Team Introduction

The Platform Team is the backbone of Possible's technical infrastructure, enabling our product teams to deliver reliable, scalable financial solutions to our customers. We own the critical infrastructure and deployment systems for our Java services and React Native applications, while championing developer experience across the organization.

Our team provides the foundation that allows Possible to innovate quickly and reliably in the fintech space. We design, build, and maintain the tools and systems that empower our engineers to develop and ship high-quality code with confidence. Beyond infrastructure, we develop and maintain core shared components that are used across our products, drive coding standards and best practices throughout the engineering organization.

We play a pivotal role in architectural decisions, ensuring that our systems are designed for scale, security, and maintainability. By collaborating closely with product teams, we help shape technical solutions that align with our business goals while maintaining the highest engineering standards.

Currently, we're tackling the challenges of scaling our infrastructure to support our growing user base while developing reusable components that accelerate product development. We're enhancing our observability systems, refining our architectural patterns, and building robust developer tooling that reduces friction and improves productivity across engineering teams.

As we continue to expand our product offerings, the Platform Team focuses on creating both infrastructure and shared components that can adapt to new requirements while maintaining the highest standards of security and performance—essential components in the financial services industry.

The Role & Responsibilities

As the Engineering Manager for the Platform Team, you'll lead a talented group of engineers responsible for the technical foundation that powers our financial products. You'll oversee our infrastructure, deployment systems, developer experience initiatives, DevOps practices, monitoring solutions, and the development of critical shared components.

You'll collaborate closely with product engineering teams to understand their needs and create infrastructure and technical solutions that enable them to deliver features efficiently. You'll help establish and enforce coding standards, testing practices, and architectural patterns that ensure consistency and quality across our codebase.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team of platform engineers, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
  • Partnering with engineering leaders across the organization to identify infrastructure needs, establish technical standards, and prioritize platform initiatives
  • Overseeing the evolution of our CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and containerization strategies
  • Guiding the design and development of shared components and libraries that can be leveraged across our products
  • Participating in and sometimes leading architectural discussions for new features and products
  • Driving improvements in system reliability, performance monitoring, and incident response
  • Championing code quality initiatives, including testing standards and code review processes
  • Establishing and refining technical standards and best practices across the engineering organization
  • Managing the platform roadmap, including capacity planning and resource allocation
  • Mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance on complex infrastructure and product challenges
  • Ensuring our systems maintain the highest standards of security and compliance, essential for a fintech organization

This role requires technical depth in both infrastructure and product development combined with strong leadership skills, as you'll need to make architectural decisions while guiding your team to successful implementation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of engineering management experience, ideally with experience leading both product engineering and platform/infrastructure teams
  • Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD systems
  • Experience building and shipping customer-facing products using Java backend services and React/React Native applications
  • Background in designing and implementing shared components and libraries used across multiple products
  • Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
  • Knowledge of observability systems, logging solutions, and alerting frameworks
  • Experience establishing and enforcing coding standards, testing practices, and architectural patterns
  • Track record of successful cross-team collaboration and influence on technical decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • Understanding of security and compliance requirements in financial services (preferred)
  • Experience with distributed teams across multiple time zones

Location and Benefits:

We prefer people located in Seattle or those willing to relocate. We have a hybrid work style, with the team meeting at our downtown office three times weekly.

We offer a competitive salary range of $187,760.00 - $197,650.00  annually, with significant equity potential based on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off.

At Possible, we’re building a new type of consumer finance company—one that helps our customers stay out of debt rather than profit from their staying in it. We are a Public Benefit Corporation with the mission to help communities unlock economic mobility through affordable credit products crafted to improve financial health for generations. Join the team that’s making our goal a reality.

Founded in 2017, our lead VCs are Canvas and Union Square Ventures. We have over 100,000 reviews on the App Store, with an average rating of 4.8 stars. Since our founding, we have redefined how people approach small-dollar loans—delivering over $1 billion in funding to more than 1 million customers, issuing over 4 million loans, and saving our customers more than $500 million.

We’re seeking a Senior Finance Systems Manager to lead the transformation of our internal finance and accounting infrastructure, including NetSuite, internally developed ledger systems, and reconciliation and automation tools. This role blends technical leadership with financial operations expertise, reflecting our dedication to scalable systems, real-time visibility, and cross-functional alignment.

You will drive finance transformation, leading central initiatives that modernize how financial data is captured, processed, and leveraged. By partnering closely with Accounting, FP&A, and Engineering, you’ll ensure our systems evolve with business complexity and growth.

Key Responsibilities

------------------------

Finance Transformation & Strategy

------------------------------------

  • Lead the transformation of finance operations by deploying modern systems, automation, AI, and process reengineering.
  • Define and drive a strategic roadmap for finance and accounting systems, ensuring alignment with company-wide initiatives and regulatory needs.
  • Champion continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, and analytics capabilities.

