System1 is building the next generation of AI Agent–powered consumer products, and we’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own affiliate-driven growth and subscription conversion. You’ll be responsible for designing, optimizing, and scaling the full subscriber journey—from first click through trial, conversion, and long-term LTV.

This role sits at the intersection of performance marketing, product experimentation, and subscriber economics. You will be responsible for how external traffic converts into long-term, high-quality subscribers—not just how much traffic comes in. Success is measured in LTV, retention, and contribution margin, not top-of-funnel volume.

You’ll work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape landing experiences, offers, trials, and lifecycle flows, using data and experimentation to drive continuous improvement. You do not need prior experience with every tool or platform listed below—we value strong fundamentals, technical curiosity, and the ability to learn fast in AI-enabled environments.

This position is an onsite role requiring you to work in our headquarters located at 4235 Redwood Ave. Los Angeles, CA  90066.

What You’ll Do:- Own and continuously optimize affiliate-driven subscriber funnels, from post-click landing pages through trials, conversion, and long-term retention.

  • Source, evaluate, and scale high-quality affiliates, influencers, and content partners, with a focus on downstream subscriber value, not arbitrage-driven volume.
  • Design, test, and iterate on offers, pricing, and commission structures (CPA, rev-share, hybrid models) to align partner incentives with long-term LTV.
  • Partner with Product and Design on experimentation across landing pages, trials, onboarding, and lifecycle flows, using A/B tests to identify and ship improvements.
  • Own tracking, attribution, and data integrity across the funnel, ensuring performance signals accurately reflect downstream conversion and retention.
  • Analyze CAC, LTV, churn, and cohort behavior by affiliate, offer, and funnel variant, translating insights into concrete optimization actions.

What You’ll Bring:- 3+ years in affiliate or performance marketing roles focused on subscription or recurring-revenue products.

  • Strong understanding of conversion funnels and lifecycle optimization, including A/B testing across landing pages, pricing, trials, and nurture flows.
  • Hands-on experience with affiliate platforms and tracking systems (e.g., Impact, PartnerStack, Tune) and modern attribution mechanics.
  • Fluency in performance analytics, including cohort analysis and metrics such as CAC, LTV, retention, and churn.
  • Experience using data-first, AI-assisted workflows to analyze and optimize performance, including pulling data directly from PostHog, Stripe, and affiliate platform APIs, automating cohort, LTV, and churn analysis, and turning insights into funnel and offer changes.

What You'll Do:

  • Improve Deepgram’s core data ingestion, cataloging, and transformation services including areas in networking, speech processing, audio transcoding, and latency and memory optimization

  • Develop processes for measuring, building, and optimizing services to maximize system performance

This role is both strategic and hands-on. About Applied Engineering at Deepgram

The Applied Engineering (AppEng) team at Deepgram combines the functions that other companies might separate into Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Implementation, and Technical Support. We serve as the technical interface between Deepgram and our customers throughout their entire journey. Voice is the most natural modality for human interaction with machines. However, current sequence modeling paradigms based on jointly scaling model and data cannot deliver voice AI capable of universal human interaction. The challenges are rooted in fundamental data problems posed by audio: real-world audio data is scarce and enormously diverse, spanning a vast space of voices, speaking styles, and acoustic conditions. Even if billions of hours of audio were accessible, its inherent high dimensionality creates computational and storage costs that make training and deployment prohibitively expensive at world scale. We believe that entirely new paradigms for audio AI are needed to overcome these challenges and make voice interaction accessible to everyone.

Deepgram is currently looking for an experienced researcher to who has worked extensively with Large Language Models (LLMS) and has a deep understanding of transformer architecture to join our Research Staff. As a Member of the Research Staff, this individual should have extensive experience working on the hard technical aspects of LLMs, such as data curation, distributed large-scale training, optimization of transformer architecture, and Reinforcement Learning (RL) training.

Opportunity

Deepgram is expanding across APAC and operating a follow-the-sun model. We are hiring a Pre-sales Solutions Engineer in APAC to win complex technical evaluations, design clear solution paths, and drive repeatable adoption for strategic accounts. Our strategic Account Executives do not hand off their customers after the first sale, so you will partner long term across discovery, POC, production launch, and expansion. You will focus on pre-sales, and you will often step into post-sales style work when the stakes are high and continuity matters.

What You Will Do

  • Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities. Map business goals to measurable technical success criteria and an evaluation plan.
  • Design, scope, and execute POCs that prove value. Define datasets, metrics, and timelines that land a clear technical win.
  • Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs.
  • Advise on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost. Cover cloud, self-hosted, hybrid, and data residency needs.
  • Run security and compliance threads common in APAC. Prepare crisp responses for Singapore PDPA, Japan APPI, Korea PIPA, Australia’s Privacy Act, and India’s DPDP Act.
  • Triage and debug issues during evaluations. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support to unblock customers quickly.
  • Create reusable assets that scale. Turn repeated requests into working samples, reference architectures, runbooks, and field guides.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects and Support for seamless continuity after initial wins. Stay involved through expansion phases when needed.
  • Enable the field. Collaborate with AEs, CSMs, and partners on positioning, demos, and technical validation for priority use cases.

