Company Overview

====================

Deepgram is the leading voice AI platform for developers building speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS) and full speech-to-speech (STS) offerings. 200,000+ developers build with Deepgram’s voice-native foundational models – accessed through APIs or as self-managed software – due to our unmatched accuracy, latency and pricing. Customers include software companies building voice products, co-sell partners working with large enterprises, and enterprises solving internal voice AI use cases. The company ended 2024 cash-flow positive with 400+ enterprise customers, 3.3x annual usage growth across the past 4 years, over 50,000 years of audio processed and over 1 trillion words transcribed. There is no organization in the world that understands voice better than Deepgram.

Company Operating Rhythm

============================

At Deepgram, we expect an AI-first mindset—AI use and comfort aren’t optional, they’re core to how we operate, innovate, and measure performance.

Every team member who works at Deepgram is expected to actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools, and even build your own into your everyday work. We measure how effectively AI is applied to deliver results, and consistent, creative use of the latest AI capabilities is key to success here. Candidates should be comfortable adopting new models and modes quickly, integrating AI into their workflows, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what these technologies can do.

Additionally, we move at the pace of AI. Change is rapid, and you can expect your day-to-day work to evolve just as quickly. This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5.

Note: this role is based out of the EMEA territory.

Opportunity

Deepgram is expanding globally and operating a follow-the-sun model. We are hiring a Pre-sales Solutions Engineer in EMEA to win complex technical evaluations, design clear solution paths, and drive repeatable adoption for strategic accounts. Our strategic Account Executives do not hand off their customers after the first sale, so you will partner long-term across discovery, POC, production launch, and expansion. You will focus on pre-sales, yet you will often step into post-sales style work when the stakes are high and continuity matters.

About Applied Engineering at Deepgram

Applied Engineering blends what many companies split into Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Solutions Consulting, and Technical Support. We are builders and communicators who bridge sales and engineering. We help customers move from problem to production with speed, clarity, and measurable outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities. Map business goals to measurable technical success criteria and an evaluation plan.
  • Design, scope, and execute POCs that prove value. Define datasets, metrics, and timelines that land a clear technical win.
  • Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs. Show, do not tell.
  • Advise on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost. Cover cloud, self-hosted, hybrid, and data residency needs.
  • Run security and compliance threads common in EMEA. Prepare crisp responses for GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and vendor risk reviews.
  • Triage and debug issues during evaluations. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Support to unblock customers quickly.
  • Create reusable assets that scale. Turn repeated requests into working samples, reference architectures, runbooks, and field guides.
  • Partner with Solutions Architects and Support for seamless continuity after initial wins. Stay involved through expansion phases when needed.
  • Enable the field. Collaborate with AEs, CSMs, and partners on positioning, demos, and technical validation for priority use cases.

Regional Expectations

---------------------

  • Based in an EMEA time zone with strong overlap to customer business hours.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Additional European languages are a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with procurement, InfoSec, and data privacy expectations across EMEA, including GDPR and data residency.

Your First 90 Days

------------------

In the first weeks you will pick up low-risk customer tickets to learn our systems and support flow, then progress to pre-sales escalations tied to active opportunities and engagements driven by Account Executives or partners.

First 30 days

  • Ramp on Deepgram’s product surface area, platform APIs, SDKs, evaluation methodology, and security review materials.
  • Shadow strategic discovery and POC calls.
  • Triage and resolve low-risk tickets with a Solutions Architect or Support partner. Focus on reproductions, log and trace collection, SDK setup issues, and clear notes and handoffs.
  • Publish one internal field guide that clarifies a common EMEA pre-sales topic (for example data residency, telephony capture, or evaluation metrics).

By day 60

  • Own two evaluations end to end with defined success criteria and timelines.
  • Serve as the named technical partner for one or two strategic AEs. Run weekly technical deal reviews and prepare objection handling packs.
  • Take point on higher signal tickets related to your evaluations, coordinating fast fixes with Product, Engineering, and Support.
  • Deliver one live demo that becomes a reusable asset for the region. Pair with a Solutions Architect on a production launch to learn handoffs and escalation paths.

