capabilities.
  • Build and evolve event-driven and serverless systems using Node.js, TypeScript, AWS Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, S3, and related AWS services, with robust asynchronous workflows that handle retries, failures, duplicate processing, concurrency, throughput, and data consistency.
  • Design and operate large-scale data pipelines that ingest, process, validate, and persist creator and social content across multiple systems.
  • Build reliable backend workflows that integrate AI/ML and multimodal inference into customer-facing Brand Safety experiences.
  • Design agent-ready APIs and tools that expose Brand Safety capabilities to AI agents through clear contracts, permissions, validation, idempotency, and predictable error handling, and build and operate AI agents as services that integrate with other agents and systems through A2A, MCP, and similar interoperability patterns.
  • Improve data models, queries, transactional workflows, and performance across relational databases including AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS RDS SQL Server, and integrate with external APIs, social platforms, cloud services, and data-processing systems across AWS and GCP.
  • Improve observability, monitoring, alerting, performance, scalability, and production reliability across Brand Safety services and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Data Science, ML, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams to turn product and AI capabilities into reliable production systems.
  • Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions, review code, mentor engineers, and help establish engineering best practices, using AI-assisted development tools to improve development velocity, code quality, testing, and engineering workflows.

Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, including ownership of complex production systems.
  • Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js and TypeScript, including designing and building REST and/or GraphQL APIs, third-party integrations, and asynchronous processing workflows.
  • Experience building serverless and event-driven systems on AWS, using services such as Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, S3, and API Gateway.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, transactions, and query optimization, ideally with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server.
  • Experience building distributed or data-intensive systems that reliably process large volumes of data.
  • Experience designing APIs or tools for machine-to-machine or AI-agent use, including structured contracts, permissions, validation, idempotency, and predictable error handling, along with familiarity with AI agents, tool calling, MCP, A2A, or similar agent interoperability patterns.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, secrets management, rate limiting, retries, failure recovery, and secure API design.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and production operations.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to independently own features and services from technical discovery and design through production rollout, and to make pragmatic architectural decisions that balance scalability, reliability, maintainability, and delivery speed.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Product, Data Science, ML, QA, and DevOps, with Upper-Intermediate or higher English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with AI/ML-powered systems or LLM-based applications, including production use of model or inference outputs.
  • Experience building AI agents or agent-ready APIs, with familiarity with MCP, A2A, tool calling, structured schemas, and agent frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or Strands Agents.
  • Experience with Python for backend development, data processing, automation, or AI/ML integrations.
  • Experience with data-intensive systems and technologies such as Redshift, Parquet, ETL/data pipelines, batch processing, or cross-cloud data flows.
  • Experience with GCP or building integrations and data flows across AWS and GCP.
  • Full-stack development experience with React and TypeScript.
  • Experience with large-scale content or media processing, social platform integrations, content moderation, Trust & Safety, or Brand Safety systems.

Confidence can sometimes hold us back from applying for a job. But we'll let you in on a secret: there's no such thing as a 'perfect' candidate. Have 50% of the criteria? Excited about this opportunity? Passionate about what we do at CreatorIQ? Please apply! CreatorIQ is a place where everyone can grow.

We're looking for an experienced SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) specialist to lead organic growth at DatHost. You'll bring a strong track record in SEO and hands-on experience testing how brands are discovered, cited, or recommended by AI answer engines.

You'll help players and server admins find us, whether they're searching on Google or asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini for the best Minecraft server hosting.

This is a full-funnel role with meaningful autonomy: you'll help shape the strategy, identify opportunities, and execute solutions to improve the journey from discovery to signup and paid subscription. We care about business outcomes, not just rankings and impressions.

Responsibilities

Search & AI Visibility Strategy

  • Lead DatHost's SEO and GEO strategy, from understanding user intent and researching keywords and prompts.
  • Always interested in learning how people discover information across traditional search engines and AI answer engines. Run thoughtful tests as these platforms evolve, and share the results with the team.

Content & On-Page Optimization

  • Plan, brief, write, and improve content such as landing pages, guides, FAQs, and comparison pages. Make it useful to people and clear for search engines and AI systems to understand.
  • Audit and improve existing pages for technical SEO and conversion opportunities.

Traffic to Conversion

  • Lead work across the journey from organic visibility to signup and paid conversion. Rankings and traffic are useful indicators, but new revenue is the goal.
  • Partner with the team to improve landing pages, calls to action, and onboarding based on what users need and what the data tells us.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Track rankings, organic traffic, AI visibility and citations, signups, conversion rates, and revenue where attribution is available.
  • Create straightforward reports showing what is working, what isn't, the business impact, and what to do next.
  • During your first 90 days, review our current performance, identify the biggest opportunities, and agree on measurable targets with the team. We won't expect you to promise results before you've assessed the data; we will expect a clear plan.

