Role overview

As a core member of the Wholesale Commercialization team, this person would be responsible for helping analyze, monitor and grow both our IMCO (Instant Max Cash Offer) business and our C2D (Consumer to Dealer) business as well as help drive synergy projects between CarGurus and CarOffer. This includes running business reviews, rationalizing results vs. plan, and performing ad hoc analysis as required. This will be more analytics heavy, vs. strategic in nature.

What you'll do

  • Manage our core KPIs for our Instant Max Cash Offer business, a subset of our C2D business, responsible for measuring business performance and providing recommendations to achieve our operating plan, including financial, operating and consumer experience metrics
  • Engage in targeted, mission critical analysis across a wide range of topics to optimize our C2D business
  • Integrate our Instant Max Cash Offer business across other CarGurus business verticals, including Digital Retail
  • Work cross-functionally with both CarGurus and CarOffer employees
  • Become the SME for consumer inventory acquisition within the automotive industry
  • Conduct data driven analysis to support and promote value-added business decisions
  • ~15% travel to CarOffer headquarters in Dallas and/or core dealership and partnership visits

What you'll bring

  • 3 – 4 years of professional experience, with at least 2+ years experience within corporate strategy, strategic partnerships, consulting, banking or similar field
  • Bachelor’s degree required—MBA a plus
  • Loves working with multiple types of data, including understanding raw data, cleaning data, and deriving actionable insights
  • Track-record of outstanding academic and professional achievement
  • Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical skillset that can conduct both periodic and one-time deep dive analysis
  • Capable of effectively tracking and reporting on project goals, progress and results
  • Comfortable communicating analysis results to senior management, including Directors, VPs and the