By day 90

  • Act as the primary pre-sales technical owner for several opportunities and expansions within strategic accounts.
  • Close at least one complex technical win with a measurable impact on revenue.
  • Lead one customer architecture workshop that documents a reference plan for production rollout or expansion.
  • Convert repeated ticket patterns into a runbook, sample, or accelerator and present a short readout on the impact.

You Will Thrive Here If You

---------------------------

  • Enjoy the mix of customer conversations and hands-on building.
  • Can move from whiteboard to working code and back without losing the thread.
  • Communicate clearly with executives and deeply with engineers.
  • Value speed with rigor and crisp documentation.
  • Like winning together across regions and functions.

Minimum Qualifications

----------------------

  • 5 or more years in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role focused on pre-sales.
  • Professional software engineering experience in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Rust. You can build POCs and tools that real users run.
  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms. Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design.
  • Proven track record leading POCs for enterprise customers and earning the technical win.
  • Clear written and verbal communication across both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

------------------------

  • Experience with speech recognition, TTS, voice quality analysis, or AI agents that orchestrate LLMs.
  • Familiarity with telephony and real-time media concepts such as SIP, WebRTC, streaming, and WebSocket integrations.
  • Experience with self-hosted and hybrid deployments, including Helm-based installs and production observability.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and data residency topics that appear in EMEA enterprise reviews.
  • Fluency in an additional European language such as German, French, Dutch, Italian, or Spanish.

How We Work

-----------

  • Remote across EMEA with periodic regional meetups.
  • Close partnership with AEs, SAs, Product, and Engineering to support continuous coverage across EMEA, the Americas, and APAC.
  • Shared playbooks, defined escalation paths, and measurable SLAs.

Interview Process

-----------------

  • Recruiter screen focused on experience, motivations, and logistics.
  • Hiring manager conversation focused on technical depth and customer impact.
  • Practical assessment that mirrors real work. Expect discovery, solution design, and a short hands-on exercise.
  • Panel interviews with cross-functional partners.
  • Simulated pre-sales engagement based on a case study, along with and architecture walkthrough of a past technical win. Show your approach to success criteria, trade offs, and outcomes.

Backed by prominent investors including Y Combinator, Madrona, Tiger Global, Wing VC and NVIDIA, Deepgram has raised over $85 million in total funding. If you're looking to work on cutting-edge technology and make a significant impact in the AI industry, we'd love to hear from you!

Deepgram is an equal opportunity employer. We want all voices and perspectives represented in our workforce. We are a curious bunch focused on collaboration and doing the right thing. We put our customers first, grow together and move quickly. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status, pregnancy, parental status, genetic information, political affiliation, or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate.

We are happy to provide accommodations for applicants who need them.

The Opportunity

---------------

Voice is the most natural modality for human interaction with machines. However, current sequence modeling paradigms based on jointly scaling model and data cannot deliver voice AI capable of universal human interaction. The challenges are rooted in fundamental data problems posed by audio: real-world audio data is scarce and enormously diverse, spanning a vast space of voices, speaking styles, and acoustic conditions. Even if billions of hours of audio were accessible, its inherent high dimensionality creates computational and storage costs that make training and deployment prohibitively expensive at world scale. We believe that entirely new paradigms for audio AI are needed to overcome these challenges and make voice interaction accessible to everyone.

The Role

--------

Deepgram is currently looking for an experienced researcher to who has worked extensively with Large Language Models (LLMS) and has a deep understanding of transformer architecture to join our Research Staff. Company Operating Rhythm

============================

Note: this role is based out of the APAC territory.

Opportunity

Deepgram is expanding across APAC and operating a follow-the-sun model. We are hiring a Pre-sales Solutions Engineer in APAC to win complex technical evaluations, design clear solution paths, and drive repeatable adoption for strategic accounts. Our strategic Account Executives do not hand off their customers after the first sale, so you will partner long term across discovery, POC, production launch, and expansion. You will focus on pre-sales, and you will often step into post-sales style work when the stakes are high and continuity matters.