What you'll bring

Core experience

  • Hands-on SEO experience and examples of improving organic performance and revenue. You can explain the results, your contribution, and what you learned. Equivalent experience gained through different paths is welcome.
  • Practical GEO / AI search optimization experience. You've tested ways to help brands appear in, or be cited or recommended by, tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. You can explain your approach, results, limitations, and next steps. We value thoughtful experiments over claims that any tactic guarantees citations.
  • You take initiative, help shape priorities, and move work forward. You can work independently while collaborating with others and asking for input when it helps.
  • Strong written and spoken English.

Helpful, but not essential

  • Experience in gaming, hosting, SaaS.
  • Familiarity with Minecraft, Valheim, CS or other multiplayer game communities.

Why DatHost?

This is an opportunity to help shape how DatHost is discovered as search and AI tools evolve. You'll have room to test ideas, collaborate across the business, and make a visible contribution. We are remote first, but we also make time to meet in person and get to know each other beyond the screen. You’ll have real ownership in a team that combines the ambition of a startup with the stability of a profitable business.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, and particularly encourage women and people underrepresented in tech and gaming to apply. You don't need to match every preferred qualification. If you have relevant experience, can show what you've learned from your work, and are interested in the role, we'd like to hear from you.

About Dathost

DatHost is a gameserver hosting provider that supports games like CS2, Valheim, Minecraft, Palworld and Hytale. We help gamers enjoy multiplayer game experiences with their friends.

Unlike most other game server hosting providers, we've built our own game server management software and infrastructure ourselves from scratch. We've done this to build the best possible user experience. We realize most players who come to us just want to get on the server and start playing with their friends, so we focus on making things as simple as possible with as few interruptions as possible.

DatHost is a small, profitable business that's growing quickly. You'll work with colleagues across product, marketing, support, and engineering, with the opportunity to make a visible contribution to the business.

Senior Software Engineer

Vested

Vested empowers startup employees to capitalize on their hard-earned equity, primarily by providing funding to help exercise stock options. The company’s overarching mission is to democratize access to equity, ensuring that startup employees both understand and have a real chance to tangibly benefit from the shares they’re granted.

At Vested, we're on a mission to democratize equity ownership and make it simple for employees to understand, manage, and maximize the value of their startup stock options. Compensation at startups is broken. Almost 80% of employee equity is abandoned, meaning startup employees (about 6 million in the U.S.) are missing out on hundreds of billions of dollars. That’s money they earned that could be changing their lives — enabling them to pay off student loans, buy their first home, or start a family. But that’s not what’s happening. Vested is here to fix that. We believe that equity compensation should be transparent, accessible, and empowering—not confusing and opaque.

We're building a platform that helps thousands of employees at startups make informed decisions about their equity, from understanding the value of their equity to receiving Vested-provided funding to exercise their stock options. Our tools have already helped users unlock hundreds of millions in equity value, and we're just getting started.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can define and deliver products that have a real impact on people's financial futures. You'll be joining a small and early-stage engineering team where each engineer has significant ownership and your contributions will directly shape the product and the company's technical direction.

As a senior member of our engineering team, you'll focus on the development and supporting infrastructure of vested.co – our core equity management and stock-option-funding platform.

What You'll Do

  • Build impactful features: Design and implement user-facing features that help people understand and manage their equity compensation.
  • Own end-to-end delivery: Take projects from concept to production, including system design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Shape our technical direction: Contribute to architectural decisions and help establish engineering best practices as we scale.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product, design, and business teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Grow the team: Share your expertise with other engineers and help build a culture of continuous learning. Help us grow and shape our inclusive, friendly, egoless engineering culture.
  • Solve complex problems: Tackle challenging technical problems around financial calculations, data integrations, and building reliable systems at scale.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Proficiency in modern web development technologies and frameworks.
  • Experience with full-stack development, including frontend and backend systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Passion for building products that improve people's financial well-being.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech or financial services.
  • Familiarity with equity compensation concepts.
  • Previous experience in a startup environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity package.
  • Flexible work hours and remote-friendly culture.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous vacation policy.
  • Professional development opportunities.

Location

Fully remote. Standup and collaboration is centered mostly around the Eastern Time Zone, but we have team members from Alaska to Europe.

Ready to Join Us?

If you're excited about making equity ownership accessible to everyone and want to work on challenging technical problems with a real-world impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Our interview process will include an initial meeting to assess mutual interest, a live technical interview, and further opportunities to meet the team and discuss your background.

Please send a brief note expressing your interest as well as your resume to engineering@vested.co with the subject “Senior Software Engineer Application.”

Vested is an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability.

Metascience Fellowship

Federation of American Scientists

Full-time

Evidence-Based Policy Research and Advocacy Since 1945.

The Federation of American Scientists envisions a world where cutting-edge science, technology, ideas and talent are deployed to solve the biggest challenges of our time. We embed science, technology, innovation, and experience into government and public discourse in order to build a healthy, safe, prosperous and equitable society.