Platform & Ledger System Management

------------------------------------------

  • Administer and evolve our ERP (NetSuite) and homegrown financial systems, including general ledger and reconciliation platforms.
  • Ensure architecture supports scale, compliance, and accurate data flow across order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report workflows.
  • Own the implementation, practical use, and continuous improvement of reconciliation and exception-handling processes using existing tools, supporting current workflows and new use cases.

Automation & Operational Excellence

------------------------------------------

  • Orchestrate automation initiatives to reduce manual input, improve close timelines, and enhance financial accuracy.
  • Leverage scripting (SuiteScript), workflows, APIs, and third-party tools (e.g., Airbase, Ramp, Celigo) to streamline integrations and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Build systems that support near real-time financial reporting and executive-level visibility.

Reporting, Analytics & Data Governance

---------------------------------------------

  • Own financial data pipelines and reporting architecture across platforms.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics tooling to serve FP&A, Accounting, and leadership needs.
  • Maintain data governance practices that ensure accuracy, security, and adaptability.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

---------------------------------------------------

  • Act as the bridge between Finance, Engineering, and Product for systems design, implementation, and support.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams for systems upgrades, new integrations, and transformation initiatives.
  • Align technical decisions with business goals, ensuring systems reflect evolving organizational needs.

Documentation & Engineering Best Practices

-------------------------------------------------

  • Maintain detailed documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Use version control (e.g., Git, Bitbucket), follow structured release cycles, and lead organizational change efforts.

Required Qualifications

---------------------------

  • 6+ years of experience in finance systems administration, ERP strategy, or financial technology leadership.
  • Proven track record in finance transformation—designing and leading initiatives that materially improved finance operations and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of NetSuite (SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics) and integrations (e.g., Celigo, APIs, SFTP).
  • Strong understanding of accounting workflows, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Excellent cross-functional project management and collaborative communication skills.
  • Experience with internal ledger systems or custom finance platforms is highly valuable.
  • NetSuite or finance systems certifications are a plus.

Bonus AI Experience

  • Exposure to tools such as OpenAI, or custom ML pipelines.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions in areas like reconciliation, classification, or forecasting.

With over 2,000 academic partners, a growing roster of corporate customers, and an expanding direct-to-consumer channel, we are looking to significantly accelerate our business to address the global skills gap. Ed2go provides a catalog of more than 1,000 online courses across a wide variety of topics and industries to Continuing Education Departments within US Colleges and Universities. These non-credit offerings enable academic partners to upskill their community, enabling people to return to employment, make career transitions, and increase their earning power!

What This Role Won't Include

While our TPM team focuses on internal and customer-facing applications, user stories, UX/UI design, and the customer journey, this role is centered on managing our course catalog, making build/buy decisions, supporting GTM strategies, and driving the success of our career training programs. The APM will work closely with cross-functional teams to conduct market research, analyze course performance, and contribute to portfolio strategy, not software or feature development.

What You'll Do Here

At ed2go, we create online career training programs that enable people to start or advance their careers by offering high-quality programs at an affordable price. Our students can complete a program and earn a certification in a fraction of the time and cost of a college degree, while using an online format that fits into their work/life schedule. As an Associate Product Manager (APM) on the Key Markets Team, you will play a key role in supporting product lifecycle management, research, and go-to-market execution for a small portion of our longer online Advanced Career Training (ACT) courses (ex: Trades, Advanced Manufacturing, Teacher Professional Development, Business, Accounting, Legal) that can take up to 12 months to complete. Some of our courses are programs that we build in-house with our content development team, while other courses are 3rd party vendor (3PV) programs where we sign partnerships with course providers (vendors).

Role

Due to the size and market potential, ed2go has several product management resources working together within the Product Management Team. This Associate Product Manager role is an exciting, net-new addition to the team and encompasses 3 major areas of responsibility:

  • Product Management & Course Development Support:
  • Catalog Ownership—This role will own a small portion of the Key Markets catalog and will provide high-level support (low-level support is provided by Team Support Staff) to the Product Managers (PM) and Team Lead.
  • Supports the creation of Product Strategy Documentation and the product development lifecycle process for new products, major revisions, and maintenance.
  • Works collaboratively with content project managers and product team members to support development projects, support risk mitigation strategies, and problem-solve as challenges arise.
  • Can stand in for product managers in meetings and correspondence, and represent the product and the PM as needed.
  • Provide high-level product management support for assigned projects, tasks, and programs. Catalog ownership involves a myriad of strategic and tactical work supporting their programs. Examples include writing product strategy documents for new courses we plan to develop; conducting market research on competitors; analyzing data from multiple sources (SEO, secret shopping, survey data, persona demographics; updating product positioning documentation; handling the logistics of product launches; monitoring sales performance and trends; building cases for investment opportunities, annual roadmap planning etc.).
  • Performs competitive market research and maintains competitive insights as needed, such as competitive benchmarking, product offerings, pricing, market messaging, and summarizing competitive products.