About Applied Engineering at Deepgram

-------------------------------------

Applied Engineering blends what many companies split into Solutions Engineering, Architecture, Consulting, and Senior Technical Support. We are builders and communicators who bridge sales and engineering. We help customers move from problem to production with speed, clarity, and measurable outcomes.

What You Will Do

----------------

  • Lead technical discovery for strategic opportunities. Map business goals to measurable technical success criteria and an evaluation plan.
  • Design, scope, and execute POCs that prove value. Define datasets, metrics, and timelines that land a clear technical win.
  • Build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs.
  • Advise on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost. Cover cloud, self-hosted, hybrid, and data residency needs.
  • Run security and compliance threads common in APAC. Prepare crisp responses for Singapore PDPA, Japan APPI, Korea PIPA, Australia’s Privacy Act, and India’s DPDP Act.

  • Based in an APAC time zone with strong overlap to customer business hours across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and ANZ.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Additional Asian languages are a strong plus, especially Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or Hindi.
  • Familiarity with procurement, InfoSec, and data privacy expectations across APAC.
  • Ability to travel within the region for key customer milestones. Estimated travel 10 to 20 percent.

Your First 90 Days

------------------

Ramp approach for this role Ramping mirrors the Solutions Architect plan, with explicit ticket work and earlier support for strategic Account Executives. In the first weeks you will pick up low-risk customer tickets to learn our systems and support flow, then progress to pre-sales escalations tied to active evaluations.

First 30 days

  • Ramp on Deepgram’s product surface area, platform APIs, SDKs, evaluation methodology, and security review materials.
  • Shadow strategic discovery and POC calls across APAC time zones.
  • Triage and resolve low-risk tickets with a Solutions Architect or Support partner. Focus on reproductions, log and trace collection, SDK setup issues, and clear notes and handoffs.
  • Publish one internal field guide that clarifies a common APAC pre-sales topic (for example data residency, telephony capture, or evaluation metrics).

By day 60

  • Own two evaluations end to end with defined success criteria and timelines.
  • Serve as the named technical partner for one or two strategic AEs. Run weekly technical deal reviews and prepare objection-handling packs.
  • Take point on higher-signal tickets related to your evaluations, coordinating fast fixes with Product, Engineering, and Support.

  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and data residency topics that appear in APAC enterprise reviews.
  • Fluency in an additional Asian language such as Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or Hindi.

How We Work

-----------

  • Remote across APAC with periodic regional meetups.
  • Close partnership with AEs, SAs, Product, and Engineering to support continuous coverage across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.

  • Live demo and architecture walkthrough of a past technical win. Show your approach to success criteria, trade offs, and outcomes.

  • Enjoy creating elegant, automated solutions for complex infrastructure challenges in both cloud and data center environments.
  • Thrive on optimizing hybrid infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability.
  • Are excited to work at the intersection of modern platform engineering and cutting-edge AI.
  • Love to treat infrastructure as a product, continuously improving the developer experience.

It’s Important To Us That You Have

  • 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
  • Proven, hands-on experience building and managing production infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and operations in a large-scale environment.
  • Experience with high-performance compute (HPC) job schedulers, specifically Slurm, for managing GPU-intensive AI workloads.
  • Experience managing bare metal infrastructure, including server provisioning (e.g., PXE boot, MAAS), configuration, and lifecycle management.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).

It Would Be Great if You Had

  • Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD) and building developer tooling.
  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes networking (e.g., Calico, Cilium) and storage (e.g., Ceph, Rook) solutions.
  • Experience in a multi-region or hybrid cloud environment.

Note: this role is based out of the EMEA territory.

The Opportunity

---------------

Deepgram is expanding globally and building a true follow‑the‑sun model. We are hiring a Solutions Architect in EMEA to own complex post‑sales engagements, guide customers to production, and strengthen our technical support coverage for the region. You will work across the full customer lifecycle, with a primary focus on architecture, implementation, and Tier‑3 technical problem solving. You will also contribute to pre‑sales validation when deep technical credibility is needed, partner with Product and Engineering on feedback and roadmap, and help mature our global operations.

About Applied Engineering at Deepgram

-------------------------------------

Applied Engineering combines functions that other companies split across Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Consulting, and Senior Technical Support. We are the technical interface from first discovery through successful production and beyond. The team partners closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and DevRel to deliver an enterprise‑grade experience that is fast, clear, and outcome‑oriented.