The federal research enterprise stands at a rare inflection point, creating an opening to radically rethink how science is funded, organized, and conducted. U.S. research agencies have a strong appetite to harness metascience to serve as the engine for that rethinking effort, with NSF and NIH both recently creating metascience units to test and evaluate research funding mechanisms. Metascience – also known as the “science of science” or “research on research” – uses the scientific method to study the scientific enterprise, seeking to understand how research is funded, conducted, and published, with the aim of making it more reliable, efficient, and useful.

Metascience can provide the evidence base that the science ecosystem needs to move toward systematic, empirically-grounded change. And as AI-accelerated research reshapes what is possible across the enterprise, a robust metascientific agenda ensures that adoption of new platforms, tools, and methods, especially those fundamentally expanding data access and information sharing, is guided by evidence rather than hype, helping agencies make smarter bets during a period of transition. Integrating metascience into formal research funding priorities, policy experiments, and strategic partnerships requires not just buy-in but an engine for injecting capacity at a scale and velocity that can be truly transformative.

The Federation of American Scientists (FAS) is seeking to recruit three full-time fellows to embed in federal research agencies for one year. With the need for evidence-based, nonpartisan science policy leadership more urgent than ever, fellows will serve a vital role in innovating and accelerating American scientific enterprise.

Each Metascience Fellow will serve a pre-service residency followed by a one-year federal government placement at an agency such as NSF or DOE. Finalists will undergo a mutual placement process with the federal agencies before selection is finalized.

During the pre-service residency, fellows will be based at FAS for intensive training on topics including metascience, policy entrepreneurship, and other capacity development areas designed to empower fellows to drive change within the federal government. Fellows will also contribute their expertise to ongoing aligned projects at FAS during their residency. Fellows will be required to attend in-person professional development and team building activities beyond the residency into their official placement.

The one year placement may be extended further contingent on funding and performance. The positions will primarily be in-person at agency offices based in the DC metropolitan area.

FAS Metascience Fellows will be expected to start at FAS no later than January 4, 2027.

What You’ll Be Doing

Metascience Fellows are embedded full-time within their government agencies and can expect to:

  • Support federal agency leaders to advance evidence-driven strategies for reforming federal research institutions, funding, and agenda-setting.
  • Generate and translate evidence on grantmaking, portfolio design, peer review, open science, and/or research governance, helping agencies understand what actually works across portfolios. This may include using modeling and simulation or data science to analyze past or current grantmaking practices.
  • Identify areas where evidence- and data-based approaches could be additive, subsequently designing and implementing experiments with built-in evaluation capacity to capture successes and failures.
  • Conduct stakeholder management, including producing memos or other background materials to inform agency leadership in engagements with interagency and external stakeholders.
  • Spearhead coordination across offices or interagency initiatives around metascience, including collaborating with metascience units at counterpart agencies.
  • Deliver hands-on technical expertise where it’s needed most.

What We are Looking For

  • Experience working in or with a research agency (e.g., NIH, NSF, DOE, ARPA-style programs), with thoughts for how to deploy policy ideas within such institutions;
  • Experience working at the intersection of science policy, evidence, and government operations; and
  • An understanding of how to apply evidence to real-world policy questions (e.g., funding, evaluation, incentives, research practice).

Applications will be evaluated holistically. We are looking for applicants who demonstrate:

  • Experience with research and analysis, and an ability to translate evidence and analysis into practical, implementable solutions.
  • Experience with federal grantmaking, peer review, open science or research administration processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience briefing and communicating with senior decision makers, and experience in stakeholder management.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and shaping new policy areas.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Mid- to senior-career professional, with an advanced degree or equivalent work experience in a scientific, engineering, or public policy field (e.g., Science & Technology Studies, Cognitive Social Science, Science Policy, Energy Policy, Economics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Statistics, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, etc.).
  • Current federal employees are ineligible to apply.
  • Candidates must be U.S. citizens.

Application Materials and Process

Applications are due by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on November 9, 2026. Late applications will not be reviewed. Please note that we are only accepting applications to this position submitted via this platform. When applying, you will be redirected to our application platform and will need to create an account to submit an application.

To apply you must provide:

  • Curriculum vitae that demonstrates you have the attributes described above in the “What we are looking for” section;
  • Responses to the following prompts. Responses to each prompt are limited to 300 words or less:
    • Please describe your past experience translating research, evidence, or technical analysis into a practical policy proposal, pilot, implementation plan, or institutional reform.
    • What experience do you have with federal research funding agencies or funding mechanisms, such as NSF, NIH, DOE, grants, peer review, portfolio design, or research administration?
    • Where do you think metascience can have the greatest practical impact on federal science policy over the next few years? Which reforms feel most actionable now?

Compensation

Fellows will receive compensation of $174,000 per year that will be pro-rated monthly. Fellows are not eligible to receive employer-sponsored benefits; the listed compensation is inclusive of any health or living expenses. Fellows will also receive $1,500 for travel and $1,500 for professional development funds over the course of the fellowship.

Who is FAS?

Does FAS sound like an organization that you would be energized to join? Is it aligned to your values?

