Job Description
Are you passionate about maintaining the heartbeat of data center operations? CoreWeave is seeking a dedicated Data Center Technician to join our team in Reno, NV, with relocation support of up to $5k for the right candidate. In this role, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to uphold optimal availability and reliability, exceeding defined service levels. This position involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and may include participation in an on-call rotation.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure data center operations maintain high availability and reliability standards.
- Conduct comprehensive hardware and network diagnostics, followed by effective repairs.
- Perform root cause analysis for hardware and software failures, implementing corrective measures.
- Provide training to internal teams and contribute to documentation development.
- Offer technical support, including script development for server and networking hardware updates.
- Manage inventory, assemble and install equipment, and maintain test and tools equipment.
- Occasionally travel to other data centers as required.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and assembly.
- Proficiency with the Linux Operating System.
- Capable of meeting all physical requirements with reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in elevated locations.
- Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operational environment, participating in on-call rotations and providing after-hours support.
- Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Quick decision-making ability and adeptness at task prioritization.
Education/Experience:
Hands-on OR educational based experience with any of the following areas:
- Computer Hardware, including troubleshooting and repair skills experience
- Five years Data Center experience (minimum)
- Computer Networking experience
- Python, Bash or other scripting languages experience
- Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
- An Associates Degree or equivalent experience in an IT related field
