Many CG teams have regular, in-person all-hands meetings at which they share updates, celebrate success, recognize individual contributions, and discuss what's to come.
How We Pay
Compensation at CarGurus generally consists of two main components—base pay/salary and variable cash (such as bonus and/or commission). We strive to pay competitively for our markets and to ensure our approach is equitable, consistent, and fair. Conducting regular audits, and working with external vendors that specialize in compensation practices at tech companies, helps us get the data and perspective we need to reach this goal.

All CarGurus employees get company equity in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs) when they start, and strong performers may get more as they continue to grow with us. RSUs vest at a rate of 25% a year for 4 years.

Some employees have generated extra income through our referral bonus program, and by taking leadership roles in one of our Employee Resource Groups or in our Diversity Advisory Council. We also offer many benefits that save you money or put it back in your pocket, like a $15 a day lunch stipend in the office, tuition reimbursement up to $10K; our Auto Perk credit of $1,250 toward a car; a commuter benefit that covers most if not all of your commuting expenses.
Our Culture
Other Perks and Benefits
A flexible hybrid model and robust time off policies encourage work-life balance and individual well-being.

- We supplement our 12 company holidays with unlimited PTO and periodic mental health days off each year.
- Our unlimited PTO empowers Gurus to take time away for doctor visits, parent-teacher conferences, home repair appointments, etc. Some use PTO for religious holidays that we do not already have off.
- Our unlimited sick leave allows Gurus to take the time they need to care for their own physical or mental health and/or that of a family member.
- After 5 years at CarGurus, employees earn a one-month sabbatical, and get another after 10. People use this time to take dream vacations, visit family abroad, and attend playoff games... or to do nothing at all!

Role overview

The Account Manager (AM) role leads the success, retention, and growth of their book of business throughout the customer lifecycle. An AM has a positive relationship with both internal (Account Executives) and external (Dealer Partners) stakeholders. As the primary contact for dealers and dealer groups, AMs are responsible for providing an effective and communicative consultative performance analysis and technical support experience to ensure dealers are getting a positive value from their CarGurus subscription. AMs work closely with Account Executives (AE) to drive growth within the existing customer base through product upgrades, new product sales, and renewals. Through effective relationship management and proactive engagement, the primary objective of an AM is to protect against dealership churn and drive the growth of product and services usage.

What you'll do

  • Partner with AE to support shared book of business
  • Become a subject matter authority on all CarGurus products (Listings Packages & Digital Suite)
  • Complete post-sale onboarding for new dealerships and dealership personnel
  • Be data driven in quantifying value of our service to dealers and identifying opportunities for growth and improved results.
  • Educate dealers on how to maximize the value of the CarGurus platform by leveraging tools, reports, and best practices
  • When appropriate, work with customer to follow-up on technical, billing, and content issues
  • Advance cross-departmental collaboration (Support, Billing, Data Integrity, Product and Engineering) to convey key issues and promote new insights within the CarGurus organization
  • Develop deep and wide-ranging relationships with dealership decision makers and staff, growing our span of influence and the number of CG Champions within the dealership

In summary, Account Managers provide ongoing support to improve the overall level of client happiness and minimize customer churn. To ensure the best customer experience, and in turn an increase in product adoption, stickiness, and revenue per dealer, AM collaborates closely with their AE counterparts to build a detailed spectrum of CarGurus engagement for any customer. From initial onboarding through steady-state proactive and strategic consultation, an AM serves as the consultative face of CarGurus and trusted advisor to customers throughout the partnership lifecycle.

  • Meet or exceed sales targets by managing a revolving portfolio of accounts and executing a strategic sales plan.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities.

  • Self motivated, results driven, and unwavering competitive spirit.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic sales environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Strong sense of accountability and integrity.

We believe in the importance of 'Getting Sh!t Done'

When it comes to proving the value we provide for our customers, we choose to “show, not tell.”

