- CarGurus offers traditional and Roth 401K plans through Fidelity with automatic enrollment after 30 days.
- We match 50 cents of every dollar of your 401K contributions up to 8% of your eligible compensation. You're 50% vested after one year of employment, 100% vested after two.
- We offer Restricted stock units (RSUs) to new hires, subject to time-based vesting tied to employment. These are subject to time-based vesting tied to employment, and Gurus have the potential to earn more RSUs through retention programs and eligible promotions.
- Depending on your role, you will also be eligible for either our sales incentive or employee bonus program.
How We Work
Our hybrid model gives Gurus flexibility to integrate work and life. Perks like a $15 a day lunch subsidy, paid commuter fees, and pop-up events make in-office time easy to enjoy. Many CG teams have regular, in-person all-hands meetings at which they share updates, celebrate success, recognize individual contributions, and discuss what's to come.
How We Pay
Compensation at CarGurus generally consists of two main components—base pay/salary and variable cash (such as bonus and/or commission). We strive to pay competitively for our markets and to ensure our approach is equitable, consistent, and fair. Conducting regular audits, and working with external vendors that specialize in compensation practices at tech companies, helps us get the data and perspective we need to reach this goal.

All CarGurus employees get company equity in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs) when they start, and strong performers may get more as they continue to grow with us. RSUs vest at a rate of 25% a year for 4 years.

Some employees have generated extra income through our referral bonus program, and by taking leadership roles in one of our Employee Resource Groups or in our Diversity Advisory Council. We also offer many benefits that save you money or put it back in your pocket, like a $15 a day lunch stipend in the office, tuition reimbursement up to $10K; our Auto Perk credit of $1,250 toward a car; a commuter benefit that covers most if not all of your commuting expenses.

Role Overview

The "Dealer Relations Account Manager" (Account Executive, Existing Accounts) will focus on maintaining and growing CarGurus’ existing customer base in the UK market through the analysis of performance data, re-negotiation of subscription rates, prospecting of potential up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, and mitigation of customer churn. CarGurus is seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our team as a Dealer Performance Partner. In this role, you will partner with high-value CarGurus customers to deliver targeted support to optimize dealers’ results with CarGurus. You will play a vital role in developing and leading on-site training and ongoing coaching to dealership employees, empowering them with the knowledge and tools to optimize lead handling, improve customer connections, and drive return on investment. Who you are

  • Previous experience in dealership operations, sales, F&I, or BDC & Internet department management, minimum of (5) years
  • Ability to travel nationwide, up to multiple days each week if needed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You believe that proactive communication can reduce friction, improve relationships, and drive business results.
  • Confidence in delivering information publicly and leading meetings, through in-person and virtual channels to audiences small and large. Prior experience here is ideal.
  • As a lover of data, you are adept at compiling & reporting on performance metrics while using this as a basis for decision-making.

Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager to join our team at CarOffer. Reporting to the Senior Director of Accounting, this role is a key contributor within the accounting organization and will collaborate closely with teams across the business, particularly FP&A and operational stakeholders.

  • Serve as a go-to resource for accounting guidance and support across the business.

Role overview

The Assistant Corporate Controller is a highly visible and critical position providing leadership to the company’s accounting and reporting function. This position will report into the Corporate Controller. This role will have a broad scope of responsibilities across the accounting function and have visibility across the organization. Our Information Security Operations Engineer II will report into our Security Operations Manager and be responsible for securing the organization’s infrastructure. You will closely collaborate with other Security Engineers to continuously improve and develop our digital security posture. This includes managing alerts, incidents, and projects focused on the holistic security of CarGurus cloud infrastructure and corporate endpoints

Our SecOps Engineer will be utilizing our CSPM, security logging, monitoring and SIEM solutions, and acting as one point of contact for the security incident response team (SIRT). Monitoring, triaging and remediating security events while simultaneously improving threat detection logic is imperative to helping reduce risk exposure to our business.

What you'll do

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related curriculum
  • 3-5 years of experience securing cloud agnostic infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and datastores (MySQL, MongoDB, RDS) including use of automation and container deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Chef, Puppet)

CarGurus has identified a strong market fit for a new product that will launch in 2025. This product, the CarGurus Pricing Tool, will be utilized and sold into a different part of the dealership and to a different buying persona than our other core products. Role Overview

CarGurus is looking for a User Experience Designer to join our mobile team, helping to build intuitive, delightful, and high-performing experiences for our iOS and Android apps. This mid-career role is a great opportunity for a mobile-focused UX designer who is curious, collaborative, and passionate about solving real-world problems through user-centered design.

You will be embedded within our Mobile design pod, working under the guidance and mentorship of our Mobile Lead. Our mobile team builds using React Native, so familiarity with this environment is highly desirable. What you'll do

  • Design intuitive and effective mobile experiences for iOS and Android platforms, contributing to both feature work and longer-term UX strategy for the mobile app
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to understand user needs, define problems, and explore a range of solutions through wireframes, flows, and prototypes
  • Apply user research insights, behavioral data, and A/B test results to iterate and improve designs
  • Participate in discovery efforts, helping identify the right problems to solve and how to validate proposed ideas
  • Use tools like Figma to create production-ready designs, with a strong emphasis on visual polish and attention to detail
  • Design and communicate micro interactions, transitions, and motion design to enhance mobile UX and create a more fluid and engaging user experience, using best practices for mobile animation and interaction design
  • Rapidly prototype experiences using design tools, AI-enhanced workflows, or light front-end technologies to convey interaction intent and support iterative testing
  • Move quickly and confidently through the design process, adapting to fast-changing priorities while maintaining a user-first approach

What you'll bring

  • 3-5 years of UX/product design experience with a strong focus on mobile app design (iOS and/or Android), proficiency with tools like Figma and comfort working in agile, cross-functional teams
  • A solid understanding of mobile UX/UI best practices, trends, and platform guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience with interaction and motion design, including the thoughtful use of animation to guide, inform, and delight users on mobile platforms
  • Familiarity with user-centered design, including usability testing, rapid prototyping, and evidence-based iteration
  • Experience using data and analytics to inform design decisions, and a desire to improve designs based on what users actually do
