We are on the lookout for a Senior Manager, Engineering, in Vendor Growth - Orders Tribe, to spearhead one of our most impactful teams. This team is dedicated to ensuring reliable order transmission at scale for our vendors (restaurant and shop owners). The focus of the Vendor Growth product line is to enhance the vendor experience post-onboarding, empowering vendors to efficiently manage their businesses, monitor performance, and process orders. This role encompasses various aspects of the order journey, including the development of features that allow restaurants to process orders across multiple vendor-facing products (mobile apps, web apps, POS, physical devices in kitchens), and to streamline how orders are communicated between riders and customers.

As the Senior Manager of Engineering, you will lead a cross-functional team of over 20 engineering professionals and collaborate closely with Product Heroes to deliver business-critical services that enhance our restaurants' order fulfillment capabilities. Our system processes over thousands of orders per minute, delivering features across more than 75 countries and 26 production environments in a cost-effective manner. This efficiency is supported by robust observability automation and leverages cutting-edge practices, including chaos engineering, canary deployments, and load tests of up to 3 times capacity, utilizing diverse technologies to maintain our uptime above 99.995%. The Orders domain works across multiple technologies (Java, Android/Kotlin, Flutter/Dart, React, Kubernetes, AWS).

  • Lead a high-performing team: You will lead a cross-functional team of over 20 engineering professionals.
  • Collaborate effectively: You will partner closely with Product Heroes to deliver business-critical services.
  • Deliver impactful solutions: You will enhance restaurants' order excellence capabilities through systems that process thousands of messages per minute.
  • Drive operational excellence: You will leverage cutting-edge practices, including chaos engineering, canary deployments, and load tests, to maintain uptime above 99.995%.

Qualifications

  • An engineering background with the capability to assess complex technical decisions, pinpoint potential technical issues, and devise effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in independently leading teams, proactively seeking opportunities for advancement within your area of expertise in collaboration with your product counterpart.
  • 2+ years of experience in guiding, empowering, and mentoring Engineering Managers, as well as Staff Engineers, in enhancing their leadership skills.
  • Accountability for projects or applications of high complexity and traffic, including experience in constructing large-scale distributed systems and familiarity with incident management protocols.

We are on the lookout for a Director, Head of Commercial Law & Intellectual Property to join the Legal Team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

Join the team that protects and enables Delivery Hero’s growth. In the Legal Team, you’ll support key initiatives by providing proactive legal guidance that aligns business goals with regulatory standards. Your work will help mitigate risks and ensure we’re positioned for sustainable, long-term success—making you a key contributor to our mission of delivering amazing experiences worldwide.

As the Director of Commercial Law and IP, you will lead a team of international lawyers within Delivery Hero’s HQ in Berlin that is responsible for a broad range of legal and regulatory matters pertaining to the areas of commercial law, IT, IP and unfair competition law.

  • Manage our sizable trademark and domain portfolios and lead trademark enforcement activities across multiple brands and markets;
  • Further develop and advance Delivery Hero´s intellectual property strategy to protect our IP assets across a diverse range of products and services, including online food and grocery ordering, logistics services, cloud kitchens, fintech and software development;
  • Offer product counseling services as well as advice on platform regulation initiatives in different jurisdictions worldwide and you will support multiple operational functions and our management in exploring new business models and strategic opportunities;
  • Advise on all IP and IT aspects of M&A transactions and you support Delivery Hero in relation to separation and post-merger integration activities;
  • Together with relevant business stakeholders, you will be responsible for navigating complex commercial transactions as well as high-profile investigation, litigation and arbitration proceedings in different jurisdictions worldwide
  • You will devise and implement best-in-class legal operations and you will drive harmonization in internal legal processes across our 70+ markets, as we continue to scale globally and focus on innovation in tooling and technology (incl. the use of AI).

Qualifications

  • You are fully qualified to practice law in Germany (Volljurist) and bring 8+ years of post-qualification experience within a law firm, as well as in-house counsel.
  • You have experience leading people and you have at least 4 years of experience in a senior management role;
  • You are self-motivated, business minded and solution driven, you think out of the box and provide legal advice in an accurate yet pragmatic and timely manner;
  • You have experience with large trademark portfolios, a passion for transformation, legal operations and building efficient legal workflows across different entities and markets;
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and you have mastered executive communication as well as Gslides/ppt presentations;

Operating at the intersection of operations and strategy, the senior manager will lead the implementation of critical transformation programs, bring visibility to commercial performance across countries and functions, and work closely with local teams to test, validate, and scale solutions. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and deep commercial acumen to influence without authority, secure buy-in, and ensure adoption at scale.

This is a high-impact regional role, reporting directly to the Director of Commercial Transformation, and working in close partnership with Market Managing Directors, Commercial Directors, and central function leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Be part of the specialized SWAT team focused on improving commercial performance across various markets, while other teams transition toward enhancing tools and capabilities.
  • Drive and engage in short-term, high-impact missions spanning 3-4 weeks across 17 countries, targeting critical areas such as campaigns, vendor funded deals, non-commissioned revenues, acquisitions, and team setup.
  • Adopt a bottom-up approach to identify operational challenges on the ground, collaborating with local teams to resolve issues and accelerate overall commercial performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of projects and initiatives that enhance commercial outcomes in various markets.
  • Continuously assess and analyze the success of missions, identifying opportunities for improvement and adjusting strategies to achieve measurable business results.
  • Report insights, performance results, and project outcomes to senior leadership, ensuring transparency on mission progress and success.

We are on the lookout for a Director of Data Science & AI to lead our ML Foundation team within the Consumer space, to shape the future of AI-driven customer experience at Delivery Hero.   • Define comprehensive vision & long term roadmap for content on a global scale: Set strategy for customer-facing content (Images, Dish/Item Name, Description, Meta data, User-Generated Content) and enrichment of the ecosystem (to Vendors, Logistics, Search & Discovery, etc) to prioritize high-impact workstreams.
  • Evaluate and drive scalable tech solutions: Proactively scout AI technologies as well as efficient and effective operational solutions to solve problems.
  • Cross-functional Leadership and Alignment as an end-to-end owner: Rally cross-functional partners - Engineering, Data, UX, Commercial, global brand product teams, and vendor team - behind a common roadmap and phased rollout plan. Serve as a hands-on leader, tackling critical issues and removing obstacles to keep momentum.
