About the Role

We are looking for an experienced infrastructure leader to own and scale the technical foundation that powers Metronome's platform. As Head of Infrastructure, you'll lead a growing team of ~15 engineers responsible for the real-time systems that process billions of events, millions of invoices and enable some of the world's most innovative companies to build their operations on Metronome.

This role combines deep technical expertise with organizational leadership, owning the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of our infrastructure layer. You'll be responsible for ensuring our platform can handle exponential customer growth while maintaining the enterprise-grade reliability that our customers depend on for their critical business operations.

What You'll Do

Infrastructure Leadership and Strategy

  • Lead and grow a team of 15+ infrastructure engineers, managing both engineering managers and senior individual contributors while providing mentorship, career development, and technical guidance across multiple teams

  • Proven track record scaling critical infrastructure at high-growth companies
  • Deep expertise in modern infrastructure technologies including streaming data platforms, distributed systems architecture, cloud platforms, observability stacks, and infrastructure-as-code

Compensation

The estimated base salary range for this role is $220,000 - 275,000. About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on security generalist to build Metronome's security program as we scale. Security is critical to Metronome, and we've architected our products with security in mind from the get-go—zero trust architecture, principle of least privilege, first-class in-product RBAC and access controls, and strong SOC 1 & SOC 2 compliance. As we grow, we need a dedicated security leader who can build our security team and program, own the program management side of security, and tackle the customer assurance work that needs focused ownership.

In this role, you'll be the face of security at Metronome, owning our entire security function with a focus on customer trust building, risk reduction, and engineering enablement. You'll get your hands dirty with everything from SOC audits to security questionnaires to vulnerability management, building the security organization from the ground up. Customer Trust Building

  • Serve as the definitive security voice for sales calls, customer meetings, and enterprise security discussions
  • Transform our customer assurance process from shared ownership to dedicated, streamlined execution

Engineering Enablement

  • Partner with our 50+ engineer engineering team to maintain security excellence while minimizing development friction, creating a “pit of success”, where building secure software is the natural, easy path
  • Review security architecture decisions and provide security guidance that accelerates rather than blocks development

Future Organization Building

About the Role

As an Enterprise Account Executive at Metronome, you'll be at the forefront of the usage-based pricing revolution, working across organizations to drive strategic monetization transformations and help bring new products to market. You'll orchestrate complex sales cycles involving engineering leaders, product teams, finance operators, and C-suite stakeholders, helping them reimagine their pricing strategies and customer billing experience to unlock new revenue potential.

This role requires you to be hybrid in San Francisco or New York City.

What You'll Do

  • Build and maintain relationships across the entire customer organization, from developers and product managers to CEOs
  • Lead strategic discussions with executives about modernizing their monetization strategy while simultaneously engaging with highly technical teams on implementation details
  • Own the full sales cycle for enterprise accounts, from prospecting and discovery through technical validation, commercial negotiation, and close
  • Navigate complex organizational dynamics to build consensus among technical and business stakeholders
  • Develop executive-level business cases that demonstrate the ROI of usage-based pricing while working with engineering teams to validate technical feasibility
  • Partner with Solutions Engineers to architect and validate technical solutions during proof-of-concept engagements
  • Help shape product strategy by synthesizing feedback from both technical and business stakeholders
  • Define and refine our enterprise sales playbook as a foundational member of the strategic sales team

Qualifications

  • You have 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with a focus on technical sales to product and engineering teams
  • You're equally comfortable presenting to C-suite executives and white-boarding with engineering teams and excel at building relationships across organizations and orchestrating complex, multi-stakeholder deals
  • You have experience selling technical infrastructure or developer tools
  • You're naturally curious about technology and enjoy diving deep into technical concepts – tactically you can translate technical concepts into business value for executive audiences while maintaining credibility with technical teams.
  • You have strong business acumen and can effectively communicate ROI to finance and executive stakeholders
  • You're comfortable operating in fast-paced startup environments, see opportunity in ambiguity, and are excited to help build something from the ground up

We're seeking an experienced Developer Relations Engineer who will champion Metronome's developer experience strategy and contribute to our broader developer experience initiatives. This role combines a strong intuitive sense for the life of a developer with hands-on engineering skills to drive comprehensive documentation, community engagement, and tools that help developers succeed with our platform.  

What You'll Do

As Metronome's first Developer Relations Engineer, you will define and execute a strategy to continuously improve the developer experience of using Metronome.

Developer Experience

  • Identify and implement improvements to the developer journey
  • Create and maintain SDK examples and starter projects
  • Build internal tools to improve documentation workflows
  • Contribute to the design of developer-facing features
  • Gather and analyze developer feedback to drive documentation improvements

Documentation Leadership

  • Own and execute our technical documentation strategy
  • Create clear, concise, and accurate documentation for APIs, SDKs, and integrations
  • Design and maintain our documentation infrastructure and tooling
  • Develop tutorials, guides, and sample applications that showcase best practices
  • Produce engaging video content demonstrating key features and integration workflows

Technical Communication
