Customers include software companies building voice products, co-sell partners working with large enterprises, and enterprises solving internal voice AI use cases. The company ended 2024 cash-flow positive with 400+ enterprise customers, 3.3x annual usage growth across the past 4 years, over 50,000 years of audio processed and over 1 trillion words transcribed. • Drive distribution through owned and earned channels

How We Measure Success In This Role:

  • Accelerated growth in Deepgram’s self-serve and inbound funnel
  • Increased reach and engagement from developer audiences
  • Measurable improvements in signup conversion, activation, and time-to-value
  • Compelling developer-facing brand presence across web, content, and communities

It’s Important To Us That You Have

Qualifications

------------------

  • 7+ years in developer marketing, growth marketing, or product-led growth roles
  • Proven track record of driving bottom-up growth in a B2B or API-first company
  • Strong empathy for developers and familiarity with the tools they use
  • Ability to partner across Product, Engineering, and Sales
  • Deep understanding of growth loops, experimentation, and CRO
  • Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments with small, agile teams
  • Creative risk-taker who thrives on building new playbooks, not repeating old ones
  • High energy, high motivation, high intelligence, high curiosity. In it for the love of the game.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in marketing to technical personas or API products
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team
  • Familiarity with voice AI or LLM-based tooling

Our tech advantage is end-to-end deep learning, but our strength lies in our diversity of people, ideas, and experiences that allow our company to create amazing STT products for people who are true innovators in the field. We believe every voice should be heard—and understood—from our transcriptions to our customers to our employees. Come join our revolution to unlock the power of voice technology for everyone. We want to hear what you’ve got to say!

There is no organization in the world that understands voice better than Deepgram

Note: this role is based out of the EMEA territory.

Opportunity

Deepgram is expanding globally and operating a follow-the-sun model. We are hiring a Pre-sales Solutions Engineer in EMEA to win complex technical evaluations, design clear solution paths, and drive repeatable adoption for strategic accounts. Our strategic Account Executives do not hand off their customers after the first sale, so you will partner long-term across discovery, POC, production launch, and expansion. You will focus on pre-sales, yet you will often step into post-sales style work when the stakes are high and continuity matters.

About Applied Engineering at Deepgram

Applied Engineering blends what many companies split into Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Solutions Consulting, and Technical Support. We are builders and communicators who bridge sales and engineering. We help customers move from problem to production with speed, clarity, and measurable outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities. Map business goals to measurable technical success criteria and an evaluation plan.
  • Design, scope, and execute POCs that prove value. Define datasets, metrics, and timelines that land a clear technical win.
  • Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs. Show, do not tell.
  • Advise on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost. Cover cloud, self-hosted, hybrid, and data residency needs.
  • Run security and compliance threads common in EMEA. Prepare crisp responses for GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and vendor risk reviews.
  • Triage and debug issues during evaluations. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support to unblock customers quickly.
  • Create reusable assets that scale. Turn repeated requests into working samples, reference architectures, runbooks, and field guides.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects and Support for seamless continuity after initial wins. Stay involved through expansion phases when needed.
  • Enable the field. Collaborate with AEs, CSMs, and partners on positioning, demos, and technical validation for priority use cases.

Regional Expectations

---------------------

  • Based in an EMEA time zone with strong overlap to customer business hours.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Additional European languages are a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with procurement, InfoSec, and data privacy expectations across EMEA, including GDPR and data residency.

Your First 90 Days

------------------

In the first weeks you will pick up low-risk customer tickets to learn our systems and support flow, then progress to pre-sales escalations tied to active opportunities and engagements driven by Account Executives or partners.

First 30 days

  • Ramp on Deepgram’s product surface area, platform APIs, SDKs, evaluation methodology, and security review materials.
  • Shadow strategic discovery and POC calls.
  • Triage and resolve low-risk tickets with a Solutions Architect or Support partner. Focus on reproductions, log and trace collection, SDK setup issues, and clear notes and handoffs.
  • Publish one internal field guide that clarifies a common EMEA pre-sales topic (for example data residency, telephony capture, or evaluation metrics).