Regional Expectations

  • Based in an APAC time zone with strong overlap to customer business hours across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and ANZ.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Additional Asian languages are a strong plus, especially Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or Hindi.
  • Familiarity with procurement, InfoSec, and data privacy expectations across APAC.
  • Ability to travel within the region for key customer milestones. Estimated travel 10 to 20 percent.

Your First 90 Days

------------------

Ramp approach for this role Ramping mirrors the Solutions Architect plan, with explicit ticket work and earlier support for strategic Account Executives. In the first weeks you will pick up low-risk customer tickets to learn our systems and support flow, then progress to pre-sales escalations tied to active evaluations.

First 30 days

  • Ramp on Deepgram’s product surface area, platform APIs, SDKs, evaluation methodology, and security review materials.
  • Shadow strategic discovery and POC calls across APAC time zones.
  • Triage and resolve low-risk tickets with a Solutions Architect or Support partner. Focus on reproductions, log and trace collection, SDK setup issues, and clear notes and handoffs.
  • Publish one internal field guide that clarifies a common APAC pre-sales topic (for example data residency, telephony capture, or evaluation metrics).

By day 60

  • Own two evaluations end to end with defined success criteria and timelines.
  • Serve as the named technical partner for one or two strategic AEs. Run weekly technical deal reviews and prepare objection-handling packs.
  • Take point on higher-signal tickets related to your evaluations, coordinating fast fixes with Product, Engineering, and Support.
  • Deliver one live demo that becomes a reusable asset for the region. Pair with a Solutions Architect on a production launch to learn handoffs and escalation paths.

By day 90

  • Act as the primary pre-sales technical owner for several opportunities and expansions within strategic accounts.
  • Close at least one complex technical win with a measurable impact on revenue.
  • Lead one customer architecture workshop that documents a reference plan for production rollout or expansion.
  • Convert repeated ticket patterns into a runbook, sample, or accelerator and present a short readout on the impact.

  • 5 or more years in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role focused on pre-sales.
  • Professional software engineering experience in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Rust. You can build POCs and tools that real users run.
  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms. Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design.
  • Proven track record leading POCs for enterprise customers and earning the technical win.
  • Clear written and verbal communication across both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with speech recognition, TTS, voice quality analysis, or AI agents that orchestrate LLMs.
  • Familiarity with telephony and real-time media concepts such as SIP, WebRTC, streaming, and WebSocket integrations.
  • Experience with self-hosted and hybrid deployments, including Helm-based installs and production observability.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and data residency topics that appear in APAC enterprise reviews.
  • Fluency in an additional Asian language such as Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or Hindi.

Opportunity

Deepgram is seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to join our Applied Engineering team. While you'll have the opportunity to contribute across the team's various responsibilities (including pre-sales, implementation, and customer support), your primary focus will be driving technical pre-sales engagements with our prospects, customers, and partners. In this role, you will be the technical authority who bridges the gap between our state-of-the-art AI speech technology and customer business needs. You'll collaborate closely with our sales team to craft compelling technical solutions, provide technical validation, build proof-of-concepts, and demonstrate the value of our platform to technical decision makers. Your deep engineering expertise combined with consultative sales skills will be crucial in navigating complex sales cycles and establishing Deepgram as the preferred Voice AI partner. As a \ member of the Applied Engineering team, you'll influence the team’s vision, product strategy based on market insights, and contribute to the evolution of our pre-sales methodology.

About Applied Engineering at Deepgram

The Applied Engineering (AppEng) team at Deepgram combines the functions that other companies might separate into Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Implementation, and Technical Support. We serve as the technical interface between Deepgram and our customers throughout their entire journey. We work closely with our Customer Success and Developer Experience (DX) teams to ensure a positive, growth-focused experience for our customers, as well as with Product and Engineering teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. This unified approach allows us to provide comprehensive technical guidance and build deeper relationships with our customers. As an Applied Engineer, you'll be primarily focused on the pre-sales aspects of this journey while having opportunities to contribute to the full customer lifecycle.

This role also includes up to 50% travel to meet with customers, support sales engagements, and participate in key onsite interactions

What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical discovery and solution design for enterprise prospects and customers
  • Architect and implement custom proof-of-concepts and technical demonstrations that address specific customer use cases
  • Provide expert guidance on API integration, performance optimization, and deployment strategies
  • Partner with Account Executives to navigate technical objections and accelerate the sales cycle
  • Contribute to technical content creation including implementation guides, reference architectures, and best practices
  • Mentor junior team members and share technical knowledge across the organization
  • Represent the voice of the customer to product and engineering teams

Your First 90 Days

  • First 30 Days: Complete comprehensive onboarding to understand Deepgram's technology, products, and competitive landscape. Shadow senior team members on customer calls and begin building technical demos. Gain proficiency with our core APIs and documentation.
  • 60 Days: Lead technical discovery calls with account executives, and develop custom proof-of-concepts for prospects. Begin contributing to technical content. Participate in sales strategy sessions and provide technical insights to deals in progress.
  • 90 Days: Own the technical relationship with assigned accounts. Develop and present complex solutions addressing specific customer challenges. Begin mentoring newer team members and contributing to the pre-sales methodology.