What You’ll Do

--------------

  • Lead architecture and implementation for enterprise deployments that use Deepgram’s speech‑to‑text, text‑to‑speech, and voice‑agent capabilities.
  • Own post‑sales technical success for assigned accounts. Unblock integrations, optimize accuracy and latency, and guide customers to stable production.
  • Serve as the Tier‑3 escalation point for complex issues. Drive root cause analysis, propose mitigations, and write durable fixes or automation when possible.
  • Design reference architectures and implementation patterns for common EMEA customer use cases including contact centers, voice analytics, QA, and AI agents.
  • Build high‑quality samples, internal tools, or scripts that make repeatable tasks easier for customers and for our team.
  • Contribute to pre‑sales discovery and POCs when deep technical direction is needed. Translate business goals to a concrete plan with clear success criteria.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to prioritize fixes and features. Bring crisp customer signals that improve our roadmap.
  • Contribute to knowledge systems. Capture runbooks, playbooks, and docs that scale your expertise across regions.
  • Participate in an on‑call or incident rotation appropriate for the region and customer support tier. Help us meet or outperform regional SLAs.

Regional Expectations

---------------------

  • Based in an EMEA time zone with reliable overlap to customer business hours.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Additional European languages are a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, data privacy expectations, and enterprise security reviews common across EMEA.
  • Ability to travel within the region for critical customer milestones, estimated 10–20 percent.

Your First 90 Days

------------------

First 30 days

Ramp on Deepgram’s platform, APIs, SDKs, self-hosted deployments, and support practices. Shadow calls across pre-sales, post-sales, and support. Begin owning low-risk technical tasks for an active account and contribute improvements to runbooks or sample code.

By day 60

Own two to three customer workstreams end-to-end. Lead discovery for one new implementation or migration. Publish one reusable asset such as a deployment guide, Helm example, or troubleshooting playbook.

By day 90

Act as primary technical owner for several EMEA accounts in production. Close at least one complex investigation with measurable customer impact. Present a short readout on a repeated regional pattern and the automation or content you created to solve it.

You’ll Thrive Here If You

-------------------------

  • Enjoy solving hard customer problems at the code, container, and cloud layers.
  • Like translating messy real‑world constraints into clear architectures and plans.
  • Are comfortable writing and reading production‑grade code, not just sample snippets.
  • Value crisp documentation, reproducible runbooks, and operational excellence.
  • Care about delivering outcomes, not just closing tickets.

Minimum Qualifications

----------------------

  • 5 or more years in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, or similar customer‑facing technical roles.
  • Professional software engineering experience in at least one language such as Python, Rust, or JavaScript. You can build POCs and tools that real users run.
  • Hands‑on experience with modern cloud platforms. Comfortable with containerization and orchestration, for example Docker and Kubernetes, and with secure network design for API‑driven systems.
  • Proven ownership of complex post‑sales work such as production deployments, migrations, performance tuning, and incident response.
  • Clear written and verbal communication across both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

------------------------

  • Experience with speech recognition, TTS, or building voice agents that orchestrate LLMs.
  • Familiarity with WER analysis, model selection and tuning, and accuracy‑versus‑latency tradeoffs.
  • Experience operating self‑hosted systems, including Helm‑based deployments and observability for production services.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, data residency, and compliance topics that appear in EMEA enterprise reviews.
  • Fluency in an additional European language such as German, French, Dutch, Italian, or Spanish.

How We Work

-----------

  • Remote across EMEA with periodic regional meetups.
  • Collaboration with colleagues in the Americas and APAC to support continuous coverage.
  • Shared playbooks, defined escalation paths, and measurable SLAs.

Interview Process

-----------------

  • Recruiter screen focused on experience, motivations, and logistics.
  • Hiring manager conversation focused on technical depth and customer impact.
  • Technical assessment that mirrors real work. Expect practical coding, architecture discussion, and debugging.
  • Panel interviews with cross‑functional partners.
  • A presentation simulating a post-sales customer engagement, based on a provided case study. Additionally, you’ll be asked to present a past customer‑facing technical engagement that you led, including the problem, your approach, and measurable outcomes.