The Federation of American Scientists (FAS) takes quite seriously our role as a beacon and voice for the science community.

FAS has a rich history: after the devastating bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, a group of atomic researchers – deeply concerned about the use of science for malice – created an organization committed to using science and technology to benefit humanity.

The group they created – the Federation of Atomic Scientists – soon became the Federation of American Scientists in recognition of the hundreds of scientists across diverse disciplines who joined together to speak with one voice for the betterment of the world.

Today, we are a group of entrepreneurial, intrepid changemakers, forging a better future for all through the nexus of science, technology and talent. We value equity, inclusion, and transparency. As a collective, we are building an organization focused on being impact-driven, customer-focused, and growth-oriented as a force for good in the world.

Applications are due by 11:59 PM Eastern Time on November 9, 2026. Late applications will not be reviewed. Please note that we are only accepting applications to this position submitted via this platform. When applying, you will be redirected to our application platform and will need to create an account to submit an application.

About Basta

Basta helps first-generation students turn college degrees into strong careers by transforming how they enter and advance in the workforce. Its flagship platform, Seekr, is powered by millions of data points from more than 70,000 first-generation career journeys and combines precision matching, personalized guidance, and structured pathways to help students secure strong first jobs. With a presence on 300+ campuses, Basta helps institutions scale career support while connecting employers to high-performing talent that traditional hiring systems often overlook, advancing economic mobility for first-generation students nationwide.

The Opportunity

You’ve led engineering teams (as a manager, tech lead, or similar) and watched AI change what one excellent engineer can do. Now you want your hands back on the keyboard, building end-to-end and owning architecture decisions instead of just attending meetings about them.

You know the why behind the how: you’ve designed systems, operated them in production, and mentored others. You’re not looking to manage a larger team; you’re looking for a platform to own and a mission worth owning it for.

About the Tech Lead Role

You’ll be the most senior permanent engineer at Basta, the technical anchor of the Seekr platform, and the person engineers, product, and leadership trust with the most important technical decisions. This is a high-trust, high-ownership role: the platform serves thousands of first-generation college students, and you’ll hold real responsibility for its architecture, reliability, and evolution.

Own the architecture, end to end:

  • Design and evolve the backend and platform architecture, including APIs, data flows, distributed processing, AI/LLM integrations, and infrastructure, making durable choices that balance current velocity with long-term maintainability.
  • Make foundational technical decisions and own their consequences, with both autonomy and accountability.
  • Partner with the CPTO on technical strategy and roadmap, translating ambiguous product direction into buildable systems.

Build and operate, hands-on:

  • Ship production code weekly across the stack (backend-weighted: Python/FastAPI, Postgres RDBMS, plus Next.js/Celery frontend), integrating LLMs, embeddings, and agentic workflows.
  • Own DevOps end to end: CI/CD, AWS cloud infrastructure, observability, and the operational discipline needed to keep a small team’s platform reliable without a dedicated SRE in the near term.
  • Use AI development tools to multiply your output, while knowing exactly when not to trust them.

Technical leadership:

  • Mentor engineers through architecture reviews, pairing, and code review, raising the bar by example.
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager on project management and product delivery, keeping workstreams visible, scoped, and moving.
  • Model senior engineering judgment in an AI-native codebase, explaining the why behind every how.

What Success Looks Like

In your first year, you’ve become the engineer everyone trusts with the hard calls. For example:

  • You inherit and own the platform’s backend architecture and cloud infrastructure; technical decisions that used to require external senior contractors now happen in-house, faster.
  • You’ve shipped significant end-to-end features and measurably improved reliability, observability, or development velocity.
  • The engineering team is visibly better because of your mentorship, reviews, and the standards you model.
  • The CPTO spends less time in tactical technical decisions and more on strategy because you’ve earned that trust.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years building production software, with deep backend and platform experience; you’ve designed systems and lived with the consequences.
  • Experience leading as an engineering manager, tech lead, or staff+ engineer, and a deliberate choice to be hands-on now.
  • Real production operations experience: deployments, incidents, monitoring, and the unglamorous work that separates builders from prototypers.
  • Fluency with modern AI development (LLM APIs, embeddings, agentic tools) grounded in strong engineering fundamentals; AI makes you faster because you already know what good looks like.
  • Excellent communication and enough project management experience to run workstreams and explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical colleagues.
  • Excitement about Basta’s mission and about building in a small, high-trust, high-autonomy environment. Lived experience similar to the students Basta serves is a big plus.

The Tangible Good

Basta is a remote-first hybrid organization based in NYC. They offer competitive compensation and benefits including medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, retirement matching, and paid parental leave.

Time off includes:

  • 19 paid holidays (including a full end-of-year shutdown and one floating holiday),
  • 15 vacation days (20 after year one),
  • Summer Friday half-days from Memorial Day through Labor Day,
  • A sabbatical after 7 years of service, reflecting a strong commitment to long-term investment in their people.

We currently support employment in NY, NJ, MA, CT, PA, and FL, and are open to other states on a case-by-case basis. They’re unable to sponsor employment visas at this time and do not cover relocation costs.

