Who you are:

As the QA Engineering Manager at Hometap you will lead the QA function at Hometap, managing a 3+ person team responsible for automated and manual testing, release management, and CI/CD enablement. In this role, you’ll serve as architect for the quality of our software applications, with an emphasis on delivering a world-class homeowner, staff, and investor experience.

What you'll do:

  • Champion a quality mindset with well defined quality goals throughout the Technical Product Organization (Engineering, Product Management, Design) at Hometap. 
  • Develop OKRs for the QA Team and provide guidance to achieve these objectives.
  • Create and manage a set of metrics to measure quality standards and success. 
  • Work collaboratively across Engineering team leadership to analyze results and continuously improve processes and outcomes.
  • Guide the career development and strategic direction of QA engineers at Hometap. Offer coaching, skill development, and thoughtful leadership.
  • Continuously build and refine the backlog for the QA Team, strategizing automation initiatives for the QA-managed end-to-end automation framework, QA-DevOps collaboration projects, and other QA-lead initiatives to enhance test automation and optimization.
  • Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) programs with internal stakeholders and users of Hometap's software. Forge strong connections with internal stakeholders to understand how the software we build could improve their daily workflows. 
  • Play a critical role in release readiness validation, ensuring that immature software does not reach production.

What you bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing a team of QA Engineers.
  • A track record of navigating and driving change for the benefit of the team and the business.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude, with the ability to help motivate and nurture QA Engineers through targeted and effective coaching.
  • Strong instincts for managing individual and cross-team conversations, including the confidence to handle challenging discussions.
  • Extensive experience with web QA automation tools and frameworks. You’re a hands-on manager, and are comfortable building the automation backlog, assisting the team with automation code reviews, and advising on automation architecture decisions. 
  • Experience implementing continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with DevOps.

  • Previous experience leading the QA Team at a fast-paced startup
  • Previous experience building QA infrastructure from the ground up

Who you are:

As a member of the Legal team, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the company – including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing – to solve complex legal problems in real time and enable the business to scale and grow. A strong candidate will have experience in residential mortgage lending, excellent judgment in balancing legal risks with business strategy, and a proven ability to quickly ramp-up, support multiple projects, learn new areas of law, and advise teams in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with and support business teams by providing advice on a range of laws and regulations, including digital advertising, consumer protection, and financial regulations
  • Provide pragmatic day-to-day advice to minimize legal risks while advancing business interests and ensuring an excellent customer experience

Who You Are:

 

As a Hometap Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a team of 5+ full-stack software engineers, focusing on the growth and support of the team while ensuring the timely delivery of software. You’ll work across the organization (including engineering, design, product management, and other company stakeholders) to drive forward Hometap’s business initiatives and create software solutions to support Hometap’s marketing roadmap.

 

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of software engineering experience, with meaningful experience managing and leading a team of developers. You’ll have a mature understanding of the modern web SDLC and excitement about building software that serves both internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage a team of 5+ remote/local engineers working primarily in Python and React.
  • Work collaboratively with the team in developing requirements, communicating a holistic picture of what we are building, and sharing accurate development timelines.
  • Align with and advise the team’s Architects to contribute to broader engineering decision-making (particularly with Front-End architecture).

Who You Are:

The Hometap Finance team is focused on contributing to the growth and success of Hometap Equity Partners and its associated investment vehicles. The team provides accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting & analysis; serves as a collaborative, trusted, business partner to internal stakeholders to promote efficiency and scalability; works with prospective and current capital partners to deliver an A+ experience; and uses data-driven insights to inform financial and operational decisions across the organization.

The Senior Finance Associate’s primary responsibilities will be to ensure the smooth operation of our funds and other investment vehicles. This role will report to the Director of Capital Market Operations and work closely with our Capital, Accounting, Data Engineering, and Business Operation teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with experience in asset management who is looking to join a growing, dynamic company at the forefront of a new asset class!

  • Monitor and manage capital activity (capital calls, line of credit advances, distributions, and line of credit paydowns) to ensure Hometap is able to meet investment commitments while maintaining an optimal capital structure 
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of borrowing bases (eligibility and concentration criteria), covenant calculations, and reporting for our debt facilities
  • Coordinate with Hometap’s external third-party fund administrator on quarterly pricing, fund financials, and investor statements
  • Communicate professionally with our equity and debt capital partners

What you bring:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in asset-backed lending or asset management
  • Ability to operate in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
  • Comfort with borrowing bases and covenant tracking, with a desire to be responsible for timely, accurate, and smooth operation of all Hometap investment vehicles
  • Curiosity and strong critical thinking skills; able to get up to speed quickly on new topics and produce succinct and insightful analysis
  • Highly proficient in Excel (e.g. complex formulas, macros, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with evidenced ability to work well with business partners and external stakeholders