This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5.

Note: this role is based out of the APAC territory.

The Opportunity

---------------

Deepgram is expanding across APAC and operating a true follow-the-sun model. We are hiring a Solutions Architect in APAC to own complex post-sales engagements, guide customers to production, and strengthen technical support coverage for the region. You will work across the full customer lifecycle with a primary focus on architecture, implementation, and Tier-3 technical problem solving. You will also contribute to pre-sales validation when deep technical credibility is needed, partner with Product and Engineering on feedback and roadmap, and help mature our global operations.

About Applied Engineering at Deepgram

-------------------------------------

Applied Engineering combines what many companies split across Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Consulting, and Senior Technical Support. We are the technical interface from first discovery through successful production and beyond. The team partners closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and DevRel to deliver an enterprise-grade experience that is fast, clear, and outcome oriented.

What You Will Do

----------------

  • Lead architecture and implementation for enterprise deployments that use Deepgram speech-to-text (STT), text-to-speech (TTS), and voice agent (VA) capabilities.
  • Own post-sales technical success for assigned accounts. Unblock integrations, optimize accuracy and latency, and guide customers to stable production.
  • Serve as the Tier-3 escalation point for complex issues. Drive root cause analysis, propose mitigations, and write durable fixes or automation when possible.
  • Design reference architectures and implementation patterns for common APAC customer use cases including contact centers, voice analytics, QA, and AI agents.
  • Build high-quality samples, internal tools, or scripts that make repeatable tasks easier for customers and for our team.
  • Contribute to pre-sales discovery and POCs when deep technical direction is needed. Translate business goals to a concrete plan with clear success criteria.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to prioritize fixes and features. Bring crisp customer signals that improve our roadmap.
  • Contribute to knowledge systems. Capture runbooks, playbooks, and docs that scale your expertise across regions and languages.
  • Participate in an on-call or incident rotation appropriate for the region and customer support tier. Help us meet or outperform regional SLAs.

Regional Expectations

---------------------

  • Based in an APAC time zone with reliable overlap to customer business hours across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and ANZ.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Additional Asian languages are a strong plus, especially Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or Hindi.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and enterprise security reviews common across APAC, for example Singapore PDPA, Japan APPI, Korea PIPA, Australia’s Privacy Act, and India’s DPDP Act.
  • Ability to travel within the region for critical customer milestones, estimated 10 to 20 percent.

Your First 90 Days

------------------

First 30 days

Ramp on Deepgram’s platform, APIs, SDKs, self-hosted deployments, and support practices. Shadow calls across pre-sales, post-sales, and support. Begin owning low-risk technical tasks for an active account and contribute improvements to runbooks or sample code relevant to APAC environments.

By day 60

Own 2-3 customer workstreams end to end. Lead discovery for one new implementation or migration. Publish one reusable asset such as a deployment guide, Helm example, or troubleshooting playbook with APAC nuances like regional cloud endpoints and data residency.

By day 90

Act as primary technical owner for several APAC accounts in production. Close at least one complex investigation with measurable customer impact. Present a short readout on a repeated regional pattern and the automation or content you created to solve it.

You Will Thrive Here If You

---------------------------

  • Enjoy solving hard customer problems at the code, container, and cloud layers.
  • Like translating real-world constraints into clear architectures and plans.
  • Are comfortable writing and reading production-grade code, not just sample snippets.
  • Value crisp documentation, reproducible runbooks, and operational excellence.
  • Care about delivering outcomes, not just closing tickets.

Minimum Qualifications

----------------------

  • 5 or more years in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
  • Professional software engineering experience in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or TypeScript. You can build POCs and tools that real users run.
  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms. Comfortable with containerization and orchestration, for example Docker and Kubernetes, and with secure network design for API-driven systems.
  • Proven ownership of complex post-sales work such as production deployments, migrations, performance tuning, and incident response.
  • Clear written and verbal communication across both technical and executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

------------------------

  • Experience with speech recognition, TTS, or building voice agents that orchestrate LLMs.
  • Familiarity with WER analysis, model selection and tuning, and accuracy-versus-latency tradeoffs.
  • Experience operating self-hosted systems, including Helm-based deployments and observability for production services.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, data residency, and compliance topics that appear in APAC enterprise reviews.
  • Fluency in one additional Asian language such as Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, or Hindi.