Shouldn’t health coverage… keep people healthy?

At Harbor Health, we think so. But we may be a little biased—because Harbor Health didn’t start out as an insurance company. We started out by delivering 5-star healthcare in our very own Austin-based clinics.

But, like most folks, we felt that traditional health plans got in the way of good health. That’s why we decided to create our own.

Brief Description

Senior Data Scientist

Harbor Health

This is a FULLY REMOTE position

Position Overview

Harbor Health runs both a health plan and a medical group, so data science here sits where cost, risk and care meet. We are hiring Senior Data Scientists to own whole problem areas, not slices of someone else's project: you define the questions that matter, build the analysis or model, put it in front of the people who act on it, and stay with it until the result is in use.

Right now those problem areas are risk adjustment and claims: how sick our members really are, and what is driving the cost of their care. Neither is solved yet, and both move real money. We hire for this profile on an ongoing basis, and the same kind of person will be needed in other parts of the business over time.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take a vague question from actuarial, finance, operations or clinical leaders, work out the decision behind it, and turn it into a defined problem, a plan and a recommendation, without waiting to be steered.
  • Build the data your work depends on: tables, pipelines and definitions in SQL, Python and dbt, working alongside analytics engineering.
  • Answer the question with the method that fits, from a careful analysis to a forecast or a predictive model, and validate the result before anyone relies on it.
  • Put the result in front of the people who act on it, as a dashboard, a work list for operations or a recommendation for leadership.
  • Own what you ship: its accuracy, its documentation, and whether it gets used and moves a number you can size.
  • Work directly with stakeholders and explain tradeoffs in plain language to technical and non-technical people.
  • Use AI in your daily work, efficiently and responsibly, and share what works with the team.

Desired Professional Skills & Experience

  • A drive toward complex problems. You choose the ones with messy data, disputed definitions and no playbook, and you stay with them until the business has an answer it can act on.
  • High ownership of your own work. You carry it from the question to the data, the method, the validation and the hand-off, and you stay accountable for what happens after. You find and fix problems in your own work before others do.
  • Fluency with AI agentic development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex. You plan, write, test and review with agents, check what they produce, and build repeatable workflows around them.
  • Cross-functional partnership. You work directly with stakeholders in business, product and tech, and drive the work to a successful outcome independently.
  • Typically 5+ years of hands-on data science, applied statistics or quantitative modeling, with strong SQL and Python. We work in Snowflake and dbt; experience on any modern cloud data platform transfers.
  • Sound statistical judgment: you know which method fits the problem and how wrong the answer could be.
  • The ability to size what your work changes: a cost, a rate, a capture rate.
  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience. An advanced degree is a plus.

Preferred

Relevant healthcare experience is preferred, not required. Any of these helps:

  • Health plan, provider or value-based care analytics, with claims, eligibility or clinical data.
  • Risk adjustment (HHS-HCC, CMS-HCC, RAF, EDGE, RADV), medical economics (PMPM, utilization, cost trend) or actuarial-adjacent work.

If you come from outside healthcare, for example insurance risk, credit or econometrics, and have solved comparable problems, we want to hear from you.

What We Offer

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Iterable, you will design and build the end-to-end machine learning systems that power intelligence across our product. As a high-tech marketing platform, we work with thousands of large-scale and diverse enterprise customers. The scale and diversity of these workloads — supporting personalization with deep customizability — present unique and exciting challenges for machine learning at production scale.

You will have real autonomy: from research and experimentation through to models running reliably in production, you'll own the systems and models behind our ML products and help shape the direction of AI at Iterable.

One of our core values is a growth mindset, and Iterable is a company where everyone can grow. If this role excites you, please apply — we value applicants for the skills they bring beyond a job description.

What You'll Do

  • Build and ship core product ML capabilities, including send-time/frequency optimization, recommendation engines, and campaign personalization.
  • Own the full model lifecycle end-to-end: EDA, feature engineering, distributed training, production deployment, latency monitoring, and online experimentation (e.g., multi-armed bandits, ensemble models).
  • Build and scale our data pipelines and serving architectures using Databricks, Spark, AWS, Ray, and Kubernetes.
  • Partner with Backend and Platform teams to elevate feature serving, improve overall data architecture, and establish engineering standards across the team.
  • Mentor engineers on the team and help set the technical direction for ML at Iterable.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of hands-on MLE experience putting complex models into production at scale.
  • Databricks & Spark mastery: Real experience building, optimizing, and scaling production data pipelines using Databricks.
  • Production-level Model Engineering: Proven track record of taking deep learning and ensemble architectures from training through optimization to production deployment.
  • Production Code: Strong Python and/or Scala skills with an emphasis on readable, modular, and maintainable systems code.
  • Systems & Infra Experience: Hands-on work with microservice backends, distributed compute (Ray/Spark), and containers (Kubernetes).
  • Pragmatism: You care more about serving latency, reliability, and measurable customer impact than novel theoretical architectures.

