Job Description

CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant who will lead efforts in ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition practices in adherence to ASC 606 guidelines. Your expertise in revenue accounting principles and attention to detail will be pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will analyze contracts, reconcile accounts, and drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency of revenue recognition processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Recognition Compliance: Lead the implementation and ongoing adherence to ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
  • Contract Analysis: Review and analyze sales contracts, agreements, and other relevant documents to determine proper revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606 guidelines.
  • Billing and Invoicing: Ensure accurate and timely billing activities aligned with ASC 606 requirements.
  • Reconciliation and Discrepancy Resolution: Oversee reconciliation of revenue accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies in accordance with ASC 606 guidelines.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review revenue-related financial reports, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 disclosure requirements.
  • Audit Support: Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to streamline and optimize revenue recognition processes in alignment with ASC 606 guidelines.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with sales, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure consistent interpretation and application of ASC 606 guidelines across the organization.
  • Training and Education: Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on ASC 606 principles and their implications on revenue recognition practices.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, with a focus on ASC 606 implementation and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and their practical application.
  • Proficiency in accounting software NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Proven ability to lead and drive process improvements in revenue recognition processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000-$125,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Hybrid Workplace

Successful candidates will be expected to attend onboarding training at our NJ Headquarters within their first several weeks of employment, with subsequent quarterly travel requirements of 1 week duration.
