GenHealth.ai is transforming the way healthcare works, and we are looking for an exceptional hands-on Senior/Principal Software Engineer with LLM development experience to join our team. As a member of our team, you will be at the forefront of generative AI in healthcare, making a significant impact on the lives of patients around the world.

Responsibilities

​

• Security, security, security. We work with healthcare data so security is of the utmost importance. You need to know concepts like authentication, authorization, OAuth2, and the various standards that are used when implementing.
• End-to-end development of full-stack web applications, including frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs to power scalable, data-rich applications.
• Champion clean code practices and high software craftsmanship standards across the team.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and advocate for engineering best practices.
• Build and maintain secure cloud-based systems; comfortable with AWS or similar platforms.
• Implement robust networking and infrastructure logic to support application scalability and performance.
• Actively research and prototype AI features using LLMs from OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, etc.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to iterate quickly and build intuitive user experiences.

Requirements

​

• Proficiency in two or more of the following languages: Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Kotlin, Rust.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more backend frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, Django, or Express.
• Strong experience with frontend development, ideally using frameworks like React or Next.js.
• Solid understanding of authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth2, SAML, ActiveDirectory).
• Experience with containerization and DevOps tools such as Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to design cloud infrastructure, handle networking, and scale systems in AWS or GCP.
• Hands-on experience managing production apps with monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Passionate about applying LLMs in real-world use cases and eager to experiment with AI applications.
• Deployed, monitored, and managed live applications in production environments with >100 MAU.

Compensation & Benefits

• The salary for this role is $100,000 – $200,000.