By day 60

  • Own two evaluations end to end with defined success criteria and timelines.
  • Serve as the named technical partner for one or two strategic AEs. Run weekly technical deal reviews and prepare objection handling packs.
  • Take point on higher signal tickets related to your evaluations, coordinating fast fixes with Product, Engineering, and Support.
  • Deliver one live demo that becomes a reusable asset for the region. Pair with a Solutions Architect on a production launch to learn handoffs and escalation paths.

By day 90

  • Act as the primary pre-sales technical owner for several opportunities and expansions within strategic accounts.
  • Close at least one complex technical win with a measurable impact on revenue.
  • Lead one customer architecture workshop that documents a reference plan for production rollout or expansion.
  • Convert repeated ticket patterns into a runbook, sample, or accelerator and present a short readout on the impact.

You Will Thrive Here If You

---------------------------

  • Enjoy the mix of customer conversations and hands-on building.
  • Can move from whiteboard to working code and back without losing the thread.
  • Communicate clearly with executives and deeply with engineers.
  • Value speed with rigor and crisp documentation.
  • Like winning together across regions and functions.

Minimum Qualifications

----------------------

  • 5 or more years in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role focused on pre-sales.
  • Professional software engineering experience in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Rust. You can build POCs and tools that real users run.
  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms. Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design.
  • Proven track record leading POCs for enterprise customers and earning the technical win.
  • Clear written and verbal communication across both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

------------------------

  • Experience with speech recognition, TTS, voice quality analysis, or AI agents that orchestrate LLMs.
  • Familiarity with telephony and real-time media concepts such as SIP, WebRTC, streaming, and WebSocket integrations.
  • Experience with self-hosted and hybrid deployments, including Helm-based installs and production observability.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and data residency topics that appear in EMEA enterprise reviews.
  • Fluency in an additional European language such as German, French, Dutch, Italian, or Spanish.

How We Work

-----------

  • Remote across EMEA with periodic regional meetups.
  • Close partnership with AEs, SAs, Product, and Engineering to support continuous coverage across EMEA, the Americas, and APAC.
  • Shared playbooks, defined escalation paths, and measurable SLAs.

Interview Process

-----------------

  • Recruiter screen focused on experience, motivations, and logistics.
  • Hiring manager conversation focused on technical depth and customer impact.
  • Practical assessment that mirrors real work. Expect discovery, solution design, and a short hands-on exercise.
  • Panel interviews with cross-functional partners.
  • Simulated pre-sales engagement based on a case study, along with and architecture walkthrough of a past technical win. Show your approach to success criteria, trade offs, and outcomes.

Backed by prominent investors including Y Combinator, Madrona, Tiger Global, Wing VC and NVIDIA, Deepgram has raised over $85 million in total funding. If you're looking to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact in the AI industry, we'd love to hear from you!

About the Role

--------------

We’re looking for a talented, business-minded attorney to join Metronome as our first in-house Legal Counsel. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, you will have broad responsibility across commercial, privacy, and corporate matters, with a primary focus on supporting our go-to-market teams. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Finance, Security, and Product to structure and negotiate high-value customer agreements, streamline deal processes, and ensure compliance with evolving privacy and data protection frameworks.

This is a unique opportunity to build alongside a rapidly scaling infrastructure company. You’ll operate as a true generalist: drafting and negotiating contracts, managing privacy obligations, advising on product and partnership initiatives, and setting up the foundational systems that will allow the legal function to scale. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment where judgment, precision, and speed are equally important.

