What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within the e-commerce industry, demonstrating a proven track record of strategic vision and product management.
• Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
• Ability to roll-up your sleeves and execute, not just manage a team.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience using metrics and data analytics to drive decision-making.

Linktree is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $ $195,000-$260,000 in the San Francisco Bay area. As Staff Data Scientist for Linktree’s Growth team, you’ll be responsible for planning, launching and evaluating a wide range of experiments to fuel our company’s growth. These experiments will help Linktree test key hypotheses, and will unlock impactful new opportunities for our tens of millions of users and our billions of visitors around the world. Most of all, they’ll help Linktree achieve our mission: To empower anyone to curate and grow their digital universe.

You’ll design smart, scrappy experiments that help us collect directional signals quickly, and you’ll also orchestrate more formal hypothesis tests that give us deeper insights on our most important ideas. In both cases, you’ll help us learn quickly by working in lean, build-measure-learn cycles.

​

You’ll be part of a cross-functional growth team of engineers, product managers, product designers and data scientists, fostering cross-discipline collaborations to achieve impressive results. You’ll work across a broad range of modern statistical techniques, and you’ll communicate your findings in a way that’s easy for your team-mates to understand. You’ll also mentor our other Data Scientists, drawing on your considerable professional experience to help distil best practices and drive their development.

You’ll work 3 days per week from our LA or SF office (you can choose which!), and 2 days per week from home.

What You'll Do

​

• You’ll design, implement, monitor and evaluate a wide range of experiments to help us test key hypotheses and learn from our users;
• You’ll distil insights that you share widely throughout the company, and that inform our future product direction;
• You’ll build and own important datasets that quantify key aspects of our activation funnel, and you’ll mentor your team-mates on how best to use these datasets to drive impact;
• You’ll monitor key metrics for our growth team, and collaborate with your team-mates to ensure we’re making good progress towards our business goals;
• You’ll mentor other Data Scientists and share your deep expertise of your craft;
• You’ll stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data science, to ensure we’re always operating at the cutting-edge;
• You’ll contribute to our overall data strategy, ensuring we remain competitive and innovative;
• You’ll evangelise best practices for data and statistics, and drive adoption across the company.

Who We're Looking For

​

• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience as a Data Scientist in a Growth team at a high-growth, product-centric technology company;
• You have hands-on experience of driving a wide range growth experiments, from quick-and-scrappy “spikes” to more formal hypothesis tests;
• You have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, or a related discipline (a Master’s Degree or PhD is a bonus);
• You have clear experience of using data to drive business impact;
• You thrive in a fast-paced, agile product development environment;
• You have experience using “build-measure-learn” cycles to ship quickly, iterate and derive powerful insights;
• You can work from our LA or SF office 3 days per week.

The role summary

As Linktree has become a global brand our service and infrastructure footprint has grown significantly. Reporting to the CTO, you will lead & manage a squad of Platform engineers. You will utilise your strengths in people and technical leadership to develop and grow teams of 3-8 engineers building the critical product features and integrations that are the future of Linktree. As their manager, you drive your team and the individuals within to do the greatest work of their career together, and your technical expertise will level everybody up around you.

We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with a strong background in application security to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leading our security strategy, with a specific focus on securing our applications and software development lifecycle. This role requires a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about being deeply involved in both strategic planning and hands-on implementation.

Despite this massive scale, we are a tiny company, 60 engineers strong, getting to move fast and drive impact. • Leadership and Strategy:

+ Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives.

• Front-End Development:

+ Develop efficient, maintainable, and scalable front-end code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).

+ Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.

+ Optimize front-end code for performance and responsiveness.

• Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

The Role

Linktree’s Data Engineering team is at the forefront of transforming the way Linktree leverages data, working closely with the insights, data platform product and marketing teams to become truly data driven.

As a Staff Data Engineer at Linktree, you will be the driving force behind scaling how data is consumed at Linktree. Not only will you be modelling some of our most important data sets to gain insights, such as the data that helps us understand the driving factors behind the success of our product or our revenue, we take self-service one step further. You will also build the platform that can be used by Data Analysts, Marketers, Engineers and anyone else who is interested to model their own data to fit their specific needs and not be dependent on a data team.

• Continue leading the transformation to make data a first-class citizen in software development at Linktree. This includes defining standards and providing guidance to product teams who emit the vast majority of our data.
• Build and maintaining robust, efficient and integrated data models. We don’t believe that Analytics Engineers should be painfully cleaning up after others and deal with bad data all day long, if you are faced with a “garbage in, garbage out” situation, you will work with the engineers in our product teams to come up with a better way to emit the raw data.
• You will also provide support to other data users including peer-reviews, training and acting as a data modeling/SQL/dbt SME across various business initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

• A platform mindset. Data teams main focus is not to do repetitive data transformation and integration jobs for others. The team builds the infrastructure and tools that allows Linktree to perform these tasks at scale by enabling all teams to perform data-related jobs themselves.
• You understand data-driven product development and have experience with the typical tools used by high-performing product teams, such product analytics, experimentation, but also general purpose BI tools.
• Experience in data modeling with the ability to translate business requirements to fit for purpose data products for critical use-cases (reporting to the board, understanding key drivers of product success).

As Staff Data Scientist for Linktree’s Core Product Analytics team, you’ll be responsible for planning, launching and evaluating a wide range of experiments in our core product. These experiments will help Linktree test key hypotheses, and will unlock impactful new opportunities for our tens of millions of users and our billions of visitors around the world. You’ll design smart, scrappy experiments that help us collect directional signals quickly, and you’ll also orchestrate more formal hypothesis tests that give us deeper insights on our most important ideas. In both cases, you’ll help us learn quickly by working in lean, build-measure-learn cycles.

The Role

As Staff Data Scientist for Linktree’s Core Product Analytics team, you’ll be responsible for planning, launching and evaluating a wide range of experiments in our core product. These experiments will help Linktree test key hypotheses, and will unlock impactful new opportunities for our tens of millions of users and our billions of visitors around the world. Most of all, they’ll help Linktree achieve our mission: To empower anyone to curate and grow their digital universe.

You’ll design smart, scrappy experiments that help us collect directional signals quickly, and you’ll also orchestrate more formal hypothesis tests that give us deeper insights on our most important ideas. In both cases, you’ll help us learn quickly by working in lean, build-measure-learn cycles.

​

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, product designers and data scientists, fostering cross-discipline collaborations to achieve impressive results. You’ll work across a broad range of modern statistical techniques, and you’ll communicate your findings in a way that’s easy for your team-mates to understand. You’ll also mentor our other Data Scientists, drawing on your considerable professional experience to help distil best practices and drive their development.

As ML Engineer for Linktree’s Data and Machine Learning team, you’ll be responsible for delivering new ML- and AI-powered experiences throughout our core product. Linktree is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior People and Culture Business Partner to join our team in California. In this role, you will primarily support the Product, Engineering and Design functions, providing expert guidance and support to ensure the success and well-being of our employees. As a Backend Engineer for Linktree’s Data and Machine Learning team, you’ll be responsible for building scalable, performant backend systems that support our data and ML capabilities. Linktree is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $155,000-$200,000 in the San Francisco Bay or Los Angeles area. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate expertise, the scope of role and level, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
