  • Proficiency in communication protocols such as REST and WebSocket.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Basic knowledge of Argo and/or Ansible.
  • Familiarity with CICD tools (GoCD, Circle CI, Gitlab CI).
  • Experience with cloud services (Google, AWS, Azure).
  • Automation skills using bash or python.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (Kibana, Grafana, Splunk, Elasticsearch).
  • Strong understanding of testing practices, both unit and integration testing.
  • Experience with high-volume, highly available websites.
  • Ability to develop and troubleshoot new and existing software within integration scope.
  • Perform application tests and remediate errors as needed.
  • Ensure smooth third-party API integrations.
  • Contribute to the development and peer review of technical solutions and documentation.

The Commercial Counsel will provide guidance on a variety of commercial legal issues, including by drafting and negotiating  Order Forms, Master Service Agreements and Data Privacy Agreements, and responding to compliance related requests  from internal parties, clients and other external parties. The Commercial Counsel is a high-impact role in which you will become a trusted advisor to key stakeholders while utilizing a diverse skillset in contract negotiation, critical thinking and problem-solving. Responsibilities:

  • Independently review, draft and negotiate customer SaaS agreements, including MSAs, Order Forms, DPAs and NDAs, while identifying and managing risk for the company.
  • Maintain and improve existing sales contracting processes and work on other legal and compliance projects.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Deal Desk, Information Security, Product, and other teams to negotiate contracts, work on cross-functional projects, and  ensure compliance with Movable’s policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications:

  • A JD from an accredited law school with admission to a state bar
  • 3+ years of legal experience, with focus on drafting and negotiating SaaS, software licensing, and other technology related contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, and NDAs.
  • Solid understanding of commercial contract terms (e.g., intellectual property rights, indemnification, and limitations of liability) and the ability to translate that understanding into redlines and articulate in negotiations.
  • Basic knowledge of data privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA; experience in negotiating Data Privacy Agreements is a plus.

Compensation