Bonus Points

  • Prior work on large-scale recommendation systems.
  • Experience setting up feature stores or model observability tools.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi).

You Might Work On

  • Building, evaluating, and integrating new models that add intelligence into our core product.
  • Enhancing models that optimize send time and frequency of outgoing message campaigns.
  • Designing data pipelines that make it easy to implement and test new models.
  • Working with platform engineers to enhance our feature- and model-serving architecture.
  • Benchmarking and improving our multi-armed bandit implementation.
  • Building tools to visualize and debug features and models.

More than 650,000 customers and millions of developers globally trust DigitalOcean to build, ship, and scale their applications.

Dive in and do the best work of your career at DigitalOcean. Journey alongside a strong community of top talent who are relentless in their drive to build the simplest scalable cloud. If you have a growth mindset, naturally like to think big and bold, and are energized by the fast-paced environment of a true industry disruptor, you’ll find your place here. We value winning together—while learning, having fun, and making a profound difference for the dreamers and builders in the world.

DigitalOcean's console is where every customer, from a solo developer to an enterprise platform team, comes to provision, manage, and scale their infrastructure. We're looking for a designer to own that experience end to end: the navigation, the cross-product patterns, the moments where a dozen product teams' features have to feel like one coherent product.

You'll sit on a product team, and use that vantage point to build the reusable frameworks, patterns, and guidance that every team working in the console relies on, while holding the broader view of how the console works as a system. This is a role for someone who can zoom from a single dialog to the entire information architecture and back, often in the same week.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end design of the console experience, from first login through daily workflows for their users entire experience.
  • Treat the design system itself as the product: own the component library, patterns, and visual/interaction standards every team builds on, and plan its roadmap jointly with the engineering team.
  • Set the craft and quality bar for the whole product suite, plus a review process that holds it in place, so consistent, polished UI is the normal outcome rather than something each team has to fight for on its own.
  • Build reusable, high-leverage patterns instead of custom screens per team, so product teams can ship well-designed UI without needing a dedicated designer of their own.
  • Own the highest-visibility shared surfaces (navigation, onboarding, app shell, landing pages) as the reference examples other teams design against.
  • Work closely with engineering to make sure designs land in the product as intended, and grow the design skills of the UI engineers embedded on product teams through a design guild, reviews, and pairing.
  • Make simplicity and strong UX a real point of differentiation again, and back up requests for more design investment with evidence of where it will pay off.
  • Own the creative vision for the console: bring a clear, opinionated point of view on what the experience should look and feel like, not just the systems that keep it consistent.

What We're Looking For

  • Staff-level product design experience with a proven track record of building and scaling a design system across many products or teams.
  • A systems thinker who designs for reuse and consistency at scale rather than one-off screens, and understands the leverage that good patterns create.
  • Strong, well-rounded craft across interaction, visual, and information design, backed by a portfolio that shows both taste and measurable UX impact.
  • A history of driving quality and adoption through influence rather than authority, working across dozens of teams via standards, partnership, and persuasion.
  • Comfort being the most senior (and possibly only) designer in the room, setting direction under ambiguity.
  • A strong, opinionated point of view on design, and the conviction to own the creative direction of the product rather than just its consistency.
  • Solid collaboration with engineers, with hands-on knowledge of front-end constraints and how design systems actually live in code as a strong plus.

Nice to have

  • Experience running or scaling a design system guild or community of practice across a large engineering org.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts (compute, storage, networking, Kubernetes) or a track record of ramping up quickly on technical domains.
  • Experience designing for both novice and expert users within the same product.

Compensation Range

  • $192,800 - $241,000
  • This is a remote role

JR: 2026-8165

Why You’ll Like Working for DigitalOcean

  • We innovate with purpose. You’ll be a part of a cutting-edge technology company with a high-growth trajectory, who are proud to simplify cloud and AI so builders can spend more time creating software that changes the world. As part of our team, you’ll embody our "Shark" mindset: bold, ambitious, and scrappy. You'll lead with a bias for action and take true ownership of our products, customer success, and team culture.
  • We prioritize career development. At DigitalOcean, you’ll do the best work of your career. You will join a community of exceptional talent, collaborating closely with some of the brightest and most interesting people in the industry. We are a high-performance and fast-paced organization that will always challenge you to think big. Our talent development team prioritizes your professional development and provides resources to support your growth. We provide employees with reimbursement for relevant conferences, training, and education, subject to company policy.
  • We care about your well-being. We take a comprehensive approach to our total rewards packages because we know different things drive different people. Our benefits are designed to support you and may include flexible time off, local team meetups, and mental health and well being support. Our benefits philosophy is consistent globally, but specific benefits and eligibility vary by location to reflect local needs and regulations.
  • We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. Eligible employees may also receive equity compensation, which may include a new hire equity grant and, in participating countries, the opportunity to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program. Equity awards are subject to approval and the terms of the applicable plan.
  • Non-sales roles: In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in DigitalOcean’s annual bonus plan and may be eligible for a new hire equity grant, subject to plan terms and local eligibility. Bonus amounts depend on company and individual performance.