How We Work

-----------

  • Remote across APAC with periodic regional meetups.
  • Collaboration with colleagues in EMEA and the Americas to support continuous coverage.
  • Shared playbooks, defined escalation paths, and measurable SLAs.

Interview Process

-----------------

  • Recruiter screen focused on experience, motivations, and logistics.
  • Hiring manager conversation focused on technical depth and customer impact.
  • Technical assessment that mirrors real work. Expect practical coding, architecture discussion, and debugging.
  • Panel interviews with cross-functional partners.
  • Short presentation on a customer-facing technical win you led. Explain the problem, your approach, and measurable outcomes.

If this sounds like you, we would love to meet you!

Video

  • Lead the strategy and execution for brand-forward video storytelling
  • Partner with creative and product marketing teams to develop thought leadership and brand narrative content
  • Drive distribution through owned and earned channels

How We Measure Success In This Role:

  • Significant elevation of Deepgram brand recognition across the voice AI and enterprise ecosystems
  • Measurable increase in perception of Deepgram as a modern, AI-forward brand
  • Strong growth in reach and engagement across social channels
  • Creation and placement of standout digital and print ads that build lasting brand equity

  • 7+ years across brand and awareness functions, including social, PR, AR, influencers, video, and advertising

  • Outstanding storyteller with a strong visual and narrative sensibility
  • Experience working in high-growth tech environments with small, scrappy teams
  • Track record of leading disruptive brand campaigns that challenged convention and broke through crowded markets

Preferred Experience

Job Description

We're looking for a CI/CD Architect to drive our platform initiatives as we scale into a SaaS-first, high-velocity engineering organization. You'll partner with product engineering, SRE, and leadership to transform our CI/CD, evolve our repository and service architecture, and embed operational best practices across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation and optimization of CI/CD frameworks, developer tooling, and platform enablement using GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and modern deployment strategies
  • Execute the strategy to split our monorepo and evolve our repo & build systems with intelligent caching and microservices CI/CD
  • Create self-service CI/CD platforms that reduce build & deployment time from hours to minutes
  • Manage artifact registries, dependency management, and create secure, scalable build environments supporting our transition to SaaS architecture.
  • Build a scalable SaaS platform foundation — deployment automation, provisioning, multi-tenancy considerations using GitOps patterns
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed SRE practices into daily workflows (observability, reliability reviews, incident response)
  • Contribute to building a high-impact platform engineering team focused on developer experience and productivity
  • Be hands-on in technical design and architectural decisions, especially around CI/CD, deployments, and platform services
  • Partner with security and compliance on platform-level initiatives including automated security scanning and GitLab security features
  • Establish automated testing strategies, quality gates, and feedback loops for development teams
  • Implement pipeline observability and performance optimization with GitLab monitoring and ArgoCD dashboards

Qualifications and Skills

  • 10+ years in engineering roles, with at least 7+ years building/deploying platform tooling at scale
  • Expert-level knowledge of CI/CD tools, particularly GitLab CI/CD and hands-on experience with GitOps and ArgoCD
  • Proven experience splitting monolithic codebases or moving towards service-oriented architectures
  • SaaS operational experience — understanding of multi-tenancy, deployment automation, and release engineering
  • Experience driving SRE principles like observability, incident management, and operational excellence within engineering teams
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience mentoring other engineers and working cross-functionally
  • Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi, Terraform, CloudFormation), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Deep understanding of software build systems, dependency management, and security best practices in CI/CD pipelines

Technical Skills & Platform Focus:

CI/CD Platforms: GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Tekton, CircleCI

Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm

If you’re ready to stop building brittle bots and start building AI that builds AI — this is your playground.