What You'll Do

--------------

  • Own the lifecycle of revenue contracts: structure, draft, and negotiate enterprise SaaS agreements, order forms, DPAs, SLAs, SOWs, partner and reseller agreements, and NDAs.
  • Lead deal desk. Create playbooks, fallback positions, and templates that compress cycle time while maintaining risk posture.
  • Drive privacy and data governance. Operationalize GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and global privacy requirements in our products and processes, including DPAs, data mapping, vendor diligence, and incident response in partnership with Security.
  • Build the function. Stand up lightweight processes, cadences, and tooling. Educate teams on playbooks and negotiation strategy.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Security, Finance, and Customer Success to close complex enterprise deals quickly while protecting long-term interests.
  • Support corporate work. Partner on entity maintenance, board consents, cap table mechanics, and routine compliance.
  • Pragmatic risk management in service of speed and customer trust.
  • Clear writing, strong frameworks, and consistent positions that help Sales win.
  • Collaboration without ego.

Impact You'll Have

------------------

  • Accelerate revenue growth by enabling the Sales team to close faster with clean, scalable playbooks and crisp negotiation support.
  • Shape the legal function from day one by helping define our contracting frameworks, risk tolerances, and operational cadence alongside the Head of Legal.
  • Strengthen customer trust through world-class privacy and data governance practices that meet enterprise standards and unlock large-scale deals.
  • Guide strategic decisions by providing practical, business-minded legal advice to leadership on partnerships, product initiatives, and corporate matters.
  • Lay the foundation for scale by introducing lightweight processes, templates, and systems that make the company faster today and sustainable tomorrow.

Qualifications

--------------

  • 4+ years of post-JD experience in sophisticated commercial and technology transactions at a top law firm, in-house at a high-growth SaaS or infra company, or a mix of both.
  • Record of academic and professional excellence and rigorous training that shows up in your drafting, issue-spotting, and negotiation outcomes.
  • Expert command of enterprise SaaS contracting, including data privacy, security addenda, IP, indemnities, and liability allocation.
  • Fluency with privacy frameworks and security standards relevant to B2B SaaS (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, processor obligations, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Business athlete mindset: move quickly, prioritize well, sweat details, and communicate crisply with executives and customers.
  • High ownership and comfort as the first in-house counsel building for scale.

Bonus

  • Exposure to data infrastructure, billing, or AI platform agreements, including complex vendor or compute partnerships.
  • Open source, marketplace, or channel experience.
  • Prior early-stage or first-legal-hire experience.

  • Federated Design Leader: You will act as a crucial design connector to our global platform teams. Your role is to build strong relationships with their designers and UX researchers, creating a collaborative ecosystem for knowledge sharing. You will establish best practices for implementing and testing our central ranking solutions, ensuring a consistent user experience philosophy while respecting local platform nuances.

You will partner closely with Product Analytics and Data Science to design, launch, and analyze experiments, uncovering deep patterns in user behavior. Your primary goal is to translate quantitative data and experiment results into actionable insights and superior design solutions that improve item discovery.
  • Holistic Experience Strategist: You will be responsible for the end-to-end item discovery experience, from the highest-level navigation to the final ranking of products on the digital shelf, for all of our global entities. You'll use service blueprints and journey maps to visualize how our central ranking systems interact with various platform UIs and other domain services, championing a unified and intelligent customer experience across all touchpoints.
  • UX Communication Expert: You are a great storyteller, capable of articulating a clear vision and compelling rationale for design decisions related to complex, often "invisible" systems like ranking. You will create highly persuasive deliverables that align technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams and leadership, ensuring everyone understands the "why" behind the user experience.

Qualifications

--------------

  • Extensive experience designing and shipping data-rich products for mobile applications and web, with a portfolio that demonstrates your work on complex systems like personalization, search, or recommendation engines.
  • Proven ability to work in a highly technical environment, collaborating effectively with data science and engineering teams on products powered by machine learning or complex algorithms.
  • A strong grasp of quantitative data and experimentation (A/B testing), with experience turning analytical insights into strategic design decisions.
  • Ability to lead through influence, build consensus across distributed teams, and drive design practices through narrative and rigor.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your user-centered design approach, systems thinking, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in e-commerce, q-commerce, or marketplace environments (B2B - B2C).
  • Direct experience designing for ranking, personalization, or search algorithms.