Together, we’re delivering the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data — from the moment data moves, through every transformation, to the context teams and AI systems rely on. Fivetran helps organizations automate data movement across the systems, clouds, engines, and tools they rely on. dbt Labs pioneered analytics engineering, helping teams transform data into reliable, governed insights. Together, we support thousands of organizations as they build a trusted foundation for analytics, AI, and better business decisions. As we bring our teams and technology together, we’re building on the strengths of both companies while continuing to deliver the products and experiences our customers know and trust. It’s an exciting time to join us: we’re creating a company with the scale, talent, and technology to help more organizations put their data to work with greater speed, confidence, and impact. During this transition period, you may see references to both Fivetran and dbt Labs throughout our recruiting process as we integrate our teams, systems, and career sites.

About The Role

You will shape the future of the Fivetran and dbt Labs for businesses and see your work drive real business and impact. Taking the lead on solving complex user problems should excite you and get your creative juices flowing. We value those that hit the ground running, leading by example on projects and collaborating well cross-functionally. As you talk with our team, your portfolio should contain case studies that demonstrate strong storytelling skills, use of effective design methodologies, and clear results from your work. Fivetran and dbt Labs have a positive, diverse, and supportive culture. We appreciate designers who are curious, humble, think deeply, speak clearly, and thrive on collaboration and feedback. If this sounds like a good fit for you, send us a hello with links to your work and experience! This is a full-time position based out of our Oakland or Denver offices. Our hybrid work model offers a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration, including two days in the office each week to connect and build as a team.

Startpage is a private search engine with roots going back to Ixquick in 1998, owned by System1 (NYSE: SST) and competing with DuckDuckGo, Brave and Ecosia. We are expanding from search results into a broader set of consumer products for people who want privacy without giving up a modern experience.

You will be a senior full stack engineer on the Startpage Consumer team, a small North America-based group where every engineer works with AI coding agents as a core part of the job. You know how to run agents in loops, coordinate multiple agents on one problem, and judge their output critically. The stack is mostly Python and JavaScript. You will own features from first commit to production across the web frontend, backend services and data pipeline, shape the architecture as the product grows, and pay down the tech debt that slows us. The team ships weekly, so your work reaches millions of monthly users within days.

This position is an onsite role requiring you to work in our headquarters located at 4235 Redwood Ave. Los Angeles, CA  90066.

What you'll work on:

Expect to work across the full breadth of the product rather than one slice of it.

  • New consumer products that extend Startpage beyond the search box, on desktop and on the web
  • The search results page itself: new features for subscribers and for everyone, within the constraints of our search partnerships
  • Real-time decisioning that shapes what a user sees for a given query
  • The homepage and engagement features that bring people back
  • Traffic quality and abuse prevention for a product that attracts automated traffic
  • Data instrumentation and reporting so the team can see what is working

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and ship features end to end, from API and data model through to the UI
  • Drive your work with AI coding agents: give them the tools, context and guardrails they need, run them in loops against a spec, orchestrate several agents in parallel on one problem, and review what they produce with a critical eye
  • Turn interactive prototypes from product into production code, keeping the intent and cutting what does not hold up
  • Own services in production on Kubernetes: deploys, monitoring, the on-call rotation, and the latency and uptime targets a search product demands
  • Shape architecture decisions and lead tech-debt reduction so the codebase stays fast to change
  • Protect user privacy in every design decision: no tracking, minimal data retention, and no third-party calls that leak queries
  • Write automated tests as a matter of course
  • Instrument features and read your own results in Sigma and Snowflake; propose the next iteration from the data
  • Work with outside partners and agencies so web and app experiences stay consistent
  • Write clear tickets, PRs and design notes; review teammates' work the same day

Requirements:

  • Daily, hands-on use of agentic coding tools: you can run agents in loops, write the evals that keep them honest, coordinate multi-agent workflows, and know when to take the keyboard back
  • 5+ years of professional web development, owning both frontend and backend in production
  • Strong Python, plus JavaScript or TypeScript, React, and modern CSS and HTML
  • Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and Redis
  • CI/CD and monitoring tooling, and AWS or a comparable cloud platform; comfortable being paged for what you ship
  • Solid automated testing habits
  • SQL fluency and the habit of checking your own feature's numbers after launch
  • Care for performance: you know what a 100 ms regression costs on a search results page
  • Clear written communication with a distributed team and outside vendors

Nice to have:

  • Desktop browser or mobile app experience, especially Chromium, Electron or a shipped native app
  • Prior search or privacy product experience
  • Ads or recommendations systems, especially serving ML models at low latency
  • Bot detection, fraud or abuse prevention
  • SEO-driven site generation at scale
  • Familiarity with EU privacy regulation

How we work:

  • Small North America-based team, weekly releases
  • Product work starts as a clickable prototype; engineers are expected to push back on it before building
  • Agents do the typing; engineers own the architecture, the review and the outcome
  • Data over opinion: every feature ships with instrumentation and a success metric
  • Jira for tracking, GitHub for code, Sigma and Snowflake for analytics, Slack for the day to day

What we have to offer:

  • Competitive salary + bonus + equity
  • Generous PTO + 11 company holidays
  • Open sick time
  • 100% covered Medical, Dental, Vision for employees
  • 401k with match
  • Health & Dependent Care Flex Spending Account
  • Paid professional development
  • Leadership & growth opportunities
  • Virtual company and team building events

WHERE DO WE START?