  • Marketing and Sales Collaboration:
  • Provides sales and marketing team members with catalog roadmap information and enablement materials to support sales opportunities and sales enablement/training for assigned courses.
  • Coordinates with marketing team members on catalog product launches and supports marketing campaign strategies.
  • Partners with Sales Engineering and Customer Support teams for sales-related inquiries.

  • Support the 3PV operational footprint:
  • This APM role will not own our 3PV process but rather support the leaders within the product team who own and handle our 3PV strategy. Supporting this effort would include these types of activities:
  • Identifying potential vendors and engaging with them to cultivate a collaborative relationship
  • Securing Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements with potential vendors
  • Performing content reviews and assisting other product managers with reviews to determine if content meets ed2go standards and rigor
  • Assisting with the development of Product Launch Documents
  • Enter and maintain updates for opportunities into the CRM (Capsule). Handle training delivery and documentation for Capsule.

Skills You Will Need Here

  • Ability to gather and synthesize customer and market feedback.
  • Quick learner, with the ability to multitask, execute quickly, and get things done.
  • Passion for continuous innovation and improvement of business processes.
  • Analytic problem-solving background with the ability to synthesize structured and unstructured data into coherent results.
  • Ability to solve complicated problems by breaking them down into digestible chunks.
  • Able to self-manage and self-access personal progress against milestones and deliverables with a high degree of accountability and personal urgency.
  • Proven track record to take initiative and follow the project through to conclusion autonomously.
  • Basic customer-facing or sales experience.
  • Strong orientation to detail work and follow-through.
  • Possesses excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and follow-through.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Proficiency using Smartsheet (preferred)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish, but not required

  • Promote reliability and operational excellence by adding tests, monitoring, and automation to the stack

Required Qualifications

  • Practical experience integrating LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) into applications or research projects.
  • Solid grasp of computer‑science fundamentals, operating systems, and basic distributed‑systems concepts.

About AirDev

AirDev (https://www.airdev.co) was founded in 2015 to change how software is built.

For many decades, to build custom software, you had to know a coding language. Now, with no-code platforms like Bubble, you can build high-quality software products visually without writing a single line of code. This means that in the next few years, the number of people who will be able to create powerful software will grow far beyond the number of coders in the world.

We're building a software development agency and framework that reinvents how software is created. We’re one of the top software development agencies in San Francisco, and we’re looking for skilled UX designers to help bring our clients’ visions to life.

Please note this is a part-time, contractor position.

Who we’re looking for

We value a mix of hard and soft skills, as well as alignment to our core values, in all of our people. We are looking for UX designers with the following skills and expertise:

  • User Experience Design and User Interface Design: You have at least 2 years of professional experience and take ownership of the entire product experience. You have an intuitive sense of what creates strong user experiences, and you have the design skills to create those experiences. You have built out highly detailed desktop and mobile experiences for custom software products using Figma. You empathize with clients and their users. You anticipate what their users might need to do and ensure the interface has elements that are easy to access.
  • Information architecture: You can manage complexity and clearly structure information. You can understand complex digital products and design interfaces that clearly organize required information. You know how to draw attention to the most critical pieces of information.
  • Communication: You’re an active listener and a great teammate. You aren't afraid to ask questions. You value and listen to feedback from others. You take extra care in your written communications to teammates and clients.

Working at AirDev

As a UX designer, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Create high-fidelity UI designs for client products using Figma: You'll design high-fidelity UI designs in Figma for client projects based on scope documents created by our Product Managers and Product Directors. Your role is vital, as your designs will shape the experience of each product before development officially begins.
  • Leverage our robust design system, Canvas, to create these UI designs: Canvas (https://build.airdev.co/canvas) is a modular design system that makes building designs lightning-fast. Your role will focus on leveraging Canvas assets as much as possible to create these high-fidelity designs. Once you’ve created the pages and selected the right Canvas components for your designs, you will make light to moderate customizations to those designs to meet the functionality and branding requirements defined in the scope document. Our design system is currently public as a free, Figma community file, and we use this system for all client projects.
  • Iterate designs based on feedback: You will work with a Product Manager and/or Product Director to refine your designs (when needed) for each client product before development officially begins.

Here are some of the benefits of working within the AirDev Partners program:

  • Accept offers to projects that work for you (as a contractor)
  • Work from wherever (20 countries and counting)
  • Grow with your clients (most extend beyond initial build)
  • Work with leading startups, non-profits, and enterprises
  • Collaborate with teammates and clients to help build the right products

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at AirDev

AirDev is on a mission to make software development more accessible to diverse groups of people and organizations. We value diversity in our customers, partners and employees and are committed to creating an inclusive environment where we provide equal opportunities to all employees, partners and applicants without regard to race, religion, age, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, neurodiversity disability, or any other protected status under federal, state and local law. We strive to be a more equal opportunity workplace starting from our hiring and continuing in all parts of our organization.