  • Architect and deploy agent-based systems using LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom frameworks
  • Build and optimize RAG pipelines — from smart chunking to embeddings and vector search - Fine-tune and evaluate LLMs for reliability, relevance, and factuality
  • Design evolving prompt and memory systems driven by LLMs and user feedback

Nice to have:

  • Open-source model experience (LLaMA3, Mistral, Mixtral) or custom inference stacks - Judge models, feedback loops, or synthetic user testing architectures
  • Familiarity with prompt injection defenses, output validation, or agent safety
  • Experience deploying generative AI in web or mobile products
  • Academic or industry background in statistics, cognitive science, or human-AI interaction

  • Strong leadership background in design management, especially coaching other managers and senior ICs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mobile-first design (iOS and Android) and internal tools.
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, user research, content strategy, and design systems.
  • Comfortable operating in agile, fast-paced environments while championing process and quality.
  • Strong storytelling and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across senior levels.
  • Empathy for end-users (riders), passion for social impact, and an eye for design craft.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

We are on the lookout for a Principal, AI Agent Strategy & Operations to join the Vendor team on our journey to always deliver amazing experiences.

As part of our Vendor Team, you’ll be the driving force behind the success of thousands of restaurants, shops, and local businesses. Your contributions will empower vendors with advanced tools to manage their operations, boosting their visibility and reach. Every feature you help build will create growth opportunities for businesses of all sizes, strengthening Delivery Hero’s ecosystem and impact.

You will sit at the intersection of business, product, and operations, ensuring that our AI-powered agents not only work but scale reliably across 60+ countries. These agents are designed to support restaurant partners by advising them, driving growth, and automating key workflows, and your job is to make sure this happens at speed and with impact.

This is not a traditional ops role. We’re looking for someone with strong business acumen, structured thinking, and a drive to get things done in ambiguity. You may not have a background in product operations, and that’s okay. What matters more is your ability to move fast, solve tough problems, and collaborate across diverse teams.

  • Design and operationalize scalable processes that support AI agent rollout, improvement, and adoption across markets
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and market ops teams to turn product vision into execution
  • Build structured performance evaluation and feedback mechanisms to monitor agent success and uncover friction points
  • Support go-to-market, experimentation, and agent tuning initiatives to ensure local success and global consistency
  • Translate business insights into product recommendations, acting as a strategic partner to the product and data leads

What you need to be successful

  • 4+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-output environment such as management consulting, venture capital, or a startup / scale-up
  • Strong problem-solving, with the ability to break down ambiguity into clear, actionable plans
  • Solid commercial sense and analytical skills — you can connect user outcomes to business results
  • Execution-focused, with a self-starter mindset and comfort in navigating unstructured environments
  • Great communicator and team collaborator — able to align diverse stakeholders and keep momentum
  • Interest in the evolving field of AI, with a curiosity for how technology can drive real-world business transformation

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with data teams is a plus

  • Strong track record building and scaling enterprise demand engines that contribute directly to revenue growth.
  • Deep expertise in ABM strategy and execution, including campaign design, orchestration tools, and personalization.
  • Experience mapping lifecycle stages and deploying cross-channel programs that increase engagement and conversion across the funnel.
  • Data-driven with strong operational skills—comfortable owning attribution, forecasting, and campaign reporting.
  • Proficient in marketing and sales tech stack (Salesforce, HubSpot/Marketo, 6sense/Demandbase, Outreach/Salesloft, etc.).
  • Excellent collaborator with a history of aligning tightly with Sales, SDR, and Marketing leadership.
  • Strategic thinker and crisp communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

You will create sales opportunities for Deepgram as you share our mission with CTOs, VPs of Product, and CEOs. You are a critical component in Deepgram’s Revenue organization and will play a pivotal role in growing our top-line revenue to new heights!