How about Kansas City? That’s our home. That’s where Garmin put a stake in the ground in 1989. We’ve grown substantially over the years, offering diverse products and global reach in 5 diverse markets. But some things won’t ever change: Our entrepreneurial spirit and a culture where everyone’s opinion matters. That’s because we believe it’s possible to light the tech world on fire and still be on a first name basis.

BIG IDEAS, SMALL EGOS

What we do best is make products that let our customers do what they love. To do that, we focus on practical innovation, never losing sight of the benefits our products bring to our customers. Sure, we love bells and whistles. What leading technology company doesn't? But we make sure ours have purpose. It’s not about the things we make. It’s about the things we make possible.

WE’RE GLOBAL, SERIOUSLY.

Yeah, we’re based in Kansas City, but we are truly a global company. With offices throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East, South America and Australia, our products are sold all over the world. One elevator ride at our headquarters and you’re likely to hear 4 (or more) different languages being spoken. At Garmin, we may act local, but we think global.

DREAM BIG. SLEEP WELL.

At Garmin, we like to encourage dreamers. But at some point it’s nice to wake up and enjoy a fully aware life. So we make it super easy to achieve a good balance between working, dreaming and enjoying life—from workout classes offered throughout the day, breaks to get out and move on our campus, and wellness programs offered throughout the year. It’s almost impossible not to take advantage of Garmin’s work-life balance opportunities.

Our organization's mission is to ensure that Amazon has the right technology and processes to remain accurate and adaptable in a rapidly changing business and tax environment.

That's where you come in. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager - Technical (Sr PM-T) to join us and help build the future of the Tax Services Calculation product charter, which is responsible for indirect tax calculation, determination, and the tax records that support reporting and invoicing for Amazon and non-Amazon entities, across billions of tax calculations and documents every year. As a Sr PM-T, you will be responsible for identifying and executing on opportunities to build high-impact solutions and features for our Calculation product that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

We are looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial product manager who is passionate about solving complex and ambiguous problems and who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position has a high level of visibility, so you will need to communicate clearly and compellingly at all levels of the company. You will measure business impact by diving deep into metrics, tying inputs to business outcomes, and working backwards from customers. You should have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic; you will work fast and smart, and adapt and iterate quickly. This role operates in highly ambiguous areas, and ideal candidates have a proven track record of bringing clarity, simplifying, and prototyping to iterate fast

Key job responsibilities

  • Influence the development and execution of high-quality feature roadmaps based on the overall product strategy and vision.
  • Understand and explain the impact of product features on the strategic value, accuracy, and performance of the Tax Calculation product.

A day in the life

As a Sr PM-T in Tax Services, your day will be a mix of meetings and heads-down time for strategy and roadmap planning, and tactical execution. You'll meet with customers and peers across product, engineering, UX, tax, and legal to understand their needs and identify feature opportunities for our Tax Calculation product. You'll develop functional product and user experience requirements for new features and processes that help meet our customers' needs. You will be expected to own the end-to-end roadmap for discrete product features from requirements gathering through implementation, working across teams to break down silos and drive feature delivery. You will partner closely with the Tax Services engineering team to drive technology design outcomes that

are scalable to support all of Amazon's business and compliance needs. The work you deliver has a direct impact on the future product portfolio for the Tax Services organization.

About The Team

The Tax Calculation team owns the core engine at the heart of Amazon's Tax Services: the platform that determines and calculates the correct indirect tax and regulatory fees for every transaction Amazon processes, across 20+ marketplaces and billions of

calculations each year. When a customer checks out, a seller remits, or a vendor is invoiced, our product is what ensures the tax is accurate, compliant, and processable, in milliseconds and at global scale.

We work at the intersection of technology, tax law, and customer experience. That means partnering closely with engineering to build a scalable, resilient platform; with Tax Planning and Legal to translate complex and constantly changing legislation into

system behavior; and with business teams across Amazon to unblock new products, marketplaces, and business models. Our charter spans everything from calculation accuracy and jurisdiction determination to platform simplification, new charge models, and

enabling emerging businesses to launch compliantly anywhere in the world.

We are a team that values ownership, bias for action, and simplifying hard problems. The tax landscape is accelerating, our systems are evolving to meet it, and there is significant room to shape both the product and the architecture. If you want high-

visibility work with direct impact on how one of the world's largest collectors of indirect taxes operates, this is the team.

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience managing technical products or online services
  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