We believe In learning and the power of “yet”

We believe In learning and the power of “yet”

We believe that through curiosity and dedication to learning we can overcome challenges, build skills and create solutions that are not possible . . . yet.

We believe starting from first principles gives us the courage to think differently.

We believe starting from first principles gives us the courage to think differently.

We always rely on a first principles approach to understand and solve problems. Once we build conviction in what is true, we build a solution from that foundation.

We believe being human means recognizing the humanity in ourselves and others.

We believe being human means recognizing the humanity in ourselves and others.

We create a positive impact on the world, beginning with taking good care of ourselves, our families, our teammates, our customers and our communities.

We believe businesses don’t have problems, people do.

We believe businesses don’t have problems, people do.

We solve for the needs of the individuals who work for our customers by developing empathy for what they think, feel, say and do.

Be Boomi

Be Boomi

We build communities of good humans.

We show up for each other with empathy, compassion and purpose.

We strive to integrate a more diverse voice for a stronger and smarter team.

We win as One Boomi.
Be You

Be You

We build authentic relationships through actions that inspire confidence in each other and our work.

We lead with integrity.

We bring our whole, unique and authentic selves to our work and relationships with ourselves, our customers, our partners and our communities.
Be Bold

Be Bold

We take ownership for the work we do as individuals and the results they bare.

We commit to continuously being better.

We strive to exceed our customers, partners and community's expectations.

Our curiosity drives us to do better.

We are inspired by yesterday, but create for tomorrow.
Direct & transparent

Direct & transparent

We communicate directly and operate transparently (internally) by default, which helps us move fast and make good decisions. We proactively give and receive candid feedback out of respect for each other. We respond positively to directness and transparency because the alternative is worse: not hearing feedback, waiting longer to hear the same information, or having less valuable input into a decision. We are willing to disagree and commit.
Win together

Win together

Each of us is an owner here in two ways: of our work and of the company (as team members and shareholders). We all win only if the entire company wins, which calls for the right balance of collaboration and ownership. Too little collaboration causes chaos and brings disappointing results. Too much collaboration crushes ownership and dulls outcomes. As owners of the company, we speak up when something is wrong (even when it’s hard) and help create an environment where we respectfully consider every voice.
High agency

High agency

If all Sourcegraph teammates, except for one, got stranded on a desert island without internet access for a month, we know that person would figure out how to keep Sourcegraph running and serving our customers. We are self-motivated. Everyone here has a high degree of autonomy and freedom, which requires hard work, responsibility, initiative, fast iteration, and optimism in the face of challenges. We think and act like owners of our work and hold each other accountable to do the same so we can do the best work of our lives.
Dev love

Dev love

Everything we do is ultimately for devs (anyone who codes). Every dollar we earn comes from devs trying, using, loving, fighting for, and sharing our product. All Sourcegraph teammates code to better understand our users and customers and to do their job better (in ways that make sense for their role). Our long-term mission is to make it so everyone codes, not just the 0.1% of the world’s population who are devs—just like universal literacy.
Ownership

Ownership

Doing WHATEVER IT TAKES

Everyone is an owner at Starburst and has the autonomy to make a significant impact on where we are today and where we are going. Regardless of the role you perform here, we want drivers. If you see something that can be improved, don’t wait for someone else to improve it. Every employee has equity and this is truly your company – and ours.
Competence

Competence

Inclusive Meritocracy

As individuals, we are constantly striving to master our craft and give our best as we get things done. While individual contributions are recognized and rewarded, we also work to build an inclusive meritocracy across the entire organization where accountability is key. High performance at Starburst is both an individual and team sport.
Character

Character

Humility, Grit and Authenticity

As a team, humility, grit, and authenticity are at the core of who we are. As individuals, we care more about what’s best for our company and customers over being right. We also recognize that startups have ups and downs and when we inevitably face hard times, our perseverance helps us stay the course and work harder. Through it all, we are authentic in everything we do and always operate with honesty.

mabl’s mission is to help software teams around the world achieve their goals. We recognize that we can only achieve our own goals by enabling customer success.