  • Have a depth of understanding regarding customer needs in the ASR space, competition, and Deepgram products to be able to fully articulate our value proposition
  • Research companies to find new speech recognition use cases and opportunities in the market

You’ll Love This Role If You

  • Value having leadership that has tenure and a track record of success
  • Thrive working with A Players as cross-functional partners across GTM
  • Understand the importance of selling a product that is market validated and can deliver on its technical promise
  • Are passionate about what Deepgram is building and how we are changing what is possible with speech

It’s Important to Us That You Have

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Empathy and a unique ability to understand customer needs
  • Strong organizational and exceptional time-management skills due to reaching out to many different companies every day
  • Ability to deliver results to our customers and the Deepgram team

It Would Be Great If You Had

  • Prior sales experience, especially selling a technical product to technical decision makers
  • Experience prospecting companies that fit an ideal customer profile and understanding their business
  • Consistently overachieved against sales targets in past experiences

Software Engineer, Infrastructure

 •
Metronome
New York City
Series B
51-100

Metronome is the leading usage-based billing platform built for modern software companies. We help teams launch products faster, iterate on pricing quickly, and deliver a first-class billing experience—all with speed, control, and confidence.

zx3F
vr2v
xFI9
p1w8

About the Role

--------------

The Infrastructure team builds foundational systems at scale. We're hundreds o billions of events per day through world scale custom streaming infrastructure, running invoice computations that push the limits of distributed systems, and building platforms that need to be correct, fast, and efficient simultaneously.

Work spans the full infrastructure stack—from streaming platforms ingesting usage data, to huge offline batch jobs, to the observability and deployment tooling that keeps everything running reliably. Every platform you build multiplies the effectiveness of the entire engineering org. If you're energized by hard technical challenges, building infrastructure that becomes a competitive moat, and operating systems at world scale, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

--------------

  • Build platforms that scale: Design and operate foundational infrastructure—Kubernetes clusters, Kafka streaming platforms, Spark batch processing, observability systems—that handle billions of events and enable Metronome to grow with minimal friction.
  • Enable product velocity: Create golden paths, abstractions, and tooling that let engineers ship faster and more reliably without becoming infrastructure experts themselves.
  • Enable reliability as the product: Take accountability for system uptime, performance, and correctness. Build monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems that enable the entire team catch problems before customers notice.
  • Drive technical direction: Shape Metronome's infrastructure strategy, make platform-level architectural decisions, and mentor engineers across the organization.

Impact You'll Have

------------------

  • Multiply engineering effectiveness: Every tool you build, every deployment pipeline you improve, every observability gap you close makes dozens of engineers more productive. Your infrastructure decisions directly impact what and how fast the company can ship.
  • Power mission-critical workloads: Our infrastructure processes financial data for companies like Confluent, OpenAI and Anthropic—where accuracy, performance, and reliability aren't nice-to-haves, they're requirements. You'll build systems where correctness matters and downtime has real consequences.
  • Shape how we scale: You'll have a real voice in how we architect systems to handle 10x growth, which technologies we bet on, and how we build a world-class infrastructure organization.

Qualifications

--------------

  • 5+ years building infrastructure systems: Hands-on experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, data pipelines, observability, CI/CD, or other foundational platforms.
  • Ownership of production systems: Track record of operating mission-critical infrastructure with strong focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Force multiplier mindset: You build platforms that enable others. You create abstractions that make complex systems approachable. You think about developer experience as a first-class concern.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: You partner effectively with product teams, communicate technical decisions clearly, and mentor engineers across experience levels.

Tech stack

----------

The main expectation for the role is you’re excited to learn and work with whatever technologies make the most sense for the problem at hand. That said, our current tech stack includes:

  • Cloud Infrastructure (AWS: EKS, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, and more)
  • Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Streaming & Batch Processing (Kafka, Kafka Streams, Spark)
  • Languages (Python, TypeScript, Java, Go)

Compensation

The estimated base salary range for this role is $171,200 - $246,000. In addition to your base salary, Metronome offers a competitive total rewards package, including but not limited to, market-benched equity, sales incentive pay (for eligible roles), comprehensive health benefits, and other benefits listed below.

The actual base salary will vary based on factors including market value, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process, and previous experience. The listed range above should serve as a guideline and may be modified at any time.

We believe that compensation reflects the expected impact you will have at the company, relative to the market value of your role. We also conduct an annual pay audit to ensure pay is fair, indexed to market value, and that pay takes into account continued performance at Metronome. If you would like to learn more about our philosophy or about why we are all billing nerds, send us a message. We’d love to talk!
